    Yes. According to the Buddha, craving depends on feeling. We can observe pleasurable feelings to reduce craving.

    "The age-old riddle has finally been settled. Eggs are much older than chickens. Dinosaurs laid eggs, the fish that first crawled out of the sea laid eggs, and the weird articulated monsters that swam in the warm shallow seas of the Cambrian Period 500 million years ago also laid eggs."

    • @Buddhasecret2024
      @Buddhasecret2024  3 месяца назад

      Thank you for sharing this interesting information! It’s true that eggs have been around long before chickens and even before many other animals. This is a fascinating topic that opens up many opportunities to explore the evolution and history of life on Earth.
      Do you think that discoveries about eggs and the evolution of animals could influence how we understand the development of species today? Feel free to share more of your thoughts!

    A thing that dependently exists like, for example, ignorance or avidya, the first of the twelve nidānas, receives its being from something else, not from itself. Ignorance then is ignorance of the other which is independent or self-existent (svabhāva). This of course is pure Mind or absolute Spirit. Dependent origination (pratītyasamutpāda) according to Nagarjuna means every element of our conditioned existence is unreal and illusory (māyā). Hence, its reality consists in śūnyatā. This śūnyatā, says Nagarjuna (Mūlamadhyamakakārikā XXIV 18), is dependent origination.

      Thank you for sharing such a deep passage on Nāgārjuna's thought! The ideas of emptiness and dependent origination truly open up new ways of understanding the nature of reality. I’m really interested in hearing more of your thoughts on how we can actually perceive and grasp this concept in our everyday life experiences.

      Thank you for your comment! It’s true that times have changed and various perspectives, like those of Dr. Carl Sagan and Dr. Richard Dawkins, offer valuable insights. While modern science and perspectives are important, many still find profound wisdom in the teachings of the Buddha. What do you think about the intersection of scientific and spiritual views? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
