Okay Courtney, you are actually awesome. First I nailed the ombré thanks to you and now the marble? I am actually impressed, you are the best teacher! ❤️
In the beginning of the video I noticed your nails and was thinking I gotta learn how to get my color strips to lay down better and you went right into it after the marble demonstration!🙌🏾✨ Two thumbs up , great vid! You demonstrate and explain things so well!
These are really, really beautifull; some of the best marble nails I've seen!! The striping tape does just finish them off perfectly. Love these nails so much!! 🤗😊
Hi Courtney, You are incredibly skilled when it comes to nail art! Can you please do a video on what to buy as a beginner in order to create marble nails/gel nails? Thanks! ^_^

These marble nails are beautiful! I'm going to give this a try right now. I like your technique, I've been fiddling around with marble looks but have been using alcohol inks + the black leaves a weird, rusty color after ipa/acetone application. Thanks so much for this and all your videos, they really do help break up my long quarantined day!🙏🌹

I'm always so confused how people marble with alcohol and gel polish. I can only do it with acetone. When I use alcohol the polish becomes weird and grainy and I'm not able to move it as well as I can with acetone.
Gosh I'm so sorry that I've only just seen your comment now. I did exactly the same technique, I just used pink as a base color and white as the marble color.
I was thinking of getting an individual nail holder for practice and premade sets and I see you use a stick. Love that haha but was wondering how you get the mail to stick to it? It there like a piece of foam tape or glue putty or something on the end of it? Thanks for this marble trick! Imma try it tonight!
Hey! I use the stands sometimes but I find the nails sit too close to the lights inside the lamp, so that's why I use sticks if i'm curing multiple nails. I just use blue tack to attach them to either the sticks or the stands. Xx
LoyalKiki yes I did but the bottom white coat had to be layered on and I had to water down the acetone. of course it wasn’t as perfect as hers but it looked pretty good
Newbie at using gel polish, but I've been told not to wipe off the inhibition layer with alcohol or the next layer of polish might lift. Does using alcohol to marble the lines not cause an issue with that?
I think you’d like acetone better. You don’t have to use as much and it moves the gel for you so it looks more organic and you don’t need so many layers so you’re not wasting.
I've noticed that some black gels don't spread as well as others with alcohol. Try with acetone maybe will work better. I don't know what you mean by the color comes through .
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie I figured what was the problem, I was using regular nail polish, not gel. xD ahah that's why when I was using the acetone the nail polish was coming out of my nail and everything was drying so fast.

That happened to me with acetone! Maybe it's the formula of the polish?
i have found that some gel polishes dont really dissolve in alcohol. Each product is different I guess :)
I used Acetone and it worked.

Newbie at using gel polish, but I've been told not to wipe off the inhibition layer with alcohol or the next layer of polish might lift. Does using alcohol to marble the lines not cause an issue with that?
No itll be fine. I regularly wipe the tacky layer for aspects of art and never ever have issues with the layers lifting.
what is that shade on your thumbs?! everything about this video is gorgeous 😫
Thank you , my purple thumb is bluesky WR03 and the glitter is Platinum 23 . Xo
can I use rubbing alcohol?
Yes. Rubbing alcohol is another name for isopropyl alcohol ☺️
What percentage is the alcohol
70%
You mentioned a detailing brush or which other kind of brush? I couldn't quite get it. Nice
Yea, a detailing brush, just a brush that is super thin and fine. You don't want alot of product to release from the brush onto the nail. Xo
Where is the glitter polish from? 🤩
I think that was one of the platinum collection from bluesky. Xo
What false nails are you using?
They were just a random brand from Ali express/eBay. Sorry, I don't remember exactly because I buy all different kinds and these are years old.
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie thats fine!
Where do you get that pumper for your alcohol?
Probably off Amazon. Search for nail polish remover pump :)

what pink polish do you have on here??
I've got bluesky WR03 on and the glitter is platinum 23 also from bluesky, but layered over the purple. Xo
What brand full cover nails do you use?
Any and all.. makarrt is my go to though. Xo
Hi! Instead of acetone are we able to use nail polish remove instead. Or are they very different🥴💕
You can use nail polish remover instead, just use less to start off with and see how it reacts. It will be similar though 😁
