    "This one mana creature is ABSURD" That doesn't narrow it down much in MH3 . There's so many absurd 1 mana creatures.

    Could just be me projecting my own experience, but second OP was probably afraid to self-mill if it meant losing his most powerful gas without any way to recur it. I've found myself in that predicament as well, where even with limited decks explicitly designed to self-mill for value, it felt like I could be losing too much good stuff in the process.

      hmmm i don't really know the statistics of it but almost every game of magic that you play there are going to be cards in your deck you dont see. I figure it is just as likely that milling some cards will help you reach that card sitting on the bottom of your library as it is you will mill it. Don't be afraid especially if you could get value from it! unless the game is dragging on soo long and know you will live long enough to draw it eventually

      It's understandable but just imagine you're milling from the bottom of your deck. You'll never have seen those cards anyway unless the game literally goes to decking.

      I think this was a relevant issue in OTJ limited too, especially with the card Desperate Bloodseeker where in a lot of matches people would often times mill their opponent, even in circumstances where they ran cards that care about graveyards, or the opponent was running colors that could potentially indicate a more graveyard focused strat, i.e. Golgari. The thing to keep in mind is that milling is entirely random, you are just as likely to mill your bombs as you are your useless cards. You should never be throwing a game either like the 2nd OP because you're worried about milling stuff.

    • @brandonsanders649
      @brandonsanders649 3 месяца назад +3

      Yes, it's almost always advantageous to mill yourself rather than your opponent as there are a multitude of ways to play cards from your graveyard and you would rather have that option than give it to your opponent. There are some edge cases with Desperate Bloodseeker in OTJ however, as you may want to target your opponent in order to commit a crime.

      @@veenee-I agree with the sentiment only thing to note is some sealed pools won’t operate well without their end game bombs, ie no synergy or aggressive lines. In that exact scenario I can see opting to not mill yourself but still hard not to there

    Sick thing I just realized: the land that moves counters can move lore counters off of sagas to other creatures. Bam, you have a modified creature and you're exiling their weak stuff every turn (or whichever chapter you want to repeat).

    What spells deal with Breaker of Creation in format? Off the top of my head, the only colorless removal I know of is Null Elemental Blast, and that only targets multicolored spells...

      Blue has a few ways to bounce it or tap it, green can bite with horrific assault, red has Ghostfire Slice and Fanged Flames, might be some others that I'm forgetting too.

    23:45 everyone assumes OP is dumb when most likely they had big eldrazi without reach so they had to top deck a removal and that's why they didn't dredge

    Not be yelling at my screen to keep Nesting Ground bc you can proliferate and move vigilance/flying counters.
    Reckon that pool would’ve made a pretty neat abzan deck too

    Guide of Souls is completely disgusting. I drafted an aggro Boros deck with it and Party Thrasher, it was so stupid.
    Played Guide turn 1 into Hexgold Slith, Amped Raptor or Conduit Goblin turn 2 three times, opponent conceded by turn 3-4 all three times. If you don't remove it immediately, you just die.
    And Party Thrasher along with it was just stupid. Went 7-1 easily, only losing one game to another aggro deck that started on the play and curved out with an insanely fast hand.
