Great video! nice grooves played =) The design is funny, like fresh from a comic book, and the sound is what it's supposed to be, VIntage! I think flatwounds would fit well
Nice one Gregor and as always great playing by Rene. I love the sound of this bass, it's got as you say, that P Bass vibe + something else. Might just have to buy one! :)
The first run sold out completely and this run is following suit.I've wanted one for a while and managed to grab the last one in the store. If you want one don't wait
God if they add an option for custom paintjobs, I might literally sell some of my junk just to afford it. I love my SG modded into a bass, but that body and headstock shapes are SO LOVELY!
It has pronounced and troublesome neck-dive. The electronics consist of a cheap PU and low-cost mini pots and cheap jack. This is a good bass for modding, but the neck dive will still be an issue.
Nice review and playing. It's a shame, for me, it does sound similar to some very cheap basses that are out there. Very nice quality demo and for me confirmed I don't like the sound but music is unique so hopefully some do 👍
Sad that the orange website only lists dealers which either have no website or are closed since 2018?!? Wtf... How is there not even a shop in the UK. Not that I need one but isnt orange a English Company? Pretty weird overall. It isnt even possible for me to buy this bass ...
Greetings dear host. I am working on my new acquisition here. A late 1970s SD Curlee Standard II bass. I wish it was 34" scale, but it is 32.5". It needs a bit of love, so I better get back to work.
I'm sure it's a great bass, as a matter of fact I really like it, but it has a heavy price tag for a Made in China bass, their quality control is hit and miss to say the least, I think I'm going with a Made in Mexico jazz bass for the same money 👍.
So, you are going to sell your car, your tv, your computer etc etc? Most products have some Chinese components in nowadays. And while some Chinese guitars are crap, there are some great Luthiers there making killer quality guitars.
A strap button at the 17th fret should be considered a crime against bassmanity
Funny, I never saw it coming but it looks exactly like the bass I imagine orange would make, it's blown me away, thanks for sharing this gem!
I have the exact one, always wanted one and feel very fortunate to be a proud owner...💙👊😎💙👊😎
Flächs to the Mäx!!! The intro was so deep in the pocket I thought René would never get out of it again 👍😎
Cool 60s style Orange bass and a sick tone!
"Salami pickguard" - I love that name! Hahahaha...
Love the bass, BTW, sounds and looks amazing 🙂
I saw the tortoiseshell right before he said 'salami'. Orange gets pickguards from Italy, huh?
I lost it at "salami pickguard". Being a huge fan of the SBK models from Harley Benton which mostly come with that pickguard, i feel attacked :D
Almost bought one of these in like 2016 or whatever the other run was. Never was able to try one though; hopefully I'll be able to try one this time!
😂 I got an ad for orange juice before the video

I have a cheap 25 watt orange 🍊 amp at home. My neighbours prefer it over my Mark bass 300 watt combo 😅
You had me at “Salami Pickguard”
im waiting to find one of these used one day lol.. that neck dive would probably bug me.

This is one people either love or hate.I happen to like it.
Can't decide between the Orange bass or the Hofner ignition bass. I like them both
could i play metal one this one? im new to the bass guitars so please dont judge
I like these 👌 simple looks cool sounds good...... what more could you want?
I love the looks but wonder about neck dive and lower note reach issues while standing.
I’d like that as a p/j bass better. 👍🏽🔊🔊
That's a rather charming thing, I feel a few phone calls coming on. I'd love to try one

this thing need flatwounds! ☝
Nylon flatwounds, for maximum vintage.
Love the bass, love the outro! 😎👍
SOUNDS GOOD
I need this with a red-white-blue pickguard
*WILHELMUS INTENSIFIES*
hello, how much does it weigh exactly?

I would have loved a maple fretboard version… :’(
Best Reviewer on the Web!

Need to buy online but hurry it's a limited run.

cool bass, enjoy :)
That's a great scale and a cool bass.
Sounded pretty good with the tone rolled all the way off. Shame there's no contouring to the body at all.
It’s easily the most uncomfortable bass I’ve played in recent memory.
Boss!

Lets heff fönn viss Tshermen Exzentz. I thought "Who needs a Plek-d headstock???" No no, it's pleck! You know, ze kalah!
Yes, the real Almann-Style: Socks in Sandals.
I think Tina Weymouth would have liked this bass. Stylish, slightly old-school, unflashy tone. But who is today's Tina Weymouth?
Scale length was not mentioned?
34“
@@basstheworldofficial thank you very much.
That bass looks incredible. And sounds amazing.
I really enjoy the playing. Merci!
uh oh round edges watch out for a gibson lawsuit!
I wanted to buy one just now, but then I saw it was Made In China🇨🇳😔
No Thanks👎
Bummer!

Is the O-Bass made in China?
Flaming hedgehog?!? Who's going to put that out!!! 😂😂😂
Yes. You can see it on the back of the headstock at 3:07.
Most things are made in China.
Do they make a lefties version?
Yes. It's called the "Upside Down O Bass."
Salami pickguard really or tortoise and the neck is too heavy show it standing up without holding it show it fall to the ground
Sorry but it looks and sounds like it's the sort of bass that comes in a beginner's kit with a shitty 1x8 combo.
Ugly but cute
Called?
In summary, it's just a P bass, but crap.
it's like a squier p-bass but with severe neck dive for a lot more than the squier
Hmm.... Looks like a gimmick
It's literally just a single pickup a volume and a tone. What part of that that is a gimmick to you?
@@aniquinstark4347 you buy this bass for it looks. Playability and sound seems awful
@@aniquinstark4347 I agree. Not a gimmick but surely an average chinese bass overpriced. You could buy a better sounding harley benton.
I want one but I am left-handed :(
