    I loved this video! Thank you! A tip: instead of measuring the whole way around the opening for the band, you can also just measure from the center point on the back of the neck to the bottom and multiply that number by two (and then add your extra to that number). This might be easier than trying to wrangle the measuring tape the whole way around, and having to keep track of where the tape ended and starting again.

    Hi, I need a bit more explanation about the band. Am I sewing it closer to the neckline? Does that mean the end of the band that is not sewn flaps up?
    Thanks!

    • @TokiDeeKay
      @TokiDeeKay 7 месяцев назад +2

      Her kimono is so long that she couldn’t cut the band in one cut so she has two pieces. Take those two pieces and sew them together. Put the seam of that now long piece at the center of the neckline. Sew down one side and then the other. When you hem the bottom of the kimono, you will take care of the ends of the band then.

      She divided her hip measurement by 4 and added 2 inches for seam allowance. (Or the widest part of your mid-section of your body) I hope this helps. Enjoy your week, sweetie.
