    REDCap-ETL:
    Extracts data from REDCap
Transforms the data based on user-defined transformation rules
Loads the the transformed data into a database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) or CSV (Comma Separated Value) files
REDCap-ETL can be helpful for the following:
Data querying and visualization. If you have data querying and visualization tools that only work on a database, or work better on a database, REDCap-ETL can get your REDCap data into a database where you can then use these tools. In addition, the data transformations provided by REDCap-ETL can transform your data into a form that is easier to analyze.
Combining data from multiple REDCap projects. REDCap-ETL supports the loading of data extracted from multiple REDCap projects into a single database.
Combining REDCap data with non-REDCap data. If you have non-REDCap data in a database, or that can be easily exported to a database, then REDCap-ETL can be used to store your REDCap data in the same database.
Custom applications. Software developers generally know how to access data in a database, but not how to access the data directly from REDCap. In addition, the data transformations provided by REDCap-ETL can transform the data into a form that is easier for developers to work with.
