I had a relationship with a girl in my last year of high school. I really liked her, and she liked me too, though she suffocated me a little with her excessive affection. Initially, she seemed to like me more than I liked her, but being young and inexperienced with girls, I had never received affection like that before, and I ended up becoming emotionally dependent on her. When I started behaving this way, she changed drastically. She stopped responding to my messages, tried to avoid me, and finally started ignoring me completely without ever explaining why. A few weeks later, she was with another guy, a very unattractive one. I spent a long time without understanding what had happened and what I had done wrong.
A year later, I went with some friends to an event in the city, and she was there with her friends. I did it out of embarrassment, feeling intimidated by her, and somehow that seemed to bother her. Later, when I got home, there were messages from her on my phone. @RandyChatter I hear ya. Probably a good thing natural instilled sex drives in men or the species wouldn't continue. I only ask cause I once was on an anti anxiety medication that killed my libido. At first I thought it was a negative side effect but after a few months, I realized I was finally free. It was nice living without the constant urge to have sex. I was way more at peace and productive. The only issue is it made me not care about dating, finding a girlfriend/wife etc. So after a year or so, I decided to get off it.
