I hope you read these comments mr. Crockett you had the best wrestling there ever was or ever will be and don't let them play it down brother
I've been waiting on someone to interview Jim Herd.
Jim Herd was and is a huge failure.
NWA was real wrestling, Jim Herd killed the NWA
Should have given Ric 3 million and stayed old fashion NWA 6:05.
I remember watching The Rise And Fall Of WCW DVD And Kevin Sullivan said that Jim Herd was like Napoleon he wanted to tell guys what to do what to say and how to run their character.
That's basically a good description of Herd by Kevin Sullivan. Jim Herd should have stayed with Pizza Hut.
Wait, Conrad was able to do an interview with Jim Herd!? Wow, I need to find that!

@@wa2k99 Thanks for the tip, buddy! I saw the trailer here on RUclips, it looks pretty interesting for sure.
He was on Meltzers radio show 10-15 years ago for an interview too.
@@Ycjedi Meltzer, the guy that knows everything about everything and some...or something like that 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Mon-ey Mon-ey Mon-ey Mon-ey Mon-ey Mon-ey 💵💰
I remember that crazy cage match. That was a crazy one. I don’t understand why they didn’t have the match as a main event
Oil and Water is what it seem Jim Herd and Jim Crockett were.
Crocket is a super nice guy it seems
He is but had a really bad temper
I would only hit up Jim Herd's Carvery if my meal was served to me by Ding Dongs and/or a lumberjack with actual bears.
*"Dead-weight in Luger's hands!!! Dead-weight in Luger's hands!!!"*
Jim Crockett could have been President and CEO of WCW instead of Jim Herd
Jack Petrik was the main boss. He was the president of WCW andi oversaw the company for Turner. Herd was Executive Vice President and ran it day to day.
We've heard a lot about Jim Herd before, most of what we have heard, not good lol. But I never heard the "Navy guy" part before.
I could see where trying to run a wrestling promotion with a military style kind of order and discipline etc. would be problematic, to say the least.
Can you imagine trying to basically give Ric Flair or Jim Cornette an "order" and then expect a "SIR YES SIR!!" kind of attitude from them or most any of those other guys?! NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!
Upload that Jim Herd interview. Someone needs to interview Kip Frey, dont think he has ever been interviewed about wrestling.
I always thought the Frey reign ( for lack of better words was solid). Solid in ring action and a quality Clash/and PPV in early 1992. Or perhaps two PPV's because he may still have been in charge for Wrestlewar 1992.
Yeah Frey's brief time in WCW was good, the Clash in Jan 92 & Superbrawl II were good shows, I remember the TV shows being good at this time, think Watts came in a week before War games 92.
Why didn't he get back into commentary?
He wasn’t good at it. He even said it. He was bad but entertaining.
He was taken off TV as a comentator because his family wasn't in charge anymore.
Seriously so many blunders. Nwa/wcw could be said had better talent with worse management. Way to fumble a bag. Wcw should still be in business today. I’m super nostalgic for the crocket days. I was very young but what a way to grow up.
1:21 AP AP AP AP AP.
Jim "Turd" Herd
Jimmy lowered the boom but forgot to get out of the way
pizza hut man jim herd
That's right, he was running Pizza Hut first.
If I buy a failing company I wouldn't listen to anything you had to say either. Doing thing your way is what ran it into the ground.
Conrad's father-in-law
David Crockett?
@The Ninth Heart Conrad is married to Flair's daughter
Its Megan Flair
Turner should have just given the Crocketts a blank check.
Eventually Turner gave Watts, who was a total hard ass, a blank check. WTF?!?!?!
How do you figure Watts had a blank check? Watts was famous for sharply cutting costs the minute he took power in WCW. He got rid of catering at TV and asked almost all the wrestlers to take paycuts or go to nightly deals. That's not the behavior of somebody who's been given a blank check of someone else's money.
@Matt-cr4vv Yep. When Warts was given the reins, he was told to just keep the losses to a minimum.
Jim Herd & the two Vinces; the worse things to ever happen to 'professional' wrestling!
well said
Crockett's were losers. Why would Turner buy them and keep them? Turner bought them to leave.
