A basic guide to line-ups. (low/mid tier) War Thunder.

- Here is a new kind of video I'm testing out to see if people find it useful.
This is a basic guide to winning more games with a balanced lineup.
These are the same principles I follow when playing low-mid tier matches :)
Let me know what you think!
Hope you enjoy it.
Tankonaut.
Thanks for teaching WT players to actually create lineups, this seems to be quite an issue with a lot of players
Thank you for your comment. Yes, even in low-tier matches you sometimes see people leave after a single death. I feel that RUclipsrs (myself included) can give people the idea that playing a single tank is the norm. 99% of the time, I will play my matches to the end, using every vehicle I need to win. This is how I make the most silverlions IMHO
@@tankonautI can't wait for your HESH vid!!!!!!
Especially allied ones, those teams are unbearable atm
While I agree. It’s tough because in some BRs there isn’t such an ideal lineup. 6.7 america, for example, is entirely heavies. Luckily they have a good light tank to augment- but not all trees are like that.
@@Spooon10 yep, some nations and BR brackets don’t give all the options to have a very balanced lineup. These principles still apply but you have to make a judgment call on how to balance your lineup. I generally take more of what I enjoy playing or am good with
if only the German players in my team do all of this.....
You got german players? I only get bots

If u want to have more fun with it, don't forget to add Panzer IV H or Pz.IV J to grind.
Both nice tanks you can build a lineup around - I would use them with the STUG III G, Dicker Max, Ostwind :)
3.7 all panzer 4 Lineup is gud
Meh, Pz.IV J is like a worse version of the H
@@termiusprime yeah but it's a 4th panzer 4 bro, what, you want to use the PanzerIIIM instead???hahahaha
@@albertogiavani75 No, I'm just saying it's not a good tank, and I don't need 4 if them when I could be using another tank, and not a Pz.III as they suck
You forgot to mention that you can use spaa to get back into the game by using their low spawn cost and that they work great at countering lightly armoured vehicles that might tear up your team's flanks
This is an excellent tip - one of the massive reasons you ALWAYS take an AA. thank you!
I appreciate that you included either a free lineup or one with one GE crew (I can't remember how many there are) and filled them with an easy to follow group of vehicles.
You’re welcome :) yes, 5 slots are free the sixth and subsequent are ge. You can just mix and match with 5 slots though - I sometimes have two different lineups for the same BR for variety :)
The vast majority of WT shorts youtubers kinda suck or just rely on comedy for their content. It's refreshing to see actually useful strategy guides, as opposed to "big bomb gets 5 kills"
Thank you sir. I appreciate the positive feedback. Watching videos helped me so much when I started playing, so just trying to give something back :)
"rely on comedy" yes, why would humor youtubers use humor?
why do tankers even use tanks actually? that's so cheap, they should use planes.
You're misinterpreting what I said. I don't have a problem with that style of War Thunder short, I enjoy them a lot. But as I said, it's refreshing to have a change of pace from the norm. @@Pururut
Great channel, you deserve more subs and recognition
Thank you sir. Much appreciated!
Thank you for this kind of content, now I want to install WT again
My pleasure sir. A break from war thunder is always good now and then :)
That lineup with the Nashorn was where it was at until Gaijin decided to uptier the Tiger to 6.0 😢
The H1 only went to 5.7 tho - the E went to 6.0 - so yes it's annoying and kinda unnecessary, but running it as a 5.7 lineup is still strong
@@tankonaut hmm that is a good point. I think 6.0 is a strong lineup, I do Tiger E, Jagd Panther and a couple of Panthers.
Tiger is still strong at 5.7
@@tankonautproblem is 5.7 black holes to 6.3 where the h1 is useless.

this lil short helped me so much. cuz its good against up tiers i hate them so much
As someone who has been playing this game since 2017 i can confirm that this video is correct, even though it of course still doesnt explain the whole game. Its way tot complex to be put into one video and everyone has their own experience and opinions. Get your own experience and just try to understand your enemies' and your tanks' weaknesses
Good tips!
To be fair, the He-111-H16 works a little better because it got a 2500kg bomb
I wasn’t really making a recommendation on a specific aircraft in this video - it’s just an example. The he111 is great for those specific scenarios where the enemy team is clustered together and I try and squeeze it into my lineups exactly for them however, the ju 188a2 is a much more flexible aircraft. It flys like a heavy fighter, completely outclassing the 111 in agility / defense and has some great load outs. Don’t ignore it :)
@@tankonautcosts 10k to repair now. Id rather take the fw190 d9.
@@maximilianmustermann1278 fair point!
Also depends what you need it for.
The H16 is also Rank 2 with a pretty poor SL and RP modifier and doesn't count for most tasks.
The bomb itself really is a great addition for a fun lineup but i rarely find myself playing for fun sadly, the game is too grindy for that and i've been since a little before tanks came into the game.
I'm mainly an Air RB player but the rare times i play these i would probs just end up using whatever isn't being repaired at the time.
1 ton bomb fighter-bomber best
Personally already new this stuff but great vid havnt seen one like it
Thanks!
beautiful video, i don’t play as much war thunder now but with this video it’s given me the urge to play a bit again
Thank you :) Be great to have you back! Recent changes have made the silver lion economy SO MUCH better :) A lot of positive changes still to come this year
Nice vid just good overall, I didnt think of using heavies after the other tanks in a upteir! Thx for the tip
No problem 👍
Man I loves your style of informating couse it s SO FOKING SMOOTH
Thank you sir! Appreciate the positive feedback :)
A good lineup is often what a lot of war thunder players lack the higher you go unfortunately. It's Keeley felt around 10.0 where alot of premium players are. Dosnt help that a lot of ground players neglect their air tree
100% - it can get worse at top tier as it's almost impossible to buiuld a lineup alongside a top tier premium if you are new. I wish gaijin would give new players "extra spawns" like they do with the israeli sherman - so they can spawn multiple times in a match .
I am introducing something like that. It may take them awhile though
Yeah, I've personally gotten to 5.7 in 2 tech trees and still have no planes
I dont have any planes in my line up due to being severely obsolete at 3.0 while my ground is at 6.7
@@cbsboss6294 people might hate me for this but… I suffered the same issue. I’m not an air RB player so grinding planes in ground RB is so slow. The thing that helped me grind was a premium aircraft / talisman. I think that investing in a good CAS air craft at a tier you enjoy and play regularly ( especially during the GE sales ) can really help you make a dent in grinding the air tree. For instance, I bought the P47 for Russia. And it allowed me to play a meaningful role in mid tier matches and grind out the beginning the tree slightly faster. This isn’t for everyone I know, but if you can save some gaijin coin from a crafting event and then buy a plane during the sales - it can be done relatively cheaply.
Sometimes swapping the light or TD with a fighter isn't bad, counters cas and you might be able to bring a bomb along with shooting at lighter targets
Yes sir. This was just a ground vehicle guide. Planning on an aircraft one soon. Good tip!
Thank you, I never thought of this, u just gave me 20 years worth of knowledge in 1 video, I'm going to go change my line up now❤❤❤❤
Haha, you are welcome. Glad it helped :)
Great video as always, I was just wondering if you could do a lineup video similar to this but for the British at 6.0 (With my favorite the Cent Mk 1 :D)
Thank you sir! Gland you enjoyed. The issue with the Centurion is exactly this. It doesn't really have a strong lineup around it. There's the Ratel for a light tank - which I don't rate very highly and there is the black prince premium which is very situational. I think this is actually why I don't play it very often due to the lack of lineup. However, this might change when I get the Cent MK II from the battlepass, which is 6.3 AFAIK. I could then get a bit of a lineup with the Mk I & Mk II, skink, spitfire, Lancaster MKIII (for that huge bomb!) and throw in some of the derp/ratel extras too. :)
@@tankonaut Thanks a lot my friend! Your channel in my opinion is the best of the best
@@tankonaut Is it alright if I ask for one more tank guide? If so can you do a video on the British 7.7 bully, the mighty Conqueror Mk II (If you have it unlocked that is)
Preach brother. I'd like to add my own perspective to this. I had a designated crew slot for everything which I keep consistent across all lineup BR's and nations. This allows me to take advantage of the rp for ace crews and of highly skilled crews in general. The first is always a plane as I was first an airman in warthunder (still am). Second is for Mediums*/ heavies, 3rd for Heavies*/mediums, 4th for anything except SPAA (usually TD or light tank occupy this slot), 5th only SPAA (also usually has high level gun targetting skill), 5th optional GE slot is for a backup/wildcard tank. E.g. USA 5.7 - AM-1 mauler, M4a3 76, m4a3E2, m18 hellcat, M42 duster, M36B2 (HEAT-FS wildcard). USA 7.3 - F3D-1, M48 patton, T32, M47 patton, M42 duster, M56 scorpion. Consistency
Very nice. I love the consistency you apply to it.

If people were *tactical* and worked in *pairs* it would be a completely different game. Tiger users are no worse than any others. Watch the mini-map and it becomes obvious: 80% of players on both teams play DUMB e.g. whole team moving in column directly to cap.
As a seasoned player, although some tanks like the m51 are labeled as medium tanks they are better played as tank destroyers. Remember, always build lineups with how the vehicle is played not what it is listed as
Great advice!
Me: *chilling on BR 5.7 but having T-80UK from squadron knowing absolutelly nothing about the line ups.*
As long as you're having fun do what you like ;) However, yes, building out lineups early can make your games much easier to win, and give you more SL in rewards. I skipped a lot of lines/vehicles when I started and then was forced to go back down the tech trees. I was genuinely surprised how much fun a lot of vehicles I'd skipped can be :) There are so many interesting and unique vehicles in the WWII/Post War eras because so much experimenting was happening back then. I now LOVE playing Tank Destroyers, even when I skipped them initially.
@@tankonaut Thank you. You are first who is not hating me for not building line ups. ❤️
Soviet aa and anti tank are not fun at all until r 3 or 4.
@@Inficek2000 I'm sure every new player did it, I know I did, but do build line ups and plan TT research

I generally ignore having a mix of Light, Medium and Heavy tanks. I usually try to have a fast tank paired with a armoured tank, but it doesn’t necessarily meaning I have a light tank paired with a heavy tank, just something is a high speed potential and something with good frontal armour
u need to setup ur slot tho, like each slot will dedicated to a class, for example in swedish tree i have 1 slot for tank destroyer,1 slot for medium tank,1 slot for either medium or light,1 slot for anything and last slot for anti air
Why do you need dedicated slots for anything other than aircraft?
@@russman3787 well im a swedish main, swedish CAS is not particularly interesting, beside my pc is weak,if u want an aircraft sure replace one of the slot with it

Dude, you're spitting facts in every word! True German.
Haha thank you sir!
Appreciate the use of synthwave here, it weirdly works!
haha thank you sir!
Do you have any tips on positioning? I feel like I always end up in awkward places on the map and just get one shot from some random angle.
Hey thanks for your comment - yes this is one of the biggest parts of the war thunder learning curve. I really like the idea but it is more complex so let me have a think - the hard part is trying to explain things in 60 second shorts ;)
Yeah, yeah. But i still kinda prefer Playing with one vehicle
Obviously play the game you want - but staying in the match and pushing for a win will generally get you a lot more RP and Silverlions. I also find it to be more fun to see a battle through to the win! or loss ;)
Sadly it's really like that most of the time. (except with boats)
Especially in Naval, by the time i die once the match usually ends.
In tanks it's either-an uptier -spawncamping -just an all around sucky team half the time so it's rarely worth respawning.
Plus someone caps and the match pretty much is already decided and ends under 2 minutes.
Air RB also got really short, sometimes by the time i'm waiting out spaceclimbers to leave the altitude i'm flying the match already ended before i get to my first bomb target when i bomb.
Not even bothering with planes that need sideclimbing anymore, only ones i find useful are the Do335-s and some BF-s because they can keep up with the climb rates of what they face most of the time.
as a experienced player (4k hours)
i can confirm that this is a good guide.
dont rush a certain line
Thank you sir. appreciate the feedback.
In my linups I like to have two "normal" tanks, two "gimmick" tanks, and one air related vehicle (AA or CAS, but I generally dont like to bring planes in the GROUND mode)
In my german 6.7 for instance I have the two Tiger IIs as normal tanks, the Ferdinand and Jagdtiger as gimmicks and the Ostwind II as the air related one
For russia 8.0 I have two T-54s as normals, the BTR-80 and the BMP-1 as gimmick and the ZSU-23 as air
I think this is a very nice balance, you have two all round ""MBTs"", can be a heavy or medium tank, two vehicles that are less flexible, more situational or even quirky in its own way, and one vehicle to deal with CAS.
Sounds like a nice mix :)
“Tank destroyers trade their mobility to get good armor and firepower”. Meanwhile Nashorn’s armor
Heh, yes that last comment isn't always true. Some TDs definitely dont get the armor, BUT they nearly always get the big boom gun! ;)
Great tip!
Also, ngl, after I saw this, I realized that my lineup is just what my top 5 "current highest BR" Tanks. And I have no SPAAs in the lineup, except for italy, bc I have the R3, for the rest, I just rely on their mounted MGs for attacking approaching air units.
:)
I have been searching for this video for a while now, thanks!
Glad I could help!
@@tankonaut Can you now do that with aircrafts and naval ships? Or do you have that video already?
This is pretty good advice, but lets be honest, tank-for-tank, Panther is arguably a better heavy than the Tiger even though its a Medium. I'd say a batter example would've been Churchill and Cromwells, or maybe T-34s and KV-1s, where the differences are much more pronounced. Germany is pretty unique at that BR in having Mediums and Heavies that are weirdly similar.
Yes, I agree. The principles remain the same but potentially could of been better illustrated with other nations.
Thanks a lot you got a sub
Last week i was still in financial crisis and today i walked it off btw you're good at the game
Thanks for the sub! Glad you got back in the positive SL :)
Pretty cool indeed. I often also have an extra slot for fighters just in case there's a lot of aircraft in the match.
Nice. Yes, I now try to have a fighter as well in all my lineups for the same reason.
This music ROCKS!! 🗿🔥
:)
I recomend to Focus on Panther A, since Panther D is a pain in the back.
The panther A is an amazing tank, but the panther D is 2 BR brackets lower at 5.3BR. Yes it has poor turret traverse but if you play it like a tank destroyer (see my video on it) its absolutely one of the strongest vehicles in the game for its BR. It can face 4.3BR vehicles and never sees the american or russian 6.7 lineups. :)
Another tip : Open top /lightly armoured tanks do best at the first spawn, since there's no CAS and you can reach flanks without being intercepted
Good tip! Yes, this is very true :)
I played Germany on precisely this tier alot lately. I altered my load out abit and I definitely earn more silver lion thx to this short 👍
Nice work! Glad it helped - these principles should apply to most mid tier lineups for major nations but the 5.3 german lineup is killer strong :)

Wow this is very helpful information. I never thought about saving my heavy tanks for late game. Thanks for the help 🫡
Happy to help!
Now I'd recommend if you absolutely can't use SPAA or CAS you add another medium or light, or if you spend extra GE do the same. Light and mediums should be the backbone imo, as they have the most use.
I agree mediums are definitely the workhorse of most good lineups :)
@@tankonaut i mean they have the most uses and are the majority of tanks, so it kinda makes sense
As a Russian main,comrade no
@@rendycoya what do you mean no. Lights and mediums are the most Universal tanks, sure Russia has more heavies, so use heavies instead as that's what you have
@@astronomicalgamer205 im talkin about aa
Tip : If you dont have CAS or Light Tank, replace them with lower BR tanks as emergency vehicles
Good tip
Me, a low-mid tier Swedish player: *wheeze*
TD, TD, CAS, AA, AA
Of course, 40mm AA, 40mm AA, current tier cas (currently murky moraine premium because it’s also good for air low tier), SPJ anti-tank, and the bt-42.
Medium game you can mix up your lineup, sure, but *never* make the mistake of slotting in the lago or the other 2.7(?) tank, the light one.
They have sabot, sure, but you don’t do a whole lot with it at 2.7 at only 37mm
Instead, keep using that lineup until you reach rank 4 or unlock the Ikv 103 (earliest heat-fi in the game woo)
Then, I would advise a lineup of something like (any order you like ofc)
Bkan - ikv 103 - cas plane (or, if you do not have a plane slot in your load out, a tank from the ‘imported’ right side of the tree) - current strv or the current ikv - spj (this one should have a permanent slot in your loadout, at least until you consistently run into mauses and tiger 2 h’s)
REMEMBER: swedens strength is *not* in blunt force tactics or tanking. It is in sneakery, ammunition advantage, ruining the day of mid-light tanks early game and crushing heavies late game, and unmatched firepower. If you want to play with blunt force and unmatched tanking, play Russia or Germany.
Germany has a low skill requirement ;)
thank you i have been struggling on WT because i play without no one guiding me so thank you for this

If you have one you could put a dedicated "sniper" in your lineup some drawbacks would be how map dependent they are

I did one a while ago but want to redo it. So yes, this is on my list of vehicles to do a video on :)
Whenever i'm playing Germany the Sturer Emil rarley ever comes close to Jumbos, as most of the the Tiger H1 has enough power to tank it out, Cannon Barrel or Right side of the cannon, alongside the MG Port

Hi! Great video once again, thank you for the tips and tricks. They really help me
Glad to hear it! This approach really helped me win a lot more games :)
@@tankonaut Can you do a 5.7 lineup for Germany? With Panther, I don't really know what is the best to add. Maybe a Jagtphanter and having a slightly difference in the br?
Swapping out the Panther D for the VK gives you a vehicle as fast as the Puma, with a panther cannon. You'll reach objectives faster than the enemy can, flank quickly, and punch any tank from the front.
That’s a nice suggestion.
Not a bad idea tbh. Tho you can't scout and the proto Panther can't exactly take a hit, it can def work
@@icy3-1 I find most people know where to shoot panthers anyways, so if they go for the turret you have a second chance at life in the VK. And most people shot-trapping your panther will kill the VK anyways. I've shrugged a few hits, not a ton but a few. I used to only play the Pather D but now I've gone VK only and it's disgusting.
I’m going to definitely give this a try. I kind of overlooked the VK because it loses that incredible front hull, but you’ve definitely given me some good inspiration to play it more
@@tankonaut You're definitely going to find the new way to play panthers, that's for sure!
The stock grind on it is relatively okay, after parts and FPE go for horizontal drive and then push all of the mobility upgrades, as it's about as fast as the Panther A stock, but will be much faster spaded. I use it as a brawler and a flanker, and it's always my first spawn for sure. When playing the Panther D I found myself using the armor more than the maneuverability, relying on being able to shrug hits rather than avoid them. Once I swapped to the VK and started rushing the objectives, I always found a plethora of targets at range that DIDNT know I was there until the second tank died. For most maps, you can make it PAST the line of objectives into a flanking position before the enemy makes it two thirds of the way to the objective.
If you'd like to get a few 5.3 matches in lemme know, its my favorite lineup to run :)

Enjoyed your video. I have an idea for mext one, maybe how to shoot with binoculars? I saw one clip in your video, but i gave no clue how to use it in real battle xd
Awesome! Yes! Great Idea - I am keen to put this video together :)
@@tankonaut That's amazing, looking forward to see it ;))
Finally a good tank quide
Thank you sir! Appreciated
That M36 you killed with your Panther... Guy definitely had a death wish xD
Heh, yes so many people say “I’d just shoot here or there and kill you” but that is a classic example of real gameplay. When facing tigers and panthers people panic fire - I saw exactly where he was gong to shoot and angled slightly to bounce his shot. If he’d aimed properly his amazing gun could of disabled me. :)
Honestly, I think that the heavy/medium/light can all be interchangeable depending on how you play the game or what you're best at.
Yes, I agree - what I suggest though is that it's often better to take a mix than all the same type of vehicle - as you get spawn cost penalties.
A First Spawn SPAA while playing a NATO Country at 11.0 can also be crucial to stop any Ka-50 rocket rushes. The same can also be said at for USSR to stop Apaches
Very true.
Not sure if a tactical bomber would be my first choice for CAS (personally I always take a fighter with some ground pounding capability and a strike aircraft with me into battle) but overall great video!
Yes, I think your suggestion is good. If you just have one CAS spot, a fighter bomber would be the most flexible :)
Having one of everything in a lineup is very satisfying.
also effective! ;)
I just started doing this because I just wanted my line-up to be more organized, not far any strategic reasons
nice - hopefully it works out :)
Always use lighter faster tanks up first, but dont throw them away. Get as many kills as possible. Then go for the heavier tanks when the enemy has AAA or lighter tanks
This is good advice - especially in uptiers
The Puma stays Viable for sooooo long!
Right'? Such a great vehicle :)
Absolute CULTURE song choice.
Haha. Appreciated
Still loving how L3 is a tank destroyer
XD
I actually bring the Nashorn instead of the Puma due to the amazing firepower and excellent scope, coupled with actually very good mobility, so it’s great for sniping on long-range maps, which is similar to the role the Puma plays, only the puma flanks and he close while the Nashorn can defeat tanks at range.
100% mix it up as you see fit! This is just a set of principles than a rule :)
Thanks man i didnt know witch one is medium oro heavy❤
No problem 👍
Very informative indeed, but I have tanks from tier 3 and God know for what reason I unlocked IS 1, and none of the matches after that I could get a kill. So I had to research the one after KV zis 5 with T34-54, KV1 (Research completed) T34-85, a tank destroyer, Pe2 and P47. That's my line up now
Glad it was useful. Different BR lineups are fine - but you need to be aware of some of the challenges. Heavy tanks are probably the worst at being put into higher BR lineups. For example your T-34-85 at 5.3 or 5.7 the KV1-ZiS 5 will be a bit more challenging to play because heavy tanks already struggle in uptiers. Light tanks, TDs, and some mediums are fine to move into higher BR lineups because they don't depend on their armor so much. Just something to think about as you build lineups :)
Since im pretty much just starting 7.3 in germany my lineup is spz bmp1, leo 1, marder a1- i also have the wiesel in my lineup but i only use it for the small maps to camp and scout on
Nice. Sounds like a fun lineup
You have earned a sub, content is amazing 👍
Much appreciated! Glad you enjoy the content :)
Depending on the map. I usually chose light tank first or medium tank first to capture the point. Tank destroyer and heavy tank I would choose second depending on the situation. However sometimes I just go heavy or medium at the beginning, it sometimes works.
Yes good strategies!
I usually go with Tanks that can take a beating. I tend to Break through the defenses and push them back If there is a better spot that I can protect my teammates and myself
Fun fact in hier tier you would rearly find a player who is showing his side most of the time they are angled or shows the front
Looool you litterally have the exact same setup just exchange the ju188 for a stuka 😂😂😂 love ut
:))
Don't forget fighter. Plays the same role as SPAA more effectively but more expensive.
Yes sir! I want to do a separate video on planes but good point!
With a good line up we also need some skills to making good stuff in the match in case there good players on the enemy team or get uptiered (Tiger 1 meet the IS3/IS4M💀)
Yep, skill will always be needed no matter how good your lineup. However if your tiger H1 or E variant is being matched with IS3 or IS4M your lineup might have an issue - you may have a higher BR vehicle mixed in with the tiger. The maximum BR they should see is 6.3/6.7 respectively. HTH
@@tankonaut that right. Except the part that I’m the one who play IS3 and IS4M, somehow match with tiger 1 and panthers and I was-uhm-do a little mascara
As a Italian main at 5.7 having to deal with all those heavies and not being able to obtain any it brings jealousies into my mind xD
Ah I feel for you sir. However, as soon as you get to 6.3-6.7 you start getting the swarm of HEAT firing go carts that terrorize heavy tanks! ;)
Me too but ……………R3 brotha what u mean they are scare looking on them bushes 😈
Great video and tips!! I have one question tho, should you play rb or ab?
Thanks - depends entirely on what kind of game you enjoy. My friends and I only play realistic because we can’t stand the markers that highlight where every enemy is in AB. Personally I just don’t feel there’s any tension or suspense when you can see a marker showing you where the enemy is. Some people obviously enjoy this playstyle and the faster pace - it’s really down to personal preference :)
Thanks!!
Sherman, Sherman, another Sherman, Cromwell, Churchill
Ah lovely shermans! :)

Haha. Thank you sir! Yes, especially in uptiers a good tactic is to take the heavy late game once those bigger / heat firing tanks have died off a bit. Appreciate the positive feedback :)
Germany (5.7/6.0) only need 3 panthers, and a good cas such as Do-335 B2. You'll pretty much perform consistently, and sometimes, mopping up the enemy team
I mean yes you can do well in just panthers but you get penalized for spawning in the same vehicle class - so if you get revenge bombed etc you can be knocked out of the match. Also, I love panthers but just playing the same tank repeatedly is a bit dull imho
Ah CAS my favourite part of the game, yep nothing beats casual air support
"Fly casual" ;)
Is it just a me or when you get to the Panzer M and you start researching the tiger tank it’s a living hell to get it
It's because the rank change - and so the tiger takes more points to research. It keeps getting harder as you go up the tree :/
I don't have luxury to hold 6 vehicles. I have to take out one of those and it's always either SPAA or TD.
I totally hear you - this is more basic principle than a necessity. However, uou should be able to get 5 crew slots with just silver lions (free). If you have CAS, light tanks pair well with it so I would just rotate your last slot, changing the TD for a heavy for example as you prefer :)
I would love to do this the part of the Swedish tree I’m on has no heavy tanks or tank destroyers which is great
