I’m in love ❤ I’ve already got it’s SBR 2 big brother so I think it’s time to add to our family. Doesn’t seem to bog down too much at the rear compared to mine
Years in the hobby and you still make a lot mistakes driven the baja rey 🤣. IRONIC ANY ONE MAYBE HAVE THE BEST MORE EXPENSIVE RC BUT STILL GOT NOT GOOD SKILLS . TO DRIVEN. 🤣
Not a fan of losi by any means,I have the older one and don’t like it..But this o r is half way decent and might get it..What makes me laugh is the UDR is 5-6 years old and still on TOP of any scale RC out there..Including this one
So some way to limit the suspension compression is worth looking into. Honestly this looks like it might do me better than the UDR. Felt like I was always tearing down the UDR for something.
i cannot stress this enough, i love watching your videos. dont get me wrong but your voice is so claming to hear. thank you so much for all these videos. LOVE FROM INDIA
Slow-mo really shows the true realism of these solid axle models, just like the real Trophy Trucks.. brilliant to watch. And kicking up the sand and dust on that strip you found, class... the black and gold combo too, ya can't beat that colour scheme!
Looks suspiciously like a Traxxas Slash 😭 especially from underneath It does have stuff like the extra dampener shocks, body, etc. but many part and the layout is super similar
I think they should’ve put the 4S system from the Tenacity and Lasernut in it. Idk if it needs all that power, but still. Edit: 4S motor not system. I think it’s the same system in my Vendetta, and to be fair, that’s probably enough power for a realistic desert truck, but maybe put the 4S motor in the bashers.
Thanks for the honest review I was wondering how it would handle with a solid rear axle. It looks like a pain to work on though. I cant believe there is no fan on the motor no excuse for that. I cant believe that tree jumped out like that totally not your fault.
Awesome video Brett, I still have the losi Baja Rey when it came out a few years ago. It's really more of a basher to me because I'm really hard on my stuff and this truck takes a beating and keeps going strong. Well worth the money for it.
if there's a tree it's going to get hit! i love losi stuff and this baja rey has to be part of my collection. such a rad truck and your review was great. thank you
Tomley RC (who is in the UK) recently did a video where he said he saved about $1400 spread between multiple purchases;by shopping through Amain. (Saved 1400 compared to buying locally and not enjoying the July sales, even with having to pay the import taxes)
Its crazy how many people get this wrong, it damping, not dampening. DAMPENING is when you make something slightly wet. DAMPING is what you DAMPERs (not DAMPENERS) do.
damn, i envy you, so much open dry terrain to have a blast on... i live in soggy wales, where if its dry, it won't be for long, and even then, open area's you can take big powerful brushless cars and trucks are far and few between, i have found one place i could take my ftx rockatan and open it up, either way, great video, i hpe this truck comes to the uk soon, i love rc trucks with this kind of realistic suspension. there is nothing more worth watching than long travel suspension in action
very good, trophy truck rc being used as it should be used, and not being placed on skate ramps and doing super high jumps, that is not the purpose of this rc. Each rc car has a purpose of use, that is, it is manufactured for a certain type of use, and in this video, the baja rey was highly demanded, but respecting the mode of use for which the rc was designed.
That suspension is fricn SWEEEET, I'm not a big fan of solid axles on a RC but having it only in the rear seems to work great for this model, looks like you can put the power down really well with out spinning out etc!!! 🔥
I absolutely hate Heatwave ridiculously fugly sunglasses, but I LOVE THIS LOSI! What a little beast! Independent front suspension, solid rear axle! I'm a Crawler, I drive a Solid Axle Swap First Gen Tacoma, I'm not a Prerunner guy, but in the RC world, I'm a Prerunner mofo! Definitely my next RC!
Welp now I know what I’m buying after a sell my rcs that I have haha love the vids hopefully more companies will start making more mini rc cars their more budget friendly for teens and kids or adults that just like the smaller stuff
It looks great, it seems to run great if you are going in straight line or in really loose stuff for turning, but I am not interested unless they make an upgrade kit that will allow me to run it on a race track. $550 for a basher I am not interested. Upgrade to a race ready truck, and you can happily take my money.
Funny how these hobby has gone mostly electric but details show Nitro bottles. I will stick to Nitro RC till the day I die. The smell, the sound, the realism, there is nothing like it.
I'm really tempted to buy one if these but I am a little suspicious of the roll cage made of plastic. Like the aluminium chassis is solid and there is also a top and lower aluminium deck apparently. It's hard to see but that's what Lisi say.but at the speed this truck is capable of reaching I am not so sure of the scale roll bar made of plastic bars or tube. It's probably molded solid plastic bar but 50 mph or 81 km/h is dang fast. And the way this truck traction rolls really easily and rolls over onto its top side has got me concerned. My local hobby shop has them on sale now but here in Australia where I am parts for any and every brand of RC cars is so difficult to source taking months to years no jokes. It probably better to buy from eBay in America and have parts shipped over here than relying on the distribution and the hobby shop to get any parts. I'm tempted and trying to decide between this and a Traxxas Ford F150 TRX 4 crawler. 2 totally different vehicles I know. And while lots of people hate Traxxas due to the way they run their company and try to monopolize the hobby industry and force us to run Traxxas parts which cost more, and aren't necessarily better than aftermarket parts. I realise all this but I'm kind of mesmerised by a really capable of road rock crawler that does what 4WD vehicles were built for. Another con to Traxxas is they only warranty there products for 30 days and Losi managed by Horizon hobbies who give a 24 month warranty.
The slo-mo's on this are epic.
Agree
Definitely agree
Absolutely definitely agree
💯
Yes
I'm here for the suspension slow-mo. It didn't disappoint!
An updated video guide of you guys cleaning out all the sand and getting it ready for next time would be great!!
Man! you guys do the best running videos! the slow motion shots are so sick!
Brett does a great job.
When he drops the car from a height and it drops down on its suspension...his reaction 😂😂
What a home run… the brothers are top notch in the racing world, glad they can get some cred
I’m in love ❤ I’ve already got it’s SBR 2 big brother so I think it’s time to add to our family. Doesn’t seem to bog down too much at the rear compared to mine
*_A truly epic video Brett!_*
Epic truck. Nice to see a cheaper smaller alternative to the UDR.
So some way to limit the suspension compression is worth looking into. Honestly this looks like it might do me better than the UDR. Felt like I was always tearing down the UDR for something.
It would probably be decently easy to mount a bump stop
As always cinematic presentation!good job mate once again! the music at the end is at another level!
Love to see how much fun you guys had reviewing it.
The scaleness of the suspension on the fast but rough terrain is absolutely amazing.
Can you compare it to a Traxxas udr
500 scale MPH never looked so good. Great shots my friend.
i cannot stress this enough, i love watching your videos. dont get me wrong but your voice is so claming to hear. thank you so much for all these videos. LOVE FROM INDIA
Brett does an awesome job, big fan from Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦
Slow-mo really shows the true realism of these solid axle models, just like the real Trophy Trucks.. brilliant to watch. And kicking up the sand and dust on that strip you found, class... the black and gold combo too, ya can't beat that colour scheme!
I’ve seen other reviews on this and it made me kinda wanna get one. After watching this review, I’m ordering one tomorrow. 😅😅
Got mine a little over a week ago. Awesome classic body styling and realistic construction.
Looks suspiciously like a Traxxas Slash 😭 especially from underneath
It does have stuff like the extra dampener shocks, body, etc. but many part and the layout is super similar
No it doesnt
It’s not even the same chassis design or bass
How does it look like a slash bro 😭
You feeling ok bro?
The more I see this truck...drive and work over terrain the more I like😢
This thing smokes that new raptor craptor from Traxxas.
You can run a 4s lipo it's capable
The ESC is 4S capable but not the motor.
-Brett
How do I get your job?? LOL
I love these trucks. Wish there was a racing class / tracks for them
Best review of this truck on YT. Great job guys.
The slo-mos are spot on, love the suspension travel.
Lol.. Matches the Pro boats Recoil 2 Heatwave.
really awesome rig, looks like it would be a good companion to my lasernut. the scale details really drive it home
Thanks for the honest review I was wondering how it would handle with a solid rear axle. It looks like a pain to work on though. I cant believe there is no fan on the motor no excuse for that. I cant believe that tree jumped out like that totally not your fault.
Ive got a Hammer Rey,same motor and heatsink. You'll drain your battery before motor or ESC ever lock out lol.
Lodi just keeps developing. Love it!
60"s? Those are 80's headlights...
I got mine a few days ago. Absolutely killed it!!! So much fun
If this RC worked at a certified ripper factory, it would be a foreman. (I’m aware that was corny) sounded funny in my head
Love the slo-mos! Judging by the comments I am not alone in this. So cool looking how it soaks up the bumps.
Not gonna lie....I just watch to see him wreck the cars and trucks!!!!🤪🤪🤪😎😁
Wow! You guys really captured some awesome footage!
Awesome video Brett, I still have the losi Baja Rey when it came out a few years ago. It's really more of a basher to me because I'm really hard on my stuff and this truck takes a beating and keeps going strong. Well worth the money for it.
With some of these shots, if you added Trophy Truck sound effects, you would never know the difference.
I feel dusty just watching this video! I am almost ready to put my money down for one, great video!
Can't wait to see the video of this on your track. (in slow-mo of course.... ;-) )
if there's a tree it's going to get hit! i love losi stuff and this baja rey has to be part of my collection. such a rad truck and your review was great. thank you
Awesome video guys.
Do you ship to the UK?
It seems that horizon doesn't think enough of its European customers to send us the 2.0😢
Tomley RC (who is in the UK) recently did a video where he said he saved about $1400 spread between multiple purchases;by shopping through Amain. (Saved 1400 compared to buying locally and not enjoying the July sales, even with having to pay the import taxes)
Sounds great 👍 😊
Its crazy how many people get this wrong, it damping, not dampening. DAMPENING is when you make something slightly wet. DAMPING is what you DAMPERs (not DAMPENERS) do.
I love this truck! Cant wait to get mine!!
Time to buy another Losi.
All these RC products will get better once we start manufacturing them in United States again! Outsourcing needs to stop!
It looks so realistic in some of those shots. Almost indistinguishable from the real deal.
damn, i envy you, so much open dry terrain to have a blast on... i live in soggy wales, where if its dry, it won't be for long, and even then, open area's you can take big powerful brushless cars and trucks are far and few between, i have found one place i could take my ftx rockatan and open it up, either way, great video, i hpe this truck comes to the uk soon, i love rc trucks with this kind of realistic suspension. there is nothing more worth watching than long travel suspension in action

The cool thing in RC cars today is that they build so good to scale that you get that realistic movement and driving. Same as the LMT❤
It needs sway bars like yesterday
This is one bad mama jama of a rig
Wish you could build on this truck
Upgrade suspension, lift it a little & maybe a new paint job
That thing hooks up and runs straighter than most no prep drag cars. You should tip up at a drag race and see how well it does.
That blacktop is so much fun to take the grippier trucks onto but damn do you tear through a set of off-road tires quick when you do 😭
Off-road racetracks need to be rough and sandy like the dirt road he was on, then I'll get back into the sport, :)
Would 3s would be like 2000 hp scaled up lol. That truck was just hustling...
My maxx widemaxxs driveshaft/axles keep snappin is dere a better upgrade so i can rip through the yard n street lol
Go to 7:18 and Playback Speed 1.5 - looks like the real deal, amazing little runner
Nice! Thanks for sharing 💪🏼💪🏼
i had two losi already and no more in my life (they were the 1/10 baja rey v 2 and 1/6 super baja v 1)
This is way worth the $530 than the traxxas raptor r that also cost $530 basically a stretched out slash SMH
Where’s a video on the Traxxas Ford F-150 Raptor R 4X4?
Only thing I really see wrong is the front of the body bounces too much. Definitely getting one of these
They definitely should have left the front sway bar🤦🏽♂️
That suspension is fricn SWEEEET, I'm not a big fan of solid axles on a RC but having it only in the rear seems to work great for this model, looks like you can put the power down really well with out spinning out etc!!! 🔥
LMT is a lot of fun ,
@@RcPlayer-tt2vw Yes, definitely one of the best solid axle models for sure, can't leave out the Raminator though 😁
I was unsure about this chassis cause I'm used to buggies but dang that's sick lol
Hopefully the super version is coming soon.
Youre absolutely 🌄 correct, this Truck RIPS🚨🔥
Now if Axial would make a Yeti Score 2.0...
It has way to much power on 3S for beatiful driving 😳
That grill do not fit well😬 I stick to my Heatwave UDR😊
way too much torque twist. cant keep the left front wheel on the ground under extreme throttle.
10:31
That's what she said
Next we need SBR 3.0
this is what every 4wd vxl slash wants to be lol
Make the scale 1/6-1/7 and just take my soul away ...
I dislikectrailing arm suspensions on RC cars.
How to clean this rc. Can you make video or reels ?
Hey Brett, I know it’s not meant to be a basher(I have a 6s truck for that) but how durable is it in jumping or crashing hard, I’m not a good driver
When my raptor Rey was stock you can beat on it really hard before it gives handles rolling at full speed just fine
Easily the coolest RC this year so far!
Welp now I know what I’m buying after a sell my rcs that I have haha love the vids hopefully more companies will start making more mini rc cars their more budget friendly for teens and kids or adults that just like the smaller stuff
Beautiful truck, wish LOSI made a NITRO version, would buy it in a heartbeat.
Who was the Lawn guy driving the nice rc . Pedro ?
Just wow! This car is gorgeous!
I wish you had gone and showed the internals of it! :) It's great seeing it run, but mechanics is also interesting! ;)
It looks great, it seems to run great if you are going in straight line or in really loose stuff for turning, but I am not interested unless they make an upgrade kit that will allow me to run it on a race track. $550 for a basher I am not interested. Funny how these hobby has gone mostly electric but details show Nitro bottles. I will stick to Nitro RC till the day I die. The smell, the sound, the realism, there is nothing like it.
Dang. I used to own an 68 F250 and always wanted to turn it into a desert truck like this… I may have to get one
I'm still waiting for mine an I pre ordered first day
Losi Baja Rey 2.0 VS arrma mojabi soon ?
Amazing Review you truly rock when it comes to Review s you cover all the areas of an RC product
the way dude says "livery" is so cringy...
That things rips! Disrespectful to planet Earth and I love it.
Any chance that they will make a scale stepside truck body? That thing has awesome suspension travel.
Is it safe to drive with a Traxxas batter with an adapter?
I'm really tempted to buy one if these but I am a little suspicious of the roll cage made of plastic. Like the aluminium chassis is solid and there is also a top and lower aluminium deck apparently.
