@@YouGotTheL No, it isn't a fact, it's literally an opinion. You saying that it's "broken" is an opinion. Like I said, I still play it and it's not like, "broken" or anything. So, yes, in the end, it is literally your opinion to pretty much say that it's broken. It's your decision to think that the game is but to me, it's not. To you, it's broken, but to me, it's not. See the difference?
You forgot to mention the New Yorkers yelling at you, from their windows, when discussing immersion - I absolutely love that aspect of the game! I also miss all the friendly NPCs wandering the streets and assisting them. If Division 2 is supposed to take place 7 months after Division one, and during a more hopeful rebuilding stage, where are all the NPCs??? This is another reason why Division 2 is less immersive than Division 1 IMO.
It's also the fact that Division 2 was just more... "Open", the streets were wider, there are parks, landmarks, grassland scattered everywhere. It just didn't feel like a dead world. ESPECIALLY with all the enemies every 5 feet. Meanwhile Division 1 was so much darker, claustrophobic, with burning vhecials are the only source of light at night, enemies were much more farther away as they too were searching for food and gear. Division 2 took away all the atmosphere and had well established, well funded, well geared, and well supplied armies at war with each other and you. Meanwhile Division one was everyone scattered randomly, trying to get anything and everything they can, and you trying to fight to get to the supplies before the enemies did. It doesn't matter if the world "Looks" Destroyed, in Division 2, if the tone, actions, and story paints the picture that it's no longer the end of the world and everything is now normal. A different normal than irl, but still a 'Normal'. Division 1 just had so much better.... ability to make you feel isolated, alone, having to scavenge for supplies, and fight off other groups who also wanted those supplies. It felt like the end of the world. It felt like a realistic Fallout setting. That the world was dead, there was no winners, only small tiny groups of survivers. Then you get to Division 2, and.... The world didn't end. There are millions of people, there are thriving towns, people are safe, happy, having fun and joy. There is no survival, no crisis, no end of the world. Not even rebuilding, they already rebuilt everything, you just help get minor things. You don't even help them build the towns, the towns already exist, well fortified, and well defended and well populated. Your main goal in Division 2, is just to fight the big bad factions coming in to enslave or kill people. Division 1, any person who wasn't shooting you on sight was a godsend and rare. Towns didn't exist, just surviver groups, going from supply to supply. There was no hope, no survival, no peace. There is just so much Division 2 does wrong. I knew right from the Demo, long before it released, that it had failed. The demo had you bright lighted in the sun, happy glorious beauty, in an open grassy field, fighting for a downed plane with combat barriers that could only exist just for combat only. Unlike Division 1, again, where everything used for 'Cover', was purposefully disguised as being 100% natural and realistic. No combat barriers, it was destroyed cars, broken ruble, news stands and mail boxes. Division 2 was always set to be the inferior product right from the start. Should have kept building up Division 1, or have it in the same kinda setting and feel, but a different city.
Division 1: - atmosphere - map - story - best game modes - good grind - best dark zone - best abilities & character upgrades - best looking menu UI - best base and upgrades Division 2: - updated gameplay - best gunplay & builds - more variety
the divi 1 snow setting is just insane and its making me want to comeback, just how it looks is so sick.. divi 2 setting is just a huge disappointment for me.. so i didnt even try to really play to div2 ,i played around 250hrs in div1 and 14hrs and div2
It's really funny because although TD1 takes place dead in the middle of a cold winter, the game always made me feel so warm playing it... That atmosphere was just so unreal. I feel like they really dropped the ball with immersion in TD2. When they added the NY back into the game it felt like a huge copout to try and pull people back to what was familiar. I wish they just stuck to their old model.
Including all dlc's and the darkzone div1 feels much more immersive because it puts you in different situations like survival or last stand on the actual map so you explore the city in a different way like in survival or fight thru the streets of dz in LS what makes the game itself deeper to me and tells more backstory of whats going on in the game while div2 ads more and more places/missions which didnt really vibe with the immersion of div2 bc it feels to seperate. Still the pve in div2 is better but as a whole package div1 did the job way better imho
@@FamYT interesting. i agree with u and consider u should give survival a try its so good i love it . LS idk because of all the lagswitchers theese days but back in 2018/19 i played it a lot it was a blast
Love the Divison 1!! It felt so alive at launch with how many players you could encounter in the dark zone and matchmake with. The DLCs are a lot o fun too. Awesome game!
I'm watching this video to see if it's worth my time to buy the first game since it's on sale at epic games. I've already played both on console and dove back into D1 for a few minutes because I never played beyond the ending. I was very lost and had no clue what to do so I just repeated a story mission with my exotic gear I had from the beginning but couldn't use until I hit level 30. I have yet to try the end game content for D2. For atmosphere, I personally think D2 is better, not because of weather or npc interaction, but because I always enjoyed going to D.C. to look at the National Mall. And for the ending to happen at capitol hill was icing on the cake for me. Never played the dark zone on D1 because I don't want to spend the money on a subscription to play online, but I have played the dark zone on D2 because I have it on pc. One thing that's a love hate for me with the smaller dark zones is the increase in risk/reward. Smaller areas mean more risk, but when you extract successfully, the reward factor is amazing, especially when under heavy fire and bail once the extraction is finished because you're about to die. But really the biggest thing for me I think D2 did better is the menus and U.I. Going fro D1 to D2 was a breath of fresh air because the menus and U.I. were so much easier to understand in D2. And it was easier to make certain builds in D2. Something else that I liked better was actual pictures for the gear rather than silhouettes. I don't know why but looking at silhouettes when I dove back into D1 had me thinking, what am I looking at? I have no clue what I have. But one thing I really miss that D1 had that I wish D2 had was the ability to shoot weakspots. It's just very satisfying to watch a cleaner explode after shooting their gas bottle. There's hardly anything like that in D2
Division 1 was overall a better game, build diversity (looking at you ninja backpack), mobs were less bullet sponges than division 2 and as covered replayable endgame was just better. Also one concept that didn't follow was the aggro system with gun attachments which was a great way to deal with tank builds.
I love div 1 and all. The dark zone was better, the atmosphere was better, but honestly thats about where it stops. I jump back on it a lot to play pvp, but i have the best builds and there is no sense in grinding pve at this point. For div 2, the atmosphere and dark zone aren't as great. However, its year 5 and im still making new builds and trying new things. It has much more replay value imo. I have 35 days played on div 1, and 62 days played on div 2. I played both games since their release. That says something to me about which game i like more.
Weather div1, map design div1, game modes div1, side content ( like map completion ) div1, reparable content ( weather end game or early game ) div1, raids and missions div1, story ( easy to follow and gives depth and world and feels potent with weight ) div1, end game div2 ( if you like rng and hard grind for that min max div1, where division 2 is crafters dream about making the non max rather than grinding for it. ), PvP div2, dark zone div1 ( very different game modes that were done very diffidently in both games ), cosmetics div2 ( once more crafters grinder dream for loot ), builds div1 better builds though div2 more longer huge builds that are massive min max. ( underground destroys summit ) ( 4 player end game raids destroyed 8mans where 5 people quiet out and make the raid no longer playable and no one has enough dmg to finish the mission cause it’s forced min max ect ect ) ( survival no competition intense survival battle royal with a very very very good take on battleroyal! ) ( div2 wins end game grind with min max builds that are better, has dope cosmetics in weapons and gear. ) that’s honestly all it comes down to div1 is better, but division2 has the better end game and content reward for grind.
nice explanation. i'm new, i just played the division 2 last week which i bought 2019 (when discount). Now i'm level 9, so do you think, should i play the division 1? Both of these games remind me of borderlands series owkwkw , that's why im into it.
This was a good comparison. I've always felt like they forgot about what they did in division 1. It's like they took everything that worked so well about it and just said nope. Good video man. Thinking about jumping back into division 1 but since I'm on PC now it's like dam that's a lot of grinding.
There s an xbox deal right now with the division 1 gold edition for 13 euros. Is it worth it ? I own the division 2 ultimate edition and I enjoy it so far
I don't really agree with the whole 2 two feels more realistic and tactical, the only reason your be more "tactical" is because all enemies even ones with zero armor are all just bullets sponges because of the level system they did, enemies can chew through your health almost instantly just because you arnt getting enough loot and gear, don't get me wrong I like it more then being able to run into a crowd and going rambo on them but isn't realistic, the leveling system just made it forced "tactic"
Been grinding div 2 the past week because I missed it so much and got my watch level from 250 to 380 in like 4 days… but I just reinstalled div 1 because I miss my sticky bomb and my house smg 🤣🤣🤣
