I dread the summers. Since last 2,3 years we regularly get 4,5 mths of continuous days at 42,45degree Celsius. Its a task to keep them from cooking. Thanku fr the vdos.

Oh my gosh- that is terrible. We've had a couple of summers like that (only 3 months though) and it was so hard. I can't imagine 4-5 months 😟 I hope it will be better for you this year. I'm really worried about the future- the weather seems to be getting more and more erratic around the world..

About how many hours of direct sun were these plants exposed to? I live in Southern California and we have some pretty hot, dry summers. Sometimes we have temperatures that reach over 35 degrees for many weeks.

Pretty much all day long. They would have had some shade early in the morning but then they get hit by full sun from about 10am-6pm. It hit 40C (104F) about 11am and stayed over 42C (107F) until 4pm 🥵 I think our summers are quite similar to yours, it can get hot and stay hot for weeks 😔

What is your procedure kat to acclimate Succulents to the sun in order not to burn the leaves?
Echveria for instance the onces which requires intense 🌞
Secondly can a Succulent thrive in afternoon sunlight if acclimated already or does it separately need to get acclimated to afternoon sun?
