If I could relive one night of my life, it was when I drove up to Kansas City in December of 2003 and bought a cheap seat to the Big 12 Championship game. Got there early, so I walked down to the first row of the 50 yard line behind the K-State bench and stood there as the seats filled up. Somehow...no one ever made me move. I spent three hours there as Sproles and the Cats dismantled OU 35-7. Very few things in life have brought me the joy of watching Darren Sproles run the football. Undersized, debilitating speech impediment, losing his mother when he was twenty...there aren't many stories like his.
One of the most underrated and versatile RB's of the past 20 years. Could run, catch and return punts/kicks. This little guy was electric! For him to last 14 years in the NFL given his size, was incredible. Well deserved College Football HOF.
My favorite Kansas State player of all time. What I love about him is that when he is in the open field he keeps looking forward and does not look back.

I just wish we saw offenses like this again. Lineman in 3 point stances firing off the ball blowing people up. Sproles was so fun to watch.
I miss watching football in those days. I'm not even a fan of K state but God bless Sproles.
What a phenomenal running back Sproles was. College football is so boring today. It's like basketball on grass. Bring back the feature back!
I'm an LSU fan, but I used to kick ass with ell Roberson, Darren sproles and rock cartwright
The goat
🐐🐐🐐
I wonder if his kids and wife know how much he is loved in Kansas City?
