I so agree with everything you are saying and teaching. I am prepped because I read the writing on the wall some long time since. I am not a horder and wish to make that distinction. Wheelie bins, flower pots blown everywhere here but power still on. Glad that I haven't needed to use any of my emergency preps, so it's all good until a different type of storm comes.
@mmwaashumslowww7167 my large but empty plastic greenhouse has blown over, but other than that, absolutely nothing. No significantly obvious signs that a storm passed through. Hope not of your stuff is permanently damaged brother. 👊💜👊🌱
Imagine being offered a job by a like minded soul, you move to another country for said job, set up a home only to then have that job taken away from you. That's the situation Funky were put in,...if he'd have stayed down South, he may have slightly more chance of finding employment than in Wales. I totally agree that trying to survive off this platform is not a good idea, for many reasons actually but if you have a family and are left with little choice, I can see why some take it.
@@steveclark.. always have a plan b, c and even a d. We all make mistakes. His choices has landed himself in his current situation. The last 5 years have been a proper wake up call for many people, especially the prepping community. We have to be smarter than the average sleepy people. We have to plan ahead using logic and common sense. Two standard aspects of prepping , the absolute basics. He made some bad choices and now he's paying the price for those choices. It's unlikely that he will make the same mistakes again. He'll put way more thought and logical planning moving forward now. He has skills and knowledge that could supplement his income. We have to keep thinking outside the box. Not putting all of your eggs in a rotten basket, is a start. I genuinely wish him the best of luck. When life goes sideways, we learn from it. Then gain wisdom and strength from it. Everyone should have a contingency plan.

Have you ever heard of The Woodlander Initiative? It's the beginning of a community similar to what you are talking about. I joined at the start, I think it will be of interest to you. There are others too, I believe.

I was not aware of the hope not hate article, so I just read it. It is so insulting, it really doesn't suprise me that they linked TWI with racist, facist, far right rhetoric BS because it is anti-establishment. They will attack anybody or anything that will not comply with the dreadful system that they're implementing. Hopefully, people won't be put off before they even look into it. The Woodlander also has a RUclips channel for anyone interested in the other side of the debate. Rant over 😬
