I have found I love getting one of these Complete curriculum books then use it as a guide line for what my son should learn for his grade I use the worksheets maybe not all of them but it's such a great guide and also a handy test to use as well. My boy is autistic and tends to need a lot of one on one learning videos and reading to learn so I found the 'goals' then use novels, videos and notebooks and toys to teach those points. This video is super helpful especially when we first started a couple years ago super super appreciate you making it
My son has ADHD and is in 5th grade. I just pulled him out to homeschool him a month ago. We go between Brain Quest and Thinking Kids books for his school work. I pulled him because even though his grades were okay, he was getting constant negative feedback. That and.. they won't let kids be kids and a ton of other reasons. But.. ADHD kids need it broken down and exciting for them. I don't feel like he's missing out on too much by using these two books. I do supplement with printout work sheets sometimes.
@@adrianspangler They are supplemental book for kids that are neurotypical. They worked great for my son. I looked at all the things that were sent home and I noticed that those books were similar to what he was learning in school. Do NOT judge me! He's perfectly fine.
I just want to share in case somebody is searching that I have spent so much money on homeschool curriculum! I mean, I’ve pretty much tried it all. The complete curriculum Hartcourt learning is so comprehensive! Yeah, you may need to add a couple things in with it, but it hits all of the skillsthat are needed. I will be adding in copy work and handwriting plus an extra math curriculum… And obviously you need to supplement with a social studies and science… But really the expensive curriculums are totally unnecessary!
Thanks for the video! I have the Brain Quest books, and I am trying to decide if I want to do the Summer Brain Quest books or the Summer Evan Moor books. Thanks for your video, I really enjoyed your point of view! As a homeschool mom of three as well, I appreciate your time and hope to see more videos from you! Subscribed :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback. I really like the Evan Moor books and the Brain Quest ones, so I'm sure that you'll make the right decision with either one. Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it! Hope you have a great day.
Great. Thank you. I think it is hard to give reviews. I have a few I'd like to do. But I think I would be to dry about it. Thank you for the helpful video.
A friend is using the Harcourt Complete Curriculum. I’d never heard of it, but searched it and found your video. 😊 Thank you for sharing about it. I didn’t know there was something that cheap with that many things included. I might have to consider. 👍🏻
We stumbled upon Brainquest on Amazon and I love it as much as my kids too. So fun! So many cool stories AND my kids ask to do their workbooks all morning long and j have to make them put them away because they will just keep going lol
So glad that this was helpful to you! I use a variety of main curricula, focusing on the best curriculum at each subject for my family. We used these as supplements only.
Funny you should say that as I just started doing a massive clean out of the curriculum. :0 Be on the lookout for some giveaway videos. Thank you for watching!
So if I get my children one of each of these, would that be sufficient enough curriculums for them? or will there be any of the other things that we need to buy extra? First time homeschooling 😬
Congratulations on choosing to homeschool! What age are your children? Many of these all-in-ones are meant to be used as supplements. However, the younger your children, the more likely you can use this as your main curriculum. It depends on what you are most comfortable with and if your state has any specific requirements.

You should actually have a homeschool curriculum you’re using…these are only supplemental books… like busy work.

Brain Quest workbooks are my new favorite! If I could have one of everything, I would get it.
I would get one of everything, too. Even though you're not supposed to, I like "all the curricula!" :) ;) Have a great weekend!
Nice comparison between the different curriculums.
Thank you so much! Thank you for watching. Have a great day!
Mindfulness is yoga. Watch out!!!
Wow, with all the things you have reviewed, you must have store rooms of curriculum!
Funny you should say that as I just started doing a massive clean out of the curriculum. :0 Be on the lookout for some giveaway videos. Thank you for watching!
