- Wade Wilson was sentenced to death for the murders of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz. Wilson strangled both women in Cape Coral - running over Ruiz to “make her look like spaghetti.” During his sentencing hearing, Wilson said he would not make a statement Tuesday, but rather “when he is back.”

For the ones where there is no doubt that they did the crime, absolutely. But, there have been people let out of death row for a crime they didn’t commit. It’s rare, but still happens. Idk how someone gets sentenced to death when they’re innocent, since the death penalty should only be when you’re 100% certain they’re guilty. The justice system is an odd duck.

@@MrKP525the attorney, in these types of situations where the defendant is indigent, is a court appointed attorney and gets paid by the government. Unless they hire a private attorney who would need to get paid by defendant but 90% of persons on death row are indigent.
The 6th and 14th Amendments guarantee indigent defendants the right to have an attorney appointed , at the governments expense, if they are charged with a serious crime.

Notice how he put out a request through his lawyer to transfer him to Death Row as soon as possible. He's now in general population. He is very aware that he is not safe there, and probably prefers Death Row.

@@marcust123 I ran across another video on RUclips where a guy in touch with some gang members in jail told him there's a "smash on site" order no matter what jail he lands in. Apparently he's claimed he's with a certain gang, of which he is not. That nazi symbol on his face is him trying to claim affiliation with that gang. There are other things also that put a target on his back. If he's on death row, he'll be all by himself in a cell, which means no contact with GenPop. So there's that. Of course, things "happen".
