Routines - something that can look so simple and easy on paper, but why can they be so hard to put into daily practice? I know I've struggled for years cultivating a balanced, sustainable routine that includes some healthy habits! However, this year in particular, I have finally been able to find a rhythm & routine that I enjoy, that I am excited about and that I've been able to stick with (which it huge for me!). Working from home in particular can be tricky with trying to stay focused and get work done while on the flip side also working too much and have way long hours! I've really wanted to incorporate balance in my life, keep things simple, and just enjoy the day to day! I hope this little daily week day routine video is inspiring in someway! And know if you too struggle with finding a routine you love, keep exploring and trying new things! I know you will find a rhythm you love and keeps you inspired! I’m staying at my mum’s at the moment and her sweet little dog watched this whole video very intently with me. 🫠 Whenever Cedar was on screen she would tilt her head and boop the screen with her nose. 😭💞 So, pupper kisses from Bella to Cedar! 😘

Thanks for sharing, Randi and Cedar. Trying to figure out my best routine for where I'm at now in life. Loving clean, green, quiet, simple, solo, self-paced and self-employed WFH. Breathwork, chakra Reiki and yoga every morning get me balanced and flexible. I also discovered bulk buying may be a bit of work upfront, but pays huge dividends the rest of the year in time, money, work and peace. My wind-down before bed is the old Brit-com "Are You Being Served?" It's become a mental cue, so I have to be careful not to watch it otherwise. lol Have a great week! 💖

I have struggled though and have really tried to get outside more as yes, it does wonders for mental health!! So worth trying to make time for it ☀️ And yes, cedar is also a huge inspiration for getting me out too! He just gets SO excited for walks, its the cutest thing.

Randi your video was so very inspiring to me as I need motivation to exercise and find new ways of reaching goals for living a healthier lifestyle. I am a big one for fast walking but need to get more into a routine of trying an exercise video for low impact exercising as that will be perfect for me. The Daily Pep sounds like a fun thing to do. Just a lot of great ideas. Your meals looked healthy and delicious. I love the convenience of having a yummy sauce to put in veggies and noodles. That one looked especially delicious. You will have to let me know the name of it as it looks like something I could get at Trader Joes. I was touched also by seeing something on your desk that made me smile. I always like to do body combat when it comes to sports and I've had a period when I liked pilates but now I do cardio, body combat, yoga and body strenght all combined for a week. And I didn't give up from November 🥰 It is very nice when you find what you love and have a good instructor it's also important. 🤗

It is great that you found a workout style and routine that works for you!! A lot of people struggle with that. Your dog is so sweet. Yay for motivational cute clothes to wear too. I like how you wrap things up from your shop. What adorable birds in the video too. Do I spay a Last Unicorn art piece you did?? It looks lovely. I took a look at your website. It would be awesome if you could do larger stationary pads to use for writing to penpals (I sometimes write very long letters to my penpals and receive long letters in return, so it is good to have so much loose paper to buy and I just think your art would be great for stationary like that). Anyway, loved the video!! Keep working hard.

I try to read or color before bed, but then I start falling asleep, so there goes that! Or when I finally sneak up to sit in bed with lights on, my husband decides he’s going to bed too, and then out go the lights and on goes the TV

I’d love to know your smoothie recipe! It looks really similar to one of my go-tos (yogurt, milk, protein powder, and frozen berries).
It's just plain greek yogurt, with 0% milk fat (super high protein), mixed frozen berries, and 2 scoops of a vanilla protein powder! So yum!!

I do have one question. (I commented earlier, so this is an extra comment.) I love the look of your book Bess of the Woods. It's so pretty on the shelf, and I always wonder about it when I see it. Is it any good? It could be a dreary book, but just beautiful amongst your other nature items I suppose. Anyway, my local library doesn't have it, and I was thinking about buying it , but don't want to waste money. Anyway, I am always so curious about this book on your shelf! :)
The one that I have is actually converted into a sketchbook, so I actually have never read the story! This small business 'rescues' falling apart old vintage books & recycles them into sketchbooks!
@@RandiLynnReed That is so funny! Well, I did look it up to find a used copy, and it's beautiful. I don't want to buy it unless the book is good, so you've inspired me to read it! I've got to find a paperback. My local libraries and the one at the university where I teach don't have one. The story's summary sounds good, but it's old, published in 1906. and sometimes the writing in less known older books can be a bit dry. Anyway, it sure makes for a beautiful sketchbook. Thanks!

Such an interesting video! :) So you work six hours a day - isn't that a part-time job?
I mean it does greatly vary, as it’s the complicated balance of my job being something I genuinely love do it because I love it so much, and it being my full-time job if that makes sense! I work from home all day and it could so easily turn into working 24/7 (which some days I do I confess) but I’m trying to learn the work/life balance so that I don’t burn out! Lots of things that pertain to my work bleed into both work and life. So, technically the 6 hours a day is part-time in hours but it is my full-time job! If that makes sense! It’s really hard to quantify it to actual hours. It’s all rough estimates!
