I love the interior and the idea of going vertical. But it's a bit out of place in regards to the neighborhood, both visually and likely price-wise also.
I see your point. The outside looks out of place, and price point of neighboring homes. I also would have wanted more rustic interior, if she wanted that country feel.
A good contractor who loves his job is always a blessing
Her biggest issue is she doesn’t listen to owners he said 325 but she is hell bent on using all the money so from the start these people where doomed

Stunning house. But they should've just found a different house that suited them. They will never recover equity in that neighborhood.
It feels luxurious but very cold, flat. Not a place I'd like to live
The exterior looks just like any suburban house: BORING, they all look the same nowadays,no new modern architecture, they r all farm houses 😒 the interior is really luxurious, loved the kitchen,that fireplace is art, I really liked the interior design but it still look like all those reno going around.....not a single reno had me in awe,something different,personal choices.......there must be something else than farm houses in usa.
These houses are middle class houses. Can't change the front structure of the house without proper permits, which are very expensive. Since there's a budget , in the USA, the home buyers tend to remodel inside and add better materials , trendy colors in order to resell within a few years. That's how the housing market works in the USA. Allison victoria is one of my favorites in this market, but There are other incredible interior designers such as Nate Berkus, Barbara Barry, Joanna Gaines from magnolia, Christina Hall post separating from her demolition house flip husband, Vern yip with oriental decorations, etc ...... 😊

Kitchen storage and cabinets are fantastic, colour is meh 😒.
Love the warmth of the copper but foiled against a clay/putty grey colour. No thanks.
Bedroom is wonderful, cheerful and sunny place to be.
I have less problems with the house not matching the rest, knowing that others are doing the same thing. Similar situation in neighbourhoods around Atlanta and other larger cities. Old neighbourhoods with smaller houses bought for the lot houses torn down and replaced with an ugly McMansion. At least they made adjustments with the existing building and didn’t waste it, just added to it.
