  • Breaking norms, am I too late?
Rules etched by hands unknown, debate.
From dawn's first light, we're in a race,
To daycare march, life's steady pace.
Timed meals, then to the loo we're sent,
Karate kicks, dance steps we bent,
A canvas dream, not ours but theirs,
Parents' lost hopes, in us, it wears.
"Look at the stage, my son's the star,"
Dancing to wishes, near and far.
Trained like pets, we play our part,
Schooling minds, but not the heart.
"Be on time!" they scream, it's never old,
But morning lights, red tales are told.
Green waves home, the day's release,
Yet loyalty's fear, will it ever cease?
    Eating scraps, for minimum wage,
Kitchen cries, the night's main stage.
Morning comes, to work we're bound,
    Yesterday's screams, now without sound.
Rules are written by those who stray,
    Crafted so you won't betray,
The lies they weave, the power they hold,
In this game of life, will truth be told?
