Hubris is a dangerous thing. Whilst I’m confident and our pressure rating is #1 in Comp which is what finals are built around, we have the flexibility of a strong team ethos too. I feel many are underestimating Geelong, these blokes are no joke and we’ve slightly off it will be hard to get it back on our terms. If we win it’ll be around 12 points or under 💪🏽
This game will really inform our season. Geelong is going to come hard. I’m more scared about our forwards then our defence. Jeremy Cameron will put Allir to work but as long as our midfield are not allowing bombs inside our defensive half, we will be ok. Pleeeeaaassee no Marshall. He’s so bad under finals pressure. If Esava plays a defensive-style forward that tackles (without giving 50s) and brings the ball down to the smalls, I’m happy.
I'll double it, think we'll win by around 30. Got a feeling we'll be hungrier around the contest as we've shown time and time again this year, our pressure and defensive effort in recent weeks has been the best in the comp in my opinion also
@@YellowHornetsOffical Rude awakening huh? Ended up getting bashed by 84 points Lesson learned: the past is the past. Having beaten sydney by 112 means nothing in the present. And even more: one single match is not enough for evaluating odds, especially one that was unusual for both port and sydney. Now I believe you have 75%+ chances of exiting in straight sets. I can't see port beating neither the bulldogs nor the hawks.
We must be positive. This year it feels different because it is. We aren't burnt out and despite losing Dan and Kane I believe we have enough depth to make up for them. We must play Marshall. He will come in for Kane's absence and do a Westhoff type role as well. His foot skills are like Dan Houston's. . Can you do a review after the game?
This strategy could work IF Marshall brings ferocious defensive energy, his field kicking is elite but it feels like an opponent could exploit his low agility
No chance, Ive said that Marshall should play the Westhoff role, but you dont try it in a final. Next year, they definitely should oush him uo the ground
Good thoughts re Marshall. I do like him in the team. His best is very very good. Just not sure of his abilities as a defender. Could he play as a rotational wing perhaps alternating with Jase Burgoyne and/or Travis Boak? I think he plays well up the ground and is perhaps better at field kicking than as marking forward. Having said that, another possibility is to put Byrne-Jones down back and bring Marshall back alongside Dixon, Georgiadis and Ratugolea? It will be very interesting to see how they pick the team this week. :)
The simple equation is just win every finals game from now on out. The path towards our second flag is there for the taking. Just have to take the opportunity. The players have to put their bodies on the line in everything defensively and offensively.
Geelong supporter here... hope Port simply maintain their form. If they do this, Port will win. Cats would need a perfect, tough, skilled game right from the start. It would literally be a miracle if Geelong knocks off Port at home.
Charlie is done, boak as good as has been Father Time has caught him, back six are undersized, Rioli did not look fit ( carrying weight), Bergman HF and Georgiades were the only ones to come to play. It’s about now that the club gives Kennie a two year contract extension lol
The reasons Port will win this game are the same as we lost last year. Fit players v un-fit last year and the intensity with which we play, the desperation to go to the next gear now. The players are there to go all the way. What has happened in the past can only go top serve us well this year. There is not a single player that did not feel and would not be carrying that feeling in the back of there mind, that alone will see them throw everything at this game. If we don't win, it will not be for the lake of effort. It would mean that Gelong are better than us this year and I just don't believe they are...
Hinkley better not be coaching next year or I'm gonna stop supporting this club seriously. Just about had a gutful of his crap!!!!! He needs to be shown the door and I've always thought he should have been sacked after the PF flogging by the dogs in 21. Burgoyne, Evans, narkle, jones, Dixon, McEntee all aren't good enough they should never play again. This club needs an external review seriously
Only thing with Esava is that against the cats at the cattery, he well and truly took care of Hawkins(Assuming Hes lining up for Geelong on Thursday). I think weve steeled ourselves mentally over the last 7 weeks or so. That should be the difference this year. The belief!!!!
@timothyjackson6191 Marshall hasn't played in 5 weeks And honestly he is 1 concussion away from retirement. Rest Marshall until next season. Williams is an option
This video is like watching people boarding the titanic , brutal

Well this aged like milk.
Love the intro, my tip is port by 15

@@Cobloaf69 yeah man, that’s a hell of a good tip. If we can beat Sydney by 112 points, we can beat everyone else about like a solid 40 points-ish.
@@YellowHornetsOffical 100%, couldn't agree more

@@Rene.A.D ive come back and we have accomplished nothing.
i liked visentini last game, hopefully he gets more game time next year, also agree with keeping marshall out
Visentini and Sweet as a combo is looking really good 👍
Watched your rev up vid about 8 times now, that was so good. Cmon da 🍐!
😂😂 this has aged well shit team cant play finals.
Lots being saying play rozee where he got traded from down back
He’s a first starting mid, no chance
There's always Byrne Jones as HB. he was an All Australian HB
Come on Power we can do it
cool new intro mate looks great

Cats by84 points goodbye port awesome chris scott
Hmm, only two days and this has not aged well. 🙁
I feel it’s ports year we can go all the way to premier ship, we got good players, Ken must play right players, let’s go power 💪🏆🏆
I feel that unless George or Dixon get injured then there’s no way Marshall makes it back into the team this finals series

Winner of this game goes all the way
Would be much more confident if we had Houston, Finlayson, and Farrell.
Whys their a question mark about McEntee?🤔
recorded this one with a mirror did we
Id bring D will in, not Sinn, everything stays the same

In Sinn Dixon Narkle (sub)
Out Farrell Visentini (unfortunately) MacNCheese
I'd like to see in D Williams,Dixon and Marshall and it's crucial for lockdown roles on Stengle,Close, Cameron and Dangerfield to claim victory

DBJ is an All-Australian defender. FFS play him back and everything else looks after itself.
DBJ is a typical overrated Port Adelaide plonker.
Independent observer, first time in 5 finals that I saw DBJ get a touch in the end, he had no impact again.
