Hector thought he was so cool by "forcing" Gus to move his product. And then very quickly, he lost control of his own product sourcing. He couldn't look past his anger and arrogance for five seconds to realize Gus was completely out-maneuvering him.
Lovely how Hector basically forced the product to be shipped through Gus, despite Gus not wanting to do so, and then finds out that he is now out of the game. I am puzzled how he lived that long, because in terms of acumen, he is clearly not the smartest.
Can anyone explain how Hector didn't have a stroke in this scene? He was beyond pissed at realizing his family had been made obsolete, and those pills he took were the sugar pills Nacho swapped out with his real pills. Hector should have had his stroke here, and yet he doesn't. Why?
Side note: it is really interesting that a lot of commenters here can't seem to recall this scene. I never watched it start to end, so I never saw it myself, and totally not judging...but just curious why this particular scene seems to have eluded some watchers of the show?
It is weird that Hector actor just died at 2023 or 2024, they were lucky to film better call saul with him still needed in the show but sometimes you are not that lucky , actor dies in the middle of the show and you get zero value out of your show.
Correct. Nacho's death scene (which arguably one of the best scene, if not the best, in Better Call Saul) wouldn't be as powerful if Hector Salamanca was not in there. That moment when Nacho poured all the shit from his mouth directly towards Hector

Actor who plays Hector is the nicest guy, speaks perfect English and is a super intellectual.
He was, may he rest in peace🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎
Why?
Heart attack pills usually take a few hours to work. He retains his composure after taking them and slow his rant.
And I have a contigo bottle!! Learned today what it really means 😂😂
Side note: it is really interesting that a lot of commenters here can't seem to recall this scene. I never watched it start to end, so I never saw it myself, and totally not judging...but just curious why this particular scene seems to have eluded some watchers of the show?
Not gonna lie, when I first saw this part I thought Hector was making that face to mock Gus, then realized he was having pains lol!
This is the exact moment that Eladio could sock Hector

I would love to be eating dinner, or even just reading a book, in a setting like that.
Nothing but the dark (and some ambient light) filling my eyes, and the rain filling my ears. ❤
I like how Gus brought only Victor with him. Victor probably could've manage Hector's two guards single handedly
The literal translation is beautiful
Hector realizing he’d been manipulated by Hector is beautiful. He breaks the phone and tells Gus “I heard you” trying to poke fun at Gus for trying to be boss.
Hector: Just ‘introduced’ himself to Pollos Hermanos to get Gus to be his mule, only after his front got busted
Eladio: The guy who knows what he’s doing will handle product
Hector: This is personal
Don Hector aka Senator Palpatine
What the hell I just noticed the fan and the those things at the beginning is the same stuff where lalo appears at the end to surprise Gus
That’s probably why he got a flashback. Damn this series is incredible
Gus, never a one to disregard a ventilation fan . . .
homeboy nearly transformed into a werewolve
Ace Ventura's landlord is real pissed
Hector needed a fidget spinner
Hector should have said "I Hear you" before smashing the phone
RIP Mark Margolis
Where was this scene?
Season 3 episode 9
The episode where Chuck falls into a table by his disorder
This is the moment that Don Hector turned into a blowfish😅
😂
D'EH BAWS CAN *SOCK* ME!!! 😉
IT IS PURPLE!
Cuando los manda a la chingada se parece a la voz del Chómpiras.
Only Hector and Lalo see through his bullshit. Other think it was only busness for him before it became too late.
Am I the only one that does not remember this scene?
Yeh right? wtf I don’t remember ever seeing this scene
The moment Walt became Heisenberg?
Pretty sure there’s no pill in existence that acts that quickly for any ailment
Imagine gustavos resentment n hatred building up having to be nice n subservient 😂😂
Esta es la ultima vez que hector habla con Gus
y la chingada con Eladio, con Bolsa, y contigo
Would this have been a bad moment to mention that Hector had been taking six instead of five?
You know, just for peace?
Rumor has it bolsa never knew if he heard em 😂😂😂😂
such a creepy thumbnail.
Hector throws 2 things on the table but there was just phone. So what was that?
Flip phones break incredibly easily, he basically broke the phone and tossed it in two parts.
Funny how Viktor is ALWAYS the most stonefaced of all the stonefaced gangsters.
Why should Hector care if they rely on Gus's trucks? He could have just shrugged and said "sure".
Lo más gracioso es que Hector tuvo la razón todo el tiempo
How did Hector not have a stroke here? It looked like he was having a heart attack when he turned around. But weren’t the pills already swapped? How was he fine?
