I bought the black ovis crestone trekking poles, they're junk. The handle is foam colored to look like cork. The epoxy failed on the couplers and they literally fell apart. I had 2 sets because I ordered 2 on accident. And have had 1 pole from both sets break. Buy once cry once get the peax.
I got the Cascade Trekking Poles from Costco and their great and yes their perfect for being on a budget.
Absolutely love this topic, great presentation guys! 👏👏

Best budget poles are Paria outdoor
Z pole, cork handles, and carbon for $60
Do you have experience on these? I'm thinking of getting these based on your suggestion.
Can yall drop the links or names of the poles in order of favorability? Great information and good content 😊
Just get these www.peaxequipment.com/products/sissy-stix-backcountry-elite-cork you will thank us later😊
Why Peax Elite over Z's if you like the Z's?
We haven't had a chance get our hands on them yet. I am not sure on the peaks ones but some of the other z polls won't work in the peax teepee.
@@ELKSHAPEGEAR Is there a durability difference between z poles and non z poles?
Whats a z pole?
it collapses like a z rather than a telescope. they end up with a shorter profile so they are easier to store inside your pack.
