Man, I bet those steaks tasted great. Sitting in that Marinade like that in the package. Thanks for the video. Food looked great and the cook kit did awesome. I just ordered the cook kit myself. It doesn't get much better than that man.
Bro, this kit is just sick!! This is ingenuity at its finest!! I love the high quality and how everything is stored all together in this sweet system!! I gotta get me some!! Peace brother!!
Cut yourself a disc of plastic from one of them clear tubs to fit inside the pan or find a small plastic or paper picnic plate to use as a) a plate or chopping board and b) to protect your pan inside coating from scratches from your knife -a silicone or wooden spatula would also help that. As much as we love a substantial supper, it does tend to weigh us down under the sleeping bag, and an excess of meat can result in ‘the sweats’, where your tummy has a lot of work to do overnight to digest it all. Sometimes less is more! 🥃👍🏻🏴🖐🏻
I have the plastic disc on my trsngia thet doubles as a seive and use that as a plate when I have burgers etc but paper plates I think is the way forward 👌👍
Great review. A nice bit of kit But you probably would leave most of it at home because you don't need all them pans. But that would make it lighter and that's always good. I do like the burner system which would make it almost impossible to knock over by accident so that's another plus. The only issue I have is "Fire Maple" gear is so expensive, as you can pick up a great set for half the price, that will work just as good and last for years.
Looks a reasonable cookset, however the unattached pot holders put me off right away. Four more things to lose. I am a Trangia user and find them hard to beat, right from the Trangia triangle and mini up to my pimped T25. I was gifted a cookset a year or so ago, that is being marketed for DoE and school/youth groups - The Endurance Lava 400. Very similar to Trangia 27 all in anodised aluminum. Lovely little set. Certainly not just for youth groups. I've used it quite a few times with gas burner, (pretty much identical to the one used here) Really like it. Have to say I did wince when you cut into your steaks with your knife in the anodised pan - hope the coating survived. Nice meal tho. 👍
Yeah its a shame they didn't attach them folding like the trangia does but maybe a patent thing. And no, there was no damage to the Frying pan, did really well but I know what you mean, makes me wince when I see people do thst but I had no choice, unprepared as not used to cooking real food 😂
Now Mike, great review, ive had my eye on this ever since Andy wardle was reviewing it, but he got the fuel burner one which along with this one hadnt even been realised on their website, anyway it is now and has also now appeared on Amazon, which i prefer to use for quicker delivery and price is on par with ordering from Fire maple direct. Any way with the gas one can you confirm for me if a alcholol burner like a trangia will fit this ok ?? Oh i also mentioned you in my latest vid we're i talk about Bens (Daleyoutdoors) channel, dont worry it was mainly positive 😂😂 Cheers mate 👍
Something nice and reassuring with this type of cook system, nice and stable and flexible. I have a couple of Trangia kits and a Robens cookery king which I prefer as the frying pan sits inside the windshield as does the fire maple. Anodised aluminium is such a great material for this kind of gear. Add a Trangia triangle or a Clickstand and for a little extra weight one has a two burner cook kit.
Yeah two burner would have been better ad cooking three different items so had to keep warming each one in between to stop it cooling too much. Love the system though 👌
Have you had any news back on the UK availability of the Hill Zeto Matis 2P or any feed back on the 3 season version with less mesh? Really fancy this tent being 6ft6 as I bulge out the ends of my Cloud Peak 2 🤣
Look at you Gordon Ramsay lol.looks decent cook system the bulk and faff is why I don't use them but those that do love them.but I'm watching you up a hill while I'm up a hill having a beer and my freeze dried meal 😂.btw i see you ram raided the fjhallraven shop lol👍
@deandunbar5159 ah ok, it was the lack of signal where i was. You need 4g to be able to stream it to your phone live. It still worked and takes greet footage when I had used it before. So it depends if you want a night vision trail cam or a thermal camera. Both work really well but the cheaper trail cam I had is probably just as good but if you want an alarm on your phone when something triggers it then you need the other one.
🤣 I actually did a pole a year or so back asking if people thought I should change my name but an overwhelming no one it as that's how I was known. I wanted to appeal to new comers to show anyone can wild camp so get out there and enjoy it. Maybe change to No Vice Wild Camping? 🤣👍
This channel started ok but in the last 6 or so months you really have turned into a sell out with reviewing gear you get sent for free, how about keep it real or buy your own stuff, I've stopped watching most of your videos now, focus on the hike the scenery instead of cheap free gear
Can't please everyone. I do a mix of both. I even did a pole about doing a separate review channel so this channel would be just camping but it went 50/50 so shows that half want to watch reviews. And I cent afford to buy stuff constsnt to keep you, the viewer entertained or informed on new gear. So you tell me how its supposed to be done.

It always amazes me how bacon just makes a morning so much better

Looks a great set, very tempting. I was intrigued by your little table - what is it?
@wavesoffun I make them myself. Sell them on outdoorgearessentials website 👍 73g and packs away to nothing
Thanks for sharing.
I could not find the FireMaple cook set from your link.
@taber247 it takes you to the main shop page. Just search cook sets and you'll find it.
I've added another link

Cracking cook set, could probably fit a trangia style burner in there too. Love the jacket, Fjall Raven do some great gear and it's top quality stuff.
Cheers Paul. Yeah I dud mention about fitting a trangia inside or one of those copies would also fit, lighten it up a bit 👍

Hi mick. Cheers for that. Yes it does fit a trangia sized alcohol burner. I fitted my one in and it fits perfect 👌
@@NoviceWildCamper brilliant cheers for that Mike 👍

@@NoviceWildCamper Indeed everything gets cold so quickly when cooking and eating alfresco.
Think I'll get myself that as I like using a Trangia myself
It's decent and not a bad price. Don't forget to use my code and get 10% off 👍
