In 2008, you couldn't have paid me to watch soccer. Then, the 2008 Summer Olympics were televised and I always watch everything no matter what event. They televised all of the women's soccer matches and I watched every last one.

My eyes were on her right in front of where I was sitting when she sniffed out a bad pass, intercepted it, and almost immediately scored a goal against the Republic of Ireland. Her THIRD goal RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME in San Diego on January 26, 2016. All three of our goals at that point were hers. I know the lady well. This was Alex Morgan's 100th cap and she scored a goal although she was off sides. And Mallory Pugh substituted for her in her own first cap. And she scored in her first cap as well. From a stellar pass from Christin Press. Last match to see Hope Solo. Glad she was right in front of me the second half.

Dunn got lit up by wingers in the group stages. But really showed up later on, especially against France. Lavelle was all over the place, and is one of the MVP's along with Tobin, and Lindsey Horan.

Magnolia Rose goalkeepers are a different breed and usually don’t seek the limelight. The last line of defense with deep concentration and aware of where everyone is on the field. Unique position to watch the action and be ready for anything. I love being a goalie as I loved the challenge of keeping ball out and daring the other team to try score.

Mudig money comes from FIFA and the revenue it generates, in an ideal world it would be nice to pay both teams equally but in reality men’s soccer is faster and more physical, people want to watch the best of the best, that’s why the men’s team is payed more even when they aren’t as good relative to their competition.
I have loved watching the US Girls play Football in this World Cup, more than my fav team Germany in Men's World Cup last year. I am following these talented girls like crazy.

If you’re referring to cops killing black people for no reason.. then you’re misled or naive. After all the facts are on the table, 99% of all such cases are determined to be justified. Studies show in fact, that more white men are shot and killed by cops than black people and studies also show that cops are extremely hesitant of shooting minorities for fear of being labeled as a racist.. even if it puts theirs or others lives at risk.. and a lot of cops have ended up paying the ultimate price for it. I don’t want to hear the “he was unarmed” argument either. I have seen plenty of videos where cops first tried using tasers and pepper spray and they had little to no effect on the person they were trying to arrest and I have seen plenty of videos where because the cop was hesitant of using lethal force, it ended up in a fist fight and guess what the suspect was trying to grab.. the cops gun.. and sometimes they are successful at getting it. The few questionable instances are very far and few between.. when you stack those numbers against our actual population then you see it’s a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent.. and not at all an accurate representation of what the average black person or minority goes through in this country. It’s verifiable that most “hate crimes” in this country are fake too.. where the supposed victim(s) made up/fabricated the incident or grossly exaggerated it at the very least. Jesse Smollet being a prime example and he ultimately didn’t even get a slap on the wrist for it when what he did could have lead to riots and people dying.. no.. he used his juicy connections with Obama and his minions to get out of it. Would that have happened if this country was racist..!?! Nope, he would have had a real rope thrown around his neck. If you wanna talk about real acts of racism and people actually dying because of racism.. I could give you show chilling articles of things that have happened recently to white people.. simply because they’re white. You should also check out “verified hate” and get back to me with your findings and tell me which race is really being discriminated against. Let’s not forget Don Lemon too..

rovershut22 Fight for equal pay? I don’t know the laws of your country, but it’s been the law here in America for 50 years or so that women get equal pay for equal work.
In fact, if there is any argument to be had about equal pay, it’s the men’s team that should be fighting for equal pay. In the last mens World Cup, they only got 7% of the total pie they generated in revenue while the women will get to bring home 23% of their pie. Furthermore, the women get an annual salary from the federation while the men don’t. I see so many people spouting off about equal pay and they say that the men got $400M while the women only got $30M. Context is a wonderful thing, because they always fail to mention that the men’s share came from a total of $6B while the women’s share came from a total of $130M. The women are already making 3x more than the men on a percentage basis, plus the annual salary. The reason they don’t make as much at the end of the day is simple supply and demand economics. If there isn’t as much demand for women’s soccer, then they’re not going to make as much as the men.
Also, not even 2 years ago, the entire women’s team as individuals all signed a CBA that they negotiated for their pay. They have no one to blame but themselves for A, not asking for more (which they really can’t do without bankrupting the federation) and B, not drawing crowds like the men do. If people want them to make more money then they should watch them and spend money on them.
