- THE NORTHEN LIGHTS IN SCOTLAND….. ahhhhhh this was a dream come true. Never did we think the first time we would witness the Northern lights would be in Scotland. The UK of all places. This was the cherry on top of an incredible few days on the North Coast of the NC500.
Places we visited
Smoo Cave. Highly recommend stopping here on your way through. Free car park at the top of the cliff. We visited during low season so we had it all to ourselves. However we recommend visiting early in the Summer as we can imagine it getting super busy & the car park is small.
Faraid Head. Gorgeous walk with some beautiful beaches & stunning sand dunes. This place is so special. Please take all rubbish with you & leave it as you find it. Respect this protected area.

Omg those Northern Lights! In Scotland! Absolutely magical, I wouldn’t want to go to sleep with them dancing above either 😍 So cool you got to see the bombs being dropped too. Love you two sliding down those sand dunes 😂 Lots of love xx

@@thetravelduo_ We saw them in Iceland a few years ago, but it was only a little bit. Then when we flew back we saw them from the plane which was amazing but I still wanna see a huge dancing show from the ground. Not being picky or anything 😂 xx
