Just as a side note with UEFN monetization, eventually the bar would be set to having an actual item shop inside your islands that is epics stuff but is items that are super relative to your island or art style, and you would earn revenue based on those sales. They aren't saying that, yet. But that is a logical end.

Tim is akin to a modern-day fusion of Steve Jobs 2.0 and the Elon Musk of the video game realm, a stellar innovator and pioneer within the Unreal Engine landscape, not to mention a highly skilled programmer. It would be a shame for him to resort to layoffs, given his substantial financial resources and diverse revenue streams. In an ideal scenario, one might wish for him to reconsider and perhaps even rehire those who were let go, fostering a work environment that thrives on both innovation and compassion.
