Seems leakage comes not always from the seals on the shaft. I bought the replacement kit and when I disassembled the pump I found that the pump housing close to the output port has a pinhole leak at a seam of the injection moulding part. Definitly a production or construction issue. Pump is 23 month old, I hope the dealer will handle this properly and newer parts are better because I really like this pump.
I also found a pinhole on the top side of the suction/inlet connection. That is definitely a moulding or laminating quality issue. So if you get the water leak from the front cover bottom grating, remove the front cover and connect the pump without it to be able to see where the leak is from.

Früher Grundfos 20 Jahre gehalten. Neue Grundfos mit Einbau 800€. Nach 2 Jahren defekt. Reparatur 600€. 1 Woche gelaufen. Jezt nur noch 1/4 Leistung wahrscheinlich ganz defekt jetzt. Auf Ersatzteile 1 Monat gewartet.

Również kupiłem Scala 2, moje doświadczenia: - w pierwszej spalił się silnik - w drugiej był wyciek o którym wsyscy piszą - w trzeciej padła elektronika trzy inne pompy, nie polecam, aktualnie kupiłem IBO, zobaczymy jak się spisze, ale kosztuje 1/3 ceny Scala 2.

Salut! Nous avons maintenant eu des nouvelles de nos spécialistes produits. Il peut y avoir deux raisons au problème que vous rencontrez : 1 : La raison typique est la condensation. Cela ne peut pas être éliminé, mais nous vous recommandons de installer la pompe dans un bac d'égouttage ou à proximité d'un siphon de sol. 2: Une autre raison peut être une fuite du joint d'arbre. Le joint d'arbre fuira pendant le période de rodage, mais cela devrait s'arrêter après trois heures de fonctionnement continu ou après opération pendant une semaine. Normalement, la fuite du joint d'arbre sera si faible que l'eau va s'évaporer. Si la fuite est supérieure à une goutte par minute, il y a un défaut dans le joint d'arbre (ou la pompe est toujours en cours de rodage). J'espère que cela pourra vous aider. This is only the easy part. If you are replacing seals, then there is a good chance they've leaked and bearings will need replacing. How about another video to show removal of rotor and bearings as well as dewatering the stator unit.

But grundfos should make it mandatory for the dealer to supply the customer with the new updated model scala 1. The day it leaks again and it's not under warranty I will DEFINITELY look for a differnt manufacturer. Look at how many views this video got. It's obviously a problem

@@grundfos Il rivenditore ha già sostiuito la prima l'anno scorso. L'ho ricontattato: non tratta più Grundfos proprio per i troppi problemi con questo modello. Gli altri 4 che mi avete segnalato idem. Il più vicino è a 100 km. Ma il problema è un altro: in presenza di un evidente problema di progettazione e materiali, Grundfos dovrebbe ritirare il prodotto e fornirne uno nuovo. Basta cercare su RUclips per trovare decine di casi con identico problema. Ma il posto giusto per parlarne non è questo. Ho scritto e telefonato ma non c'è stato verso di affrontare il problema.

@@grundfos Il rivenditore ha già sostiuito la prima l'anno scorso. L'ho ricontattato: non tratta più Grundfos proprio per i troppi problemi con questo modello. Gli altri 4 che mi avete segnalato idem. Il più vicino è a 100 km. Ma il problema è un altro: in presenza di un evidente problema di progettazione e materiali, Grundfos dovrebbe ritirare il prodotto e fornirne uno nuovo. Basta cercare su RUclips per trovare decine di casi con identico problema. Ma il posto giusto per parlarne non è questo. Ho scritto e telefonato ma non c'è stato verso di affrontare il problema.
