I’m so happy SOS is back! He is my favorite player of all time and I was heart broken when I found out he was leaving for the military and I heard that he had no plans to come back to sc2!
Even if I'm listening to this in the background or on another window when I'm doing tasks, I can hear how often you're smiling, you just sound so delighted by everything that's happening and that never fails to brighten my day!
We need all these people to come back and be the faces of SC2 again. They say SC2 is over, but, ALL IT NEEDS IS AN INVESTOR, SIMPLES!!!!! EVERYTHING ELSE WOULD TAKE CARE OF ITSELF. From old faces to new up and coming talents, to the rich diverse caster and content pool, to the amazing production values we have been graciously given all these years. To DEFINITIVELY the very best Katowice ever this year for the fans all over, hand in hand with TIMES amazing feat. SC2 is very much alive man, enjoyed by a predominant MATURE audience. Very joyous to see sOs
The problem with that is SC2 belongs to Activision Blizzard and they can just choose to be asshats like Nintendo and just forbid you to do anything with it.
I mean, we’ve had some. The Chinese scene picking up and creating teams a few years ago saved a lot of the Korean scene that would otherwise have had a much bigger drain. We also got Shopify funding HSC, a team, and other stuff. Otherwise things would be much bleaker
Man with all the bad news on the scene recently, it is like a breath of fresh air (smells like sewers made of cheese alright). Whatever happens with SC2 scene, to have player dedicated to changing the meta, doing some crazy builds that keeps you on the edge of your seat.. these are the moments that really bring forward the quality of the game we have a passion for. As always, awesome commentary from Pig, those little daily games are by far, the best entertainment in my opinion. GG!
Sos, HerO, Max Pax, PartinG were the progammers reasons for the consistent protoss nerfs with their crazy, unorthodox builds. It didn't help the toss case when you add amatures such as Florencio and printf into the mix, leaving a long trail of Terran tears and whine. It was hard for traditionalist pro players to keep up with the constant protoss changes to compete on the professional scene for players such as Stats, Classic, Showtime and Neeb.
OMG he's playing?!?! If he actually comes back to SC2 it would be amazing!! He's my favorite player other than Slayers Boxer!! He really feels like the Boxer of SC2! (Lots of creative, out of the box strategies, micro based strategies, and also weak at macro games, was one of the GOATs but fell off after macro play got more figured out)
sOs achieved the highest skill level ever as Protoss, every player were scared of him, picking him last in group stages, I saw him all-kill a pro team using only Dark Templar strategies.
I'm honestly surprised after all this time that Terran buildings floating in the air still count as buildings when it comes to base trades and eliminations. They have so many cheap ways of making up for mistakes. XD. I don't even play SC but it always has bothered me. Floating buildings should be considered the same as attachments. Also supply drops should not exist. They just make up for macro mistakes. It would also help to eliminate raging gamers from just flying everything to dead space to waste people's time when they lose.
Well, he barely lost without the nexus. If he had the nexus, he could have mined out the rest of the main and made a gateway and some more chargelots, maybe even a cyber core and battery. Plus, he was playing very risky on the other side of the map cause he knew he needed to pick away at the army, whereas if he had some mining he could have turtled up. Would have easily won I think.

Player base gets smaller but the quality of the game is so much higher. SC2 is not going away anytime soon.

Are the better protoss players coming back even with the GSL situation? It would be nice to see more S tier Protoss other than Hero right now.
