That's a 1762 Louis XV 1 ecu silver crown coin. It's in fairly good condition. Worth $50-100 USD. Don't clean it more than a rinse!

It’s so much fun when you find a safe with stuff inside! Most of the time we’re not able to return it to the owners as there’s no personal items inside, but with this one there’s a big chance we’ll find her again and it doesn’t get any better than that! 😃😃

There is always a chance that the empty jewelry cases ate because the owners had them in their possession wearing them when someone stole the safe. It's just a hunch seeing that there is still valuable treasures in the safe.
Yes it’s possible! It would be the best case scenario for the owner because then they didn’t lose everything 😃
You guys should get a kitchen plastic sieve to pour the water through in case of diamonds or small finds you can’t feel with hands or gloves great finds and love your videos whims too

I’m disabled so I don’t get out of the house much especially over the winter. Your videos really entertain me. Last summer I went and got me a small magnet but it’s not strong enuff to grab anything. I can’t pull killer heavy stuff anyway but then I just saw you had that wench! It’s got me all excited about getting one this spring along with a bigger magnet! I like to fish too but that gets old. So magnet fishing seems more exciting! I can’t wait for Spring now!

Great finds, what was the big chunk of silver BTW?
I can't help think that for those sorts of more remote locations (ie not city centre) that you need some sort of metal device that can go over the lip of the canal?
You also need a couple of big hand sieves that you get at garden centres? That way you can dump the muddy contents of the safe into it and then sluice it through with clean water, that way you're not going to have to worry about losing anything bankside?

The silver round bar. I have found that one of the easiest ways to "test" is with a magnet, as silver does have a slight magnetic attraction. The one way to test for the slight magnetic attraction is to slide it down a magnet at about a 45% angle, the stronger the magnet, the better, and watch its speed. While that works on smaller silver coins, to test a bar, you need a smaller neodymium magnet, and you let it slide down the bar. Be sure to have a chunk of non-ferrous metal, like aluminum, and contrast the speed. A piece of aluminum or copper will just drop off, while silver will slowly slide off. Gold is slightly repulsive. Also, just because something is old does not mean that it is valuable, although I do think that big old coin most assuredly is worth much more than its silver! I have, for instance, an American 10-cent bill from the mid-1800s that I inherited. When I found it among the coin and bill collection my friend left me, I did a quick eBay search and found one in better shape, for $5US...

the red case is for a jewelry that specializes in earls but isnt "high" value. They are considered Decent. The watch is a common Swiss made brand that does have a couple high dollar ones. I havent been able to find anything on that particular model though. Ill keep looking!

Just remember. Most of these people have been paid out on the insurance. So they can gain twice. .or end up having to pay back on the insurance. Always worth asking especially for a finder's cut. When it's a high value.
@robinfuller Why do some people always want something in return for being honest. You don't know about anything of the owners. Mayby they working their butts off in an honest job. And now they are robbed of personal belongings.

Your like a SUPER DUDE.
On the coin from 1762, the LUD XV could refer to Louis XV of France, who reigned from 1710 to 1774. Writing on coins was sometimes done in Latin, so LUD would be short for Ludovicus, which is Latin for Louis. Re (or Rex) is Latin for 'king', and the last word should be some name for France. I can't read all the lettering on the reverse, but the 'Nomen Domini' would be '(in) the Name of the Lord', referencing the belief in the divine right of kings.

It is 100% an 1 Ecu coin from Louis XV era. 1762 production. Is made of silver 0.917. At the minute and in good condition they are worth around 300eur a pop.

Top notch, just as good as the " crown jewels" last week. I too collect coins, but don't recognise any highlighted here.. Can't help bet wonder whether the thieves are wealthy enough to though treasure away like, if you're in a hot spot for good fishing.
