Great podcast keep it up
CEOs cannot pay themselves.
Elon will not quit...He has his piggyback in Tesla. He needs Tesla...
Mumble more
People don't just use cars for pre planed point to point trips. They also don't want to ride in a car a thousand other people have been in. Cars can drive without a human but they can't clean and repair themselves without a human.
I suspect Tesla is very aware owners might not be all in on sharing their personal EVs as taxis which could be behind the push for robo-taxis based on the new vehicle platform. This also would be the reason behind putting the consumer version of the $25k EV on the backburner. It does however, means Tesla, and Elon being extremely bullish about FSD. 8/8 will let the world know if they are betting correctly.
29:10 “It’s gonna be a weird few months… “ truer words were never said! We will all see, perhaps by 8/8, how Elon and Tesla’s huge bet plays out!😮
At the heart of all discussions is the development of functional Full Self-Driving (FSD). Without this crucial component, a Robo-Taxi system is unattainable. Therefore, Elon Musk has likely chosen to dedicate his entire focus on FSD. However, some argue that proceeding without the backing of his development teams is imprudent. Musk is known for his tendency to diverge on certain technical issues where he believes his knowledge surpasses that of others. His decision to rely solely on vision, against the counsel of his engineers, serves as an example.
Musk has been making ambitious promises about FSD for a considerable period now. While he may have personal reasons for making this decision, it may not be entirely reasonable or logical given the significance of the matter. Prioritizing personal sentiments over what’s best for Tesla poses a substantial risk.
Zaphod Beeblebrox was the two headed president of the galaxy in hitchhikers guide. Dump Elon’s pay package. He obviously doesn’t deserve it.
Sounds like Tesla Powershare on Cybertruck which may have been vaporware, lost its development under the firings. So someone needs to ask engineering when will Cybertrucks actually have V2H?
Maybe an obvious explanation for Drew leaving is that he and Elon had a fight over the hyper risky choice of betting everything on likely-to-fail robo taxi. Rational engineer would tell Elon to his face you're being irrational and refusing to face reality. That would obviously trigger Elon into firing mode, as is his reputation for not tolerating people who tell him no or question his reasoning.
In the short term I think TSLA stock will continue to drop because it's in Elon's best interest to keep it dropping. His goal is to own 25% of Tesla and it will be cheaper for Tesla to give him call options at a lower strike price than a higher one. Once he has the options he will start pumping the stock price again.
Elon screwed the pooch!
Pigeon CEO .....
🤡 show … they don’t even know Hitchhikers ?!?
Robo Taxi needs fly by wire and 3 demensions = 2030.
Elon still forcing his captive board to revisit his bs pay package without change, in light of Tesla's real serious problems being obvious to everyone, if peak clueless arrogant out of touch paper billionaire. I hope he walks away and takes his ball like the child he is. Tesla would benefit greatly with new leadership and without his dumb non-automotive distractions.
fred: "morally speaking elon wouldn't leave tesla"
also fred: I don't have morals, so I don't need to vote yes for the deal that I agreed🤮
