    and the omnipresent voice of greg spoke the words of wisdom "avoid those kinds of situations" and all was right in the fencing world.

    Imboden kinda seems like a wad
    Those touches where he falls over backwards and then somehow still gets the shoulder are sick though

      nah race is a nice guy, hes more outspoken than alex, but he isnt a "wad".

    You have to be rich to be a top fencer, there is no money in it beyond the College level... this is why all the top ranked American Fencers are usually between 19 and 25.

      +Becktemba Kazemde as someone who is close friends with many of the top american fencers i can assure you that is not the case

      Whats not the case, there is no money in Fencing or that its not expensive to travel to all the tournaments in order to get ranking?

      @CyrusofChaos  8 лет назад +1

      +Becktemba Kazemde no, that these guys are all rich. It's true, there isn't a lot of money in it at the high level for Americans

      CyrusofChaos I didn't understand what he said so I asked. My English is not very good.

      efe caliskan "Why do you keep stepping into it? Run away remise instead of stepping in! You've done it two times - I mean how many times have you done it this bout?"
      Basically Alexander keeps trying to step in with his remises but Race keeps hitting his ripostes so Greg Massialas tells him it would be better to make the remise while running away instead.

    Race's 10th touch is so unusual, just the angle he decides to finish out seems so low for someone as tall as he is. Really clean fencing though.

    Alexander's dad seems a bit obnoxious. Let his son fence.

    Race is a great fencer but I cant help but cringe every time he yells after a point. I am more in favor of the "I've been there before and will again" mentality than the screaming and yelling thing. This was a great bout nonetheless.

      he has gotten there before and will be there again by competing the way he competes in this bout. people who get to the top and then change their attitudes to "trying to play it cool" dont often stay at the top for very long

      Of course and I understand that. I don't expect him to change his tone and he has gone on record multiple times saying that he is very emotional before, during and after a match. It is just my personality to favor those that are more calm and collected. He is still an exceptional fencer and I hope he goes far and brings fencing into the mainstream.

    I have not fenced in 15 years but I bet I could get 5 touches off these fencers in a 10 touch bout at 44 years old.
