That water thing looks like an observation post to me. They were made to a standard design and I've come across quite a few. Quick Google confirmed it, it's the Fabrick observation post. Good video, thanks.
Hey Dan, nice vid. I’m also doing the summit camp, a great cause/fundraiser. Alan’s done a great job organising it. I’m currently on 205 wainwrights, hoping to complete them in a month or 2. If you’re thinking of doing Scafell Pike & Scafell in one walk, just bare in mind it’s pretty tough going as after SP, you need to drop down to Mickeldore & then ascend Scafell via Lords Rake or Fox’s tarn. Both are harder than you think. Lords Rake is better imo due to the stunning views but it’s steep & loose. If you’re also doing Seatallan, it’s a great walk to tie in Middle Fell & Buckbarrow (both wainwright’s) doing a circular walk. Only about 5mile, but it’s a steep grass climb up to Seatallan. Take care Dave
Thanks for watching, which summit have you got for the summit camp? Thanks for the info about the Wainwright's, especially Scafell, very much appreciated 👏
Always great to bag a trig. I think you are right Dan, give it a couple of years and they will get the one on every summit. Enjoy the upcoming Wainwright's with the dudes. Thanks for sharing.
@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling I'm not sure on that, you're a pretty seasoned hiker now, conquered Edale Skyline that I couldn't do in a day, so, don't underestimate yourself!
Brill vid Dan ...was in Ashover a couple of months ago to All Saints Church to do a report on paranormal goings on ...there is an empty stone coffin that if you lie in it you can hear the chains of hell...needless to say we didn't have the nerve to try it so project scrapped and we went to Matlock instead 😂...Good luck with the new venture...Cheers Les🙂👍
@lespickering5080 what a brilliant story! By the looks I'll be visiting Ashover again so will be sure to check it out, if I'm not to scared! Hooe you're well mate
Ey up me duck.
Nice one fella, I hope the mountain rescue team stay afloat, it's a great service 👍🙂
Yeah, it's on of the lesser known teams in the Lake District, they don't even have their own permanent HQ so it's well worthy
Nice one Dan. Nice to here about your plans for the wainwright's. Was up on Ashover rocks the other week. Some cracking views from up there 👌
Yeah, first time I've been up but it's a great spot for sure 👌

Not been up there for years. I wild Camped up there many years ago.
Looks a very popular and well frequented spot now. Though, almost a perfect flat grass top for a pitch! Thanks for watching pal 👍
@@1982Noddin I’m talking a long time ago before “Wild Camping” became popular.
