I bought one of these in the blackened version and couldn't imagine why they counted a protractor as one of the tools... until I found your video. I'm so glad that you did a closeup of the degree markings. I didn't know that they were even there. Even after watching your video I was convince that they had been omitted on the black versions or that mine was just defective and then I shown a bright light on it and there they were! They are so small!, but they are there and, once you memorize them on each side of the tool, you CAN do some decent angle measurements with it. So thanks for taking the time to produce this content. I agree that the can opener is a fail, as issued, but that's because the damned thing doesn't even have a sharp edge. Have used enough SAK openers to know that this one was shaped right but just doesn't have the edge that a SAK one does. Use a file and stone to put even a crude edge on it and it will work fine. Please tell me about the pouch that you're using. I have sourced the bits and bit holder, but not the pouch. It will be a perfect addition to my Wazoo Cache Belt.
Finally, I paid again for the Fremake application to produce my videos! This application is very powerful and I particularly appreciate the possibility of cutting sequences on several files and pasting them.
I've watched maybe 50 video reviews of multi-tools the last couple of days, a heap of which on the SOG PowerPint, and this is probably the best. All reviews talk through what they like and dislike, and how they would use this multi-tool. This video in contrast, and to it's credit, show what it can do. I now know have a much better idea of what I'd get for my money. Great job!
I got one recently, I really like the size and tool configuration. I have re-ground the can opener and the scissors, and peened the scissors tighter (a bit too tight, actually, now they won't open via spring, but cut strongly and precisely, and for smaller repeated cutting tasks, I have a Swisscard or Vic Classic on me anyway). Now, I am quite happy with it. Still, what I would really like to see is Victorinox making a tool in this size, basically a Spririt XS... one can dream.
Excellent review! I'm waiting for mine to arrive today, Where did that boker plus sheath come from? If that had a couple of elastic loops on the sides it would perfect!
Zelle, this is a very capable tool for its size, plus it has scissors and a pocket clip.. But it can bite you at times when folding the tool.. A good comparison would be the SOG PP against the Leatherman Squirt, or one of the models from the Juice series.. Although i like the pocket clip, if given a choice, I would go with the now or soon to be discontinued Leatherman Juice S2, the personification of the most perfect tool.
I agree. The Juice S2 is very nice, and it has been super handy through the years. As another plus, I bartend, and the one hand opening bottle opener, has proven very useful for me. I thought I lost it and was looking for a replacement. I really couldn’t find anything I liked as much. Luckily, I found it. But, I know it won’t last forever.
That is an amazing collection of multitools my friend! I'm a knife collector but do have a handful of multitools. I got the PowerPint recently and overall am happy with it. My wave+ and surge are just too large and heavy for edc, and Gerber dime, although I love the package opener, is only useful for light duty tasks. The PowerPint falls into a nice space. The most glaring problem with it is the lack of a slotted driver. How could they have made the decision to omit such a basic tool?
this is constantly shown out of stock in most places including the SOG website. Its either retired or, back to the manufacturers for improvement (scissors/can opener/file)

Possible en appuyant fortement sur les manches pour bien bloquer l'embout mais je ne conseille pas du tout. Cher Dee, j'ai trouvé des embouts standard 1/4" avec bille : ruclips.net/video/gfd47p9McEw/видео.html (see at 3'40") mais je ne vois pas où les acheter. Possible by pressing strongly on the handles to properly block the bit but I do not recommend at all. Dear Dee, I found standard 1/4" bits with ball: ruclips.net/video/gfd47p9McEw/видео.html (see at 3'40") but I do not see where to buy them.
SOG does provide a sheath for powerpint that you can order separately. But I think yours is better because the SOG sheath is just right for the tool itself and no room for the bits that I want to carry. I had to cut a plastic bit holder to only two holes so that I can insert it with 2 bits inside the small latch on the cover of the SOG sheath.
Elle semble etre vraiment la taille ideale en EDC bien moins lourde et encombrante que les classiques wave ou spirit. on lui ajoute des kits d embouts comme tu presente dans la housse c est impecable. Belle demonstration
I’ve arrived at the point of looking at multi tool reviews and demonstrations as a knife enthusiast who received a Scout knife as a gift, transition from that to a Victorinox Fieldmaster, and finally found myself wishing I had a pair of pliers. Right now all of my research has been done online. I haven’t been able to get anything in hand and actually try it out. But from what I’ve seen I have it narrowed down to one of two possibilities: either the PowerPint or the Leatherman Style PS. I like the Style PS, because it has minimal tools, and I already have everything I need (I think) on my Vic. However, I like the PowerPint for the compound leverage joint, and something tells me I may start wanting a bit kit to go with the bit adapter. We’ll see. But purely from a standpoint of pliers and wire cutters alone, ignoring all other tools, which of those two would you recommend?
The juice would be the superior tool on this case but leatherman discontinued it. However, leatherman and gerber do make smaller tools and if you are carrying a swiss army knife already, look at the knipex cobra xs
Hi, could you give us the total dimensions like how wide and how thick it is as well? I'm interested in the idea of replacing some parts with some parts of my victorinox and maybe even leatherman knives. I really like the size and specially the relatively large full geared pliers. Thanks for all those videos! ... Maybe even how thick the single parts are if it's not too much to ask
Closed length: 82.8 mm Max thickness without pocket clip: 17.1 mm Max thickness with pocket clip: 17.8 mm Max width: 26.5 mm Max thickness of the knife: 1.9 mm Awl thickness: 1.8 mm Max thickness of the small flat screwdriver: 2 mm Hook thickness: 1.8 mm File thickness: 1.8 mm Max thickness of the scissors: 2.6 mm Bottle opener thickness: 1.5 mm Max thickness of the cruciform: 2.7 mm Can opener thickness: 1.8 mm Max thickness of serrated knife: 1.8 mm
I've had mine for maybe a year now. I got the black one. More or less right away, I removed the serrated blade (and a couple brass spacers), replacing it with a couple of modified jigsaw blades so I have light-duty wood and metal saws on it, one of which has the end ground down to a scaper. I also ground down the end of the file to a medium-large flathead screwdriver, sharpened the can opener and ground the end to a sharp pointy scriber/pick/pokey thing, ground the end of the bottle opener into a smallish flathead screwdriver, sharpened the hook cutter and ground the edge down to a mini scraper. I also removed the keychain/lanyard thing and replaced it with a piece of flat metal I shaped to act as a sim card opener or button pusher for many electronic devices where the reset button is recessed into a tiny hole where you need a paperclip or something. I also put a small magnet at the base of it so it stays closed in my pocket. I have used the pliers and the knife quite a bit, and have had many occasions to use all three the screwdrivers. I have used the scissors, pick, scrapers and even the bottle opener on occasion. I work in IT, so I have used the button pusher thing a bunch of times. I do use the scissors once in a while, and the hook cutter is decent for some things. I don't use it for anything heavy duty, so it doesn't get a whole lot of abuse, I try to use the awl blade instead of the knife if I can, but the knife blade is so much easier to get to. I have sharpened the knife once already and will probably do so again here pretty quick. I am not a collector, and this is the only thing that I carry with me every day. This multitool replaced a regular pocket knife I used to carry because I kept severely dulling the blade, using it as a multipurpose tool. Now my knife blade stays nice and sharp, and I am not carrying some bulky, heavy-duty multitool. I hate wearing a belt or any external sheath thing, so it stays clipped inside of my pocket. I don't even notice it when I am wearing something like sweatpants.
You're getting destructive lately.l personally like the Leatherman Charge+ much more than the SOG PowerPint. Not to be confused with the bloated over priced tti.

Dude, this is hands down one of the best RUclips ‘reviews’ I’ve ever seen. No words needed. All in the actions and demos! Nice one.
agreed
I found the SOG sheath (small model) on Aliexpress.
Finally, I paid again for the Fremake application to produce my videos! This application is very powerful and I particularly appreciate the possibility of cutting sequences on several files and pasting them.
Yes!and Yes!
Great job!
Merci :)
My birthday was yesterday and I was just thinking I should get the powerpint as a treat for myself.
Good timing!
16:23 This tool is for cutting tensioned belts!
It’s a nice little SOG and light in the pocket!
Super vidéo ! Le POWERLITRE est pas mal non plus ;-) toujours heureux de voir tes vidéos de qualité et le bon esprit dont tu fais preuve!
Excellent review! I'm waiting for mine to arrive today,
Where did that boker plus sheath come from? If that had a couple of elastic loops on the sides it would perfect!
www.boker.de/en/pocket-knives/accessories?p=1

Leatherman Wave plus or Surge to keep in a laptop bag?
hello :) great video, where did you get the set of bits ?
diy store, aliexpress, amazon, everywhere ...
Good video. Thank you. Would you make a video with a comparison with Skeletool?
Diegel mon ami do the Leatherman bits fit the PowerPint hex bit driver? Thanks, Dee.
I don't see the sheath you're talking about on the SOG site: could you be more specific?
Could you tell us specifically who makes that bit kit, where to get it? Thank you.
This bit kit is from the recovery of elements accompanying most Chinese multi-tools ... You can also find it on Amazon by searching for "bit kit" ...
Thanks👍. Ok, the scissors seems not to be the best. But what woulld you prefer? The SOG or the Roxon M2 Mini?
ROXON M2.
@@diezelle57 Thanks for help. I think, the Roxon will be my choice
Where did you get that particular bit set?
Diy stores ...
Excelent! Nice review👌
How would you say the file was to use? Passable?
Not aggressive (not enough), passable.
Aside from the scissors I'm happy with mine makes it easy to have a mt in my sweatpants.
Than you.
SOG PowerPint vs LEATHERMAN Style PS pliers ? SOG.
Thanks, man!
The juice would be the superior tool on this case but leatherman discontinued it. However, leatherman and gerber do make smaller tools and if you are carrying a swiss army knife already, look at the knipex cobra xs
Amazing video man! What camera / setup do you have?
where did u get that bit holder sir??
Where can I get a pair of those bits great review .
supermarket ... everywhere ... Aliexpress ...
J'ai fait de récentes vidéos sur cet outil et je vous invite à les regarder :)
any alternative with that size and good scissors?
Non ...
You have a link where I can get this but extension?
Anywhere, Amazon .... .... ......
Wonderful
Hi, could you give us the total dimensions like how wide and how thick it is as well?
I'm interested in the idea of replacing some parts with some parts of my victorinox and maybe even leatherman knives.
I really like the size and specially the relatively large full geared pliers.
Thanks for all those videos!
... Maybe even how thick the single parts are if it's not too much to ask
Closed length: 82.8 mm
Max thickness without pocket clip: 17.1 mm
Max thickness with pocket clip: 17.8 mm
Max width: 26.5 mm
Max thickness of the knife: 1.9 mm
Awl thickness: 1.8 mm
Max thickness of the small flat screwdriver: 2 mm
Hook thickness: 1.8 mm
File thickness: 1.8 mm
Max thickness of the scissors: 2.6 mm
Bottle opener thickness: 1.5 mm
Max thickness of the cruciform: 2.7 mm
Can opener thickness: 1.8 mm
Max thickness of serrated knife: 1.8 mm
@@diezelle57 thank you so much for all this specifications!
I really appreciate it:)
Genial 👍🏻
Hi, made in China?
Oui.
Сталь прочная ?

Just gonna leave a comment to circle back here later. Interested in the opinion of people who own this MT and how it holds up over time.
I've heard from alot of people that it's not that good, but I still want it. It's the perfect size for just carrying around.
Well done…thank you!
Quasi, quasi lo compro un multitool della SoG mi sono sempre piaciuti in effetti...🤔
This would be much better if they were to refine or replace some of the more disappointing tools here..
There's no way I'm going to watch 24 minutes of this. It's at 2:40 and I'm out.

You're getting destructive lately.l personally like the Leatherman Charge+ much more than the SOG PowerPint. Not to be confused with the bloated over priced tti.
The pliers break and they don't have replacement
