  • Travelling through the Karoo National Park was amazing and driving up Klipspringer Pass which is located in the park revealed incredible views. Getting out of the vehicle to check out the huge gorges which have been formed over thousands of years were simply spectacular. Remember there are lions in this park, so only get out of your vehicle at the demarcated areas and you do this at your own risk. We unfortunately never saw any lion. #dustbugs #travel #southafrica #offroad

Loved this video guys. Great scenery! With the shots of wildlife, is perhaps possible to zoom in much closer? Would loved to have seen more detailed shots! However, I absolutely appreciate your videos and taking us in these journeys with you. Otherwise we would not have been so fortunately to see those spectacular areas of our beautiful country.
Many, many thanks for the great effort and time you both put into these videos to make us South Africans aware of what is available for travellers and viewers alike.
    Happy travelling.

Very happy that you enjoy our content. We love every moment of putting the videos together. The question about zooming: That is a problem. My equipment has only wide-angle capability to make the shots very steady when moving, otherwise there would be a lot of shaking go on. Because of that I had to compromise on the zooming side but I am thinking of getting more equipment which could solve that problem, but this will take time.

Been there a few times, last one was April 2022. Very nice park and yes those tortoises are enormous. And the sound they make when they are mating...

I can imagine the weather is great in April, it sounds like a good time to go.👌We love it there! The atmosphere in the camp and campsite is amazing. We're never really super lucky with game viewing there, but the giant tortoises in camp totally made up for it! 😁🤩

The view was spectacular would of liked to see the animals closer but that only makes me want to go and see myself.

Did that whole tour one year, starting at the other end in Fonteintjieskloof. Total magic. Those tortoises...ever seen them mating? Hilarious!

One could literally spend the whole day in and around camp and still have an amazing time. We haven't seen these specific ones mating, but were fortunate enough to at 'Wild Rescue' between Riversdale and Stilbaai. They make the most interesting sounds during this activity. 😁🐢

The klipspringer stamps as a warning sign. Both to you to keep away and to other klipspringer that there's danger ie something unfamiliar.
All sheep and goats do it too.. even horses do it :)

😁 We've never been lucky enough to see lions in the Karoo National Park. We're just as scared of them as you are though, so won't ever take any chances around any wild animals, especially carnivores! 😨🦁
