    Hi Laura, I hope life is calming down a bit for you!!! The tip about keeping the cane round when reducing is really helpful. I find reducing triangles pretty challenging. Loved this as always. Thank you Laura

      Thank you so much for your wonderful comment and compliment, Miss Clare!! I have always detested trying to create a kaleidoscope cane and forming it into a triangular piece right away. This way is sooooo much simpler for me, and I hope you will find that to be the case too!! I am glad it is helpful. As to life....well, sort of. LOLOLOL!! I have a wedding I have to be engaged with and behind on getting videos made. But look for my segment on Monday, of Laura's Life. I think you will enjoy it. Sending you my biggest hugs as always!! :)

      @@laurajschiller You know Laura it's ok to not post videos if it all gets too much. Your real world is far more important. We'll all still be here when you get back if you decide to take a break at any time. I'm looking forward to Monday already......

    Very pretty. But I’m new. How do you make the canes to begin with? I would like to try this pattern.

      Thank you so much!! And welcome to my channel!! I hope you will find my videos most helpful. As to the canes you might want to start with, I suggest taking in my Playlist of "Basic & Simple Clay Canes" videos. This should be able to give you an idea of how to build up a basic cane and then you take canes like this and combine them together to get the kaleidoscope cane. When it comes to this exact kaleidoscope, I would say, you would need to use a purple & white bullseye cane with a checker wrapping. A spiral cane of silver and white, a turquoise & yellow skinner blend fanfolded cane and then placing each of these next to each other and then doing the kaleidoscope process. I do hope this helps some...Sending you my big big hugs!! :)

    Hello! Where did you start with the original canes? What is the name of the tutorial?

    • @laurajschiller
      @laurajschiller  2 года назад +1

      Hi Lynne- Yeah, if you go on my channel and check out my playlist of "Cane Tutorials" , they should all be there. The spiral was actually my first video. And then you have "The Book of Bullseyes" and finally the video/s on the Skinner Blend. Those should be the ones to refer to. I hope this helps, and if you have more questions please feel free to comment here. Sending my big hugs! :)

    I prefer to start out with a circle or a square to make my canes. I’ve done triangles but wasn’t that impressed

      I am sooooo with you Denise!! I have never understood the appeal of starting out with a gigantic triangular cane. They have always been hard to manage and just not as fun for me either. I hope you have a great day, lady...and sending you my big hugs! :)
