"The Knights of the 42nd Horsebourne", what a line
RIP Harry Thompson
Directed by Mel Gibson.
Freeedoooooom!
Nah this one is by Michael Bay
The film parodies in Monkey Dust are all mocking Jerry Bruckheimer - credited as "Brickhammer" - who's infamous for casting the villains in his films as British.
"You can kill our families, but you'll never kill the crack"

Still more historically accurate than Braveheart…
You mean Kingdom of Heaven?
Now I know how Abe Lincoln felt after Napoleon attacked Pearl Harbor.
Ya' try pullin' a stunt like that in the holy land, you'll be comin' back in a body bag
Why didn't the BBC put the full version of this up? The training session in the beginning is brilliantly cliched!
Whoever did this should be given an award.
hahaha in the middle of the battle scene "Soundtrack In Stores Now"
The most accurate representation of the crusades ever!
"I guess coach was right"
🤣🤣🤣
damn, never knew how many americans were in the crusades. thank u!
Oh, since i'm seeing a lot of "why do americans make the british the bad guys?" comments and I am from the U.S., let me explain. Americans think that british accents sound very cool and more importantly, we think they make people sound more intelligent. So when they want to have a bad guy in a movie, they want people to believe the villain might actually be smart enough to win if the hero can't stop them. It's basically easier for the writers to make him british to relay the point that he's intelligent then actually write a background story for an american character.
I totally get that, its just the typical British accent in the films is incredibly posh when the vast majority of Brits have their own regional accents(loads of them), its as unfair representation as if we were to portray all 300 million plus Americans as speaking with a Texas accent, its really that wide of the mark.
For sure, they choose the "posh" received pronunciation because that's what americans perceive as the most intelligent. Also, Americans have some trouble understanding some of the regional accents. When i watch old monty python, i can be very difficult for me to make out what some characters are saying.
The English don’t generally get offended by being typecast either.
Isn't because you think British people are all homosexuals and code all your villains as homosexuals because you are a homophobic an bigoted people?
@@shawnhoffman7120 Take it from me, there's also a lot of xenophobia to tap. Try growing up in Ohio with an English accent.

lol
soundtrack in stores now lmao
I love how they've got American films down to a T.
English villains, stealing other peoples History, the token black guy and sentimentality. :D
That's Hollywood lol
Thanks to Two Pence, I found this.

Brilliant!
And if you liked this, I can also recommend "Churchill: The Hollywood Years," starring Christan Slater as Lt. Winston Churchill of the US Marine Corps.
(No seriously. It's a real film, and it's hilarious.)
"Soundtrack in stores now" - :D
this comedy scetch is about all the american movies about middle ages where all the good guys are american and the bad guys have english accents and are british actors.
That's Hollywood....BS central
In honour of all the Americans who died in the early middle ages.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Brilliant.
When will those nice people at the BBC finally release series 2 and 3 on DVD. Hmmm? Please!
This comedy sketch is absolutely perfect. It might sound ridiculous to say, but it's actually pretty racist the way American movies always make the bad guys have British accents.
Yeah, they hate foreign accents in the USA. Take from an Englishman who grew up in Ohio.
Next you're going to tell me we didn't help the Tudors win the War of the Roses.
Well said!
They'd never get away with making something like this today.
Why not?
@@JamesSmith-ny2gb because the industry just doesn’t take risks anymore, is heavily propagandised and is bedridden with identitarianism.

@sbilfer The Patriot too. Both are Mel Gibson films.

@sbilfer how about robin hood. Robin is kevin costner who is american and the lead baddie is alan rickman. I rest my case
@ChromaAurora: No. The US constitution forbids government interference in religion. Not that you'd know it to look at them....
Potatoes? In IOWA? Hahahaha
Zablaski was 2 days from retirement.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that!
Never laughed so much and i'm Irish.
That was the leauge of nations, and we did not cause the wall street crash.
I'm going to go right ahead and second that:
nice
Brilliant parody!
lol made my day.
Iowa's main agricultural exports: Pigs and corn. Potatoes? No, not so much.
And do you think anyone in Hollywood knows or cares? There's the joke.
@ChromaAurora No, only Catholic or formely catholic countries do
wait, wait, wait, so it was the russians who stole the nukes and covered it up to make it look like the koreans did it? such a complex story and tough to follow if you miss a second of it!

Final Fantasy X: The Hollywood Film
i like how the black guy's got a separate uniform.
He's probably Cornish.
He's the obligatory 'token black guy'.
@ChromaAurora Only Catholics actually believe or do anything involving the Saints themselves. No other Christian religion for the most part believes they're holy like the Catholic Church does.

Iowa is corn.
Even if the British people who wrote line that actually knew that, do you think Hollywood types actually care enough to get even that right? Even if it's unintentional, it's hilarious.

yes, if only we possessed the comic magic that gave the world friends, everybody loves raymond and scrubs.
Murican/republican stereotype EVER... BS CENTRAL😂🤣😅
Why are the jews always Irish in this show?
I'm not getting the joke.
It's making fun of the way Hollywood rewrites history for its movies. The heroes are always Americans, the villains always have British accents, and they throw in some Irish victims for the sentimental Bostonians and the Midwesterners whose family history 92% German-Polish with names like Krummbecker or Wierzbowski, but they have one Irish great-great-great-great-great grandmother, which makes them put on plastic green bowler hats, wear "Kiss Me, I'm Irish!" t-shirts, and drink Bud Lite dyed green in the middle of March every year.
I may have spent too long in Ohio.
so random
You're clearly trolling by posting that comment here. Either that or you're lacking in a decent sense of humour.
@ragdoll485 cor, way to state the obvious.xD
Haha, American crusaders. Tbf this is why I dont watch and american movies about knights.
Eeeebiiil Brits are damn everywhere... ;-)))
@Doperwtje81 NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Well, the US is an independent colony of Europeans, essentially Europeans on a foreign soil - very much akin to Christian European states in the Levant, so there's nothing breathtakingly wrong with poetically alluding to the crusaders as Americans. White Americans, for the most part, are representatives of the European nations that suffered significant casualties in the crusades.
@Sesquipedaliantique Parody or not it's STILL CRAP PROPAGANDA.
I hate that movie. The Patrick Bergin one was better
who cares
???
What kind of humor is that???
"In honour of all the Americans who died in the Early Middle Ages".
Yup, all zero of them*!
(*Unless the Native Americans are counted, but the chances are they won't be.)
That's the joke.
Why would anyone find that funny ?
