He seemed like an A-hole
Makes for an interesting documentary but not one to invite round for dinner. 😂
I agree with you whole hardily. He was a JERK!
He’s still better than Peter (File) Townshend.
@@Dan_Ben_Michael So I’m guessing you don’t buy his excuse of “research.”
Keith Moon was definitely one of a kind, they threw away the mold after he was born. I always enjoy video like this, great job.
I think he smashed the mould himself 😂
He was rock ‘n’ roll’s most wild character, but definitely not the most dangerous. That title would have to go to Phil Spector
Roger said he thought Keith had a attention deficit disorder
Common among drummers, John Lennon had it , would electrocute himself just for the buzz, combined with alcohol made him leap from moving cars.

This was my first thought aswell.
As well as high functioning autism as well also was bipolar
Alcohol aged him and he looked 20 years older when he died.
His wife ran away after he broke her nose a second time while drunk- she was scared he would get drunk and break her nose again. No mention of that secret huh?
He broke her nose twice- how is moon any better than gary glitter huh?
Not quite the court jester in the Kids Are Alright, was he?
@alexanderpowell1528 So in your mind, physically abusing your wife and sexually abusing children are moral equivalents, with neither one being worse than the other?
@@JamesThompson-zk1ht You are welcome to argue as to how one is worse than the other. It doesn't really interest me though.
Guy must have had the press in his pocket to keep so much hidden.
I think maybe he was bipolar
ADHD like all the best drummers.
Drug and alcohol abuse does long term damage to the brain, which will affect behavior.
He had Quadrophenia.
@@watchersmith806he was like that as a child.long before the drugs and booze.he had all the classic signs of bipolar/manic!
ADHD does not involve behavior like Moon's. It may have been there, but I don't see how any of us (strangers, not even living in the same time and place, and probably not psychiatrists) could possibly be able to tell that.
ANIMAL!
Not impressed. What a jerk.
I'm sure his antics got pretty annoying after a while!
Not sure he could help it without therapy, and especially, without commitment to changing. And then...the question would be: was he able to change?
@@annepoitrineau5650 sadly, Moon was the price The Who owed
@@user-fu2mi1nd5l you are probably right.
Wow... This story makes Keith Moon seem like a bit of an a$$.
A big one!!!
Greatest performance artist ever.
He was scum, an absolute trash bag.
Was his life really full? Based on my experience working with drug addicts, taking drugs is actually self-medication for trauma. Also, taking drugs=a lot of time when you have passed out and have no memories of whole swathes of your life.
So, I always saw Keith Moon as a deeply unhappy and disturbed person. Sadly, these unhappy destructive people also spread unhappiness to their nearest and dearest. I am not judging him. Maybe that was his unconscious pact with the devil: be a one of a kind drummer, and repay in tragedy and destruction.
Maybe a conscious pact with the devil..
@@eileenbrazil8039 Who knows...
I agree with that. Even as young fan in the mud seventies.....I knew he was a wild boy and out of hand.
The saddest part is to question....what Keith Moon could have and would have done if he ever got straight?😢 36 is too young to pass.
Addiction will kill rape and destroy.
Blessings and prayers to all that are battling this war!
6 years clean❤
@@thegreatSnowMcCall Warmest wishes and good vibes to you XX
I questioned that statement as well.
The tranquilizers he took were horse tranquilizers
Instead of taking a 1/4 of one he a handful
U mix him with dexys and grog u get mayhem lol
I love music and THE WHO is one of my favorite bands . Moon’s drumming is outstanding on all their studio albums including live performances captured on bootlegs and official releases . Other than that he appears to have been a real pain in the ass.
A legend ❤
I don't know if you have covered the lives of any of the other band members but you have definitely covered the most colourful one! I have never been a Who fan but I came across a book about Keith Moon's antics, written by his friend and band's roadie. Well worth reading, if only I could remember the title!😂
It's called Moon the loon by Dougal Butler. I believe the US title is Full Moon. Hope that helps.
Oh this was soooooooo great! This is first video i watched....and its extremely impressive❤
Keith Moon was freaking amazing! Probably one of the greatest drimmers WHO hit the scene. This short expose was delicious. Thank You.
The Who is still relevant today. Their music is so powerful and timeless.
All the artist in the group....it was a colusion of greatness entagled in fate!
❤
RAEL from Sell Out as an example....Comin true
Sorry, back then, the legal age for ANY alcohol in the state of Michigan, was 18 until the early 80’s.
Our children need this education before they choose a job ,career or path and start paying their life long taxes. Know the real Ireland they are stepping into for life.
I don't think the drinking age was 21 until the 1980s
He was a bit of an asshole him and Entwistle would trash the rooms but Entwistle would let Moon take all the credit and grow his legend Townsend liked the extra publicity Moon brought so they kept him even though he wasnt the greatest drummer, nobody ever pulled any pranks on Daltrey because he has a nasty temper and was quite hard
AI
Drinking age in America did not change to 21 until 1984 so he didn't have fake his age to drink
Not exactly. Some states had under 21 low beer and high beer and wine liquor, 21 and over, but in Michigan, it was legal at 18 to drink whatever alcohol content, Ohio, no. By 1984, all states were 21 and over due to federal funding for roadwork. It would be with held if states didn’t comply.
The original Kanye.
He was a creative and unique drummer but pretty much someone I would stay far away from.
Went off the rails when his chauffeur killed someone
No. Keith Moon was drunk, got behind the wheel to move his car and HE is the one who accidentally hit his bodyguard and killed him.
Drum solos are boring.
Tragic . Spoiled rich kid .
Keith Moon was a waste of air.
He was an attention seekers without equal
He didn't leave too soon; he didn't leave soon enough.
You internet trolls are a waste of air and space!
@@dandelionmama7321wish you internet trolls would leave the same way!
@@juliebryne2903 😂🧌
I see so many comments bagging out Moon the Loon, but say what you will about Keith, at least he’s not Pete “I’m “researching” PDF File material” Townshend.
So Moon wanted people to believe he was "wracked with guilt" over murdering his body guard, yet he was such a wasted piece of cosmic spittle that he would not clean up his act so he would not do it again. Only a really little worthless waste of space would do that. A shame the Who did not really look for a better drummer so they could stop inflicting Moon on society. I remember growing up and reading all about his "antics" not cute, not great, just stupid. Glad he is gone.
