agreed i've played it for a few hundred hours and even tho it's not my main game i still come back with my friends once in a while to check out a new update and what not and it's one of those games that does the one unique thing that it does really well

Hunt has some of the best sound design of any game I've played. Also, if you do decide to keep playing, there's a massive new update coming next Friday with a new map.
Hunt in my opinion has the most fun combat out of any shooter and the best clutch plays. The gunplay is amazing. There are always a max of 12 players in a lobby. Hunt is also the hardest extraction shooter to be good at but is very addictive. Tarkov players are probably trash at hunt and don't enjoy it. The playstyles are different. Being slow is usually a bad call. You are competing to find bounty and usually have an easier time defending bounty rather than taking it. A lot of slow plays might just get you killed It's easier to kill a slow target. Being fast and quiet is the best way to play and also better than being an mmr 3 rat in a bush. Lightfoot is a great perk you should pick up when you get the chance.

I hope you keep playing hunt, and if you do, here are some tips! 1. Movement is your only armor: in multiple situations you stood still, crouched, or looted unnecessarily which often leads to your death. I recommend literally always moving and minimizing crouching as it makes you soooo much easier to hit 2. Stealth is important: sound traps and gunshots can be heard across the map so try to avoid those. Any type of movement can be heard a long distance away, so I prioritize movement over crouching while pushing. 3. Bring better gear: the economy in hunt is very generous toward players so don’t try to worry about losing too much. Bring helpful tools and equipment that complements each other. Bring a melee weapon every time and use it often, you will save a lot of ammo and time. I hope you keep playing this amazing game. DEFINITELY the best extraction shooter out there!
On the other hand, some of my favorite matches in Hunt have been matches where I just took a Derringer and yoinked people's weapons, just to laugh at them when they revive with nothing
To add onto point 2: _Everything_ in game makes sound. Crouch walking, switching weapons, reloading, recovering stamina, etc. and the sound is _very_ precise. Heck, shuffling in place makes a very small amount of sound, so crouching in a corner, spinning your mouse from one angle to another can give away your position. With a decent enough setup and average hearing, you can identify and shoot someone based off of sound only.

Insta looting players without looking for teammates haha it’s refreshing to see newer players learning the ropes with everyone just running around everywhere. Once you get into 5/6 stars lobbies it’s sweaty bush camping 😂 been playing since launch. Haven’t played a game with more intense firefights. The constant movement and repositioning after shots is like a game of chess. Slow enough to not feel like cod or bf and allow for tactical plays and positioning but fast enough to maintain a good tempo loop.
As someone who’s been playing for 3 years and has 2000 hours, there has never been this much hype for the games future. Love to see you playing my favorite game!

Hunt is an extraction shooter, it's just not based on Tarkov mechanics. A game doesn't have to be like Tarkov to be an extraction shooter. That's like claiming that Metallica is real metal music and Iron Maiden isn't. "You don't extract with anything in Hunt". Ugh. The main point of the game is literally extracting with the bounty.
Right, you also extract with the weapons/gear/traits you find along the way. Half the fun is going in with a cheap loadout and walking away with someone's spitzer dolch combo.
Tarkov looks nad feels like shit lol. Graphics are too much saturated and so ugly that I can’t understand someone can play that crap. Maybe is Tarkov better supported and have better servers, optimization etc. but Hunt is so much more unique and have so good art style for anyone who like dark, western, realistic atmosphere…

@@ghostrunner2138I sunk a good chunk of time into Tarkov earlier in the year and tbh it can be fun if you get into a good gunfight, but unless you've built up hundreds or thousands of game knowledge + good gear, you're not really gonna get them. The game is far too clunky and fiddly for its own good. Hunt by comparison has very little fat on it, and I've managed to get a good number of friends into the game, who don't normally like "hardcore" shooters.
The chat whining about the tutorial length is frustrating asf, glad you took your time and respected the learning curve. I can't recommend this game enough to anyone watching, and for you yourself to continue playing. Arguably the best gameplay loop of any FPS out there, top shelf audio, beautiful and faithful to life weapon animations, killer art direction, good music, there is just everything to love if you can get behind the unique arcade extraction shooter.
that's why I think this is easily better than tarkov. The game has consequences to your actions, but not ones so severe that you feel like you just wasted your time eveytime you lose
YES BOTH TO CROSS PLAYING THIS GAME AND MORE MARKETING FOR HUNT, I love hunt showdown so much and it’s gameplay loop is the most enjoyable of all extraction shooters. The issue with the “pure” extraction shooters is they all have the same boring grind at the beginning of picking of dog shit for a few runs and slowly building up, and have 0 incentive for players to move around the map other than looking for loot, hunts bounty is the objective of each match and there’s a clear path from the start of the game to the clue and also leads teams to fight, instead of just random mf sitting in a corner all game. Now this can still happen but it’s less frequent and less annoying with the lack of a prone button (which I am thankful for)
Glad to see you give Hunt coverage. They're doing a massive update this week, including a new engine and improved visuals. It will basically be Hunt 2.0. I encourage you to try it again in a couple weeks.
Hunt is a fkin amazing game, super unique and insanely fun when you understand the mechanics There is so much more to it than meets the eye And we're getting a huge update for it soon
Great job using the guns you've chosen, btw It will get a lot more fun when you learn the actual purpose of the guns, special ammo types(FMJ to shoot through walls, Dragonbreath to set enemy on fire, explosive rounds to break cover/doors and to check corners or finish off hiding enemy with splash of the explosion, and a LOT more) Tools like fake dynamite, blank bullets you can throw and they imitate gunshot on impact, traps of all kinds, choke gas making enemy cough and thus give away their position and having their aim shake when they cough. Heck, we don't even have to list different things you can use, you can keep going with same tool and talk about numerous purposes. Same old choke gas bolt I mentioned above can extinguish fire, make visual cover, be used as sound trap in doorway, instakill immolators quietly, quietly break lamps and windows(and that has purpose too!), create sound cover and so on. Just from the top of my head And then you learn how environment works, what ammo can penetrate which surface, how different barrels can explode and different ways to trigger them, how to trigger ai to make it chase and give away enemy position or how to turn that ai against enemy if there's an opportunity There is just so much and it's so satisfying to pull it off. It's a thinking man tactical extraction shooter(though has bows, crossbows, throwing knives, tomahawks, spears and a freaking glaive that can also shoot bombs and steel balls) And it also is kind of like rogue like with these perks that open sometimes completely new ways to play and handle situations, giving you new cool abilities(Ghoul, vigilant, witness, shadow leap) or just badass new ways to use same guns(e.g. fanning, levering) There is much more, and this game just keeps on giving There is a lot of unique stuff not found anywhere else and the setting is badass too. Tarkov is fun but overrated. This one is a real gem if you take time to learn it, Hunt is much more than meets the eye
I've been playing hunt since 2019, and its by far my favorite fps. But i had NO idea they got Geralt of fuckin Rivia to voice the new tutorial! Always good to see new hunters in the bayou!
If you ever play this game again a tip I highly recommend is using your melee weapon for basic pve like the average zombies so you dont waste ammo and more importantly time reloading your weapons
I want to make an important note that this game is getting completely overhauled and face lifted on the 15th including a new map. Probably the biggest update to date.
I've sunk over 1,000 hours into hunt showdown and still find nearly every match different and fun. It's my favorite shooter game I've ever played. With that said, I really enjoy it most playing with a group and my reluctant friends have surprisingly logged a few hundred hours with me since trying out the game. As a former destiny player who has enjoyed your content, I'm happy to see you try out this game as it can be one of the most exciting, unique shooter games to date and they continue to build on its core mechanics and release free amazing content. I got more than 1.500 hours in this game and its a masterpiece, such a unique game. Hunt Showdown is 6 years old now and the best part is that engine upgrade is coming next week, so the game has a bright present and future

Dude my heart was pounding on that last round. Insanely well played for your first rounds. Theres alot of stuff you will get down with experience. Gamesense is key in this game but damm you crushed it dude.
Hunt is probably my favorite extraction shooter of them all currently just because you don't feel pressured to minmax all the time. Sure there's the Nitro but the cheap Romero can kill just as easily if you play around the gun. Its very satisfying to wipe a squad with a single shot gun that isn't matched in many other games. Plus the wide variety of weapon variants allows you to try different takes on the same weapon (chainpistol my beloved). Can't give it enough praise from a gameplay perspective!

Hell ya, Hunt showdown is one of my fave PVP games. It has the best audio in any game i have ever played you can tell exactly where shots are coming form on the map by the sound allone
Been playing since early access. Believe me, there's nothing like Hunt: Showdown. Just don't get discouraged by the learning curve. Expect to die. Embrace the challenge like a horror movie. You will enter, you will die a horrible death, you will improve. Eventually your only real risk of dying will come from other hunters. The game is extremely fun.
I really enjoyed watching you play, and I hope you enjoyed hunt uniqueness when compared to other typical extraction shooters, I recommend y'all find fiends or family to play with in duos and trios. More action and crazy shootouts with clutch moments.

Glad to meet a new Hunt player! Picking up the Nitro from game 2 is pretty nuts, but VERY well played. In future use your melee tool (knife, dusters) to kill grunts and other AI to save ammo, you got away with it because you used a silent pistol, otherwise your position is revealed to everyone on the map

Hunt is the first extraction shooter I played before Marathon got announced and I adore it. Thats why I'm hyped for Marathon, the tension you get from those games is unlike anything in the FPS market. People need to be a little bit more open minded.

HUNT IS PURE CR4CK! I hated the first 20 hours and I have no idea why I kept playing it, but it is now one of my all time favorite games. It is unlike anything out there. I wish I started playing this years ago.
That is a ledgit strat with the spider. Throw a fire bomb and keep luring her back to the fire. It's safe and more importantly quiet. The spider screaming and running can only be heard within the compound. You can here a gunshot on the other side of the map.

Your chat giving you bad info about Hunt:Showdown. First thing First, Marathon was an Arena Shooter and this reboot it's an extraction hero shooter. Already chasing a trend. Secondly, Tarkov is a Milsim extraction shooter the emphasizes hoarding loot in the world, not gonna be easy to get into, trust me, but if y'all want something similar Arena Breakout infinite is more streamlined and better quality of life improvement than Tarkov. Lastly, Hunt: Showdown is hardcore but easy to get into, since the extraction emphasis is taking the bounty, in return you get xp and money, in addition, skill points, after your first successful extraction you have full control to customize your hunter loadout and their perks, you decide your play style base on your build. Your hunter becomes stronger each time they survive by completing quest and kills. Simple task for any newcomers. Hunt weapons are slow firing, clunky, and unique due to the 1800's weaponry and its prototype designs, mostly iron sights and sniper scope size, short, medium, and long.
Everything yes but don't play Arena Breakout: Infinite. It's P2W slop and went so far into copying EFT they even copied bad mechanics 1:1 out of laziness. I don't say any of this because I like Tarkov because that game sucked as well now. Especially after the last wipe and Unheard edition being a thing. ABI doesn't respect you as a player nor your wallet. EFT doesn't respect your time investment.
It's sad that The Cycle shutdown. I think Cross would've liked it the most out of all others. As a longtime Destiny player it's the one I took more of a liking to.

Hey Cross, I know it's not really a "shooter," but I would recommend trying Dark and Darker as well. it's a fantasy extraction shooter where you fight goblins, skeletons, giant bugs, ghosts, and all sorts of other shit. it is also a hero extraction game as it has the classic classes in common with D&D (hence the name). they've got ranger, druid, bard, fighter, wizard, warlock, barbarian, rogue, and cleric. they are still adding more content to the game, so that's all the classes they have so far. it's still in early access, but I'd say it's worth an attempt. probably the closest game to Marathon you'll find since it is a purely loot based game with unique characters and play styles. only major differences are the heavy melee focus and the unforgiving nature of the combat.
Hunt is the best in my opinion, don't get me wrong, it far from perfect. But Crytek with this one nailed very specific niche, it has old school FPS mechanics mixed with modern in the best way possible. There's so much depth in this game it takes you like 100h just to learn it on the basic level, you can have hundreds of loadouts, and strategies and almost infinite replayability. And adrenaline rush is incredible, after some clutches I feel like I'm really really high.
Really like Hunt's aesthetics, this gritty frontier Western style it has, and some of the DLC characters I've seen have great designs. Really have to hand it to the devs, they made a good game that looks great.
As someone as who plays hunt and tarkov, tarkov is more tailored towards people like me that enjoys realistic gunplay and in-depth weapon customization. But Hunt showdown is by far a superior game and is getting a big upgrade next Friday that will change a massive amount of the game and add a new mountain map
that's how I feel too. I don't like Tarkov, but I can see if you are really into the super realism and hardcore mechanics how it would be very addicting. Hunt may not quite be to that level in a niche, but for the general player seems way more fun and approachable.
On the 15th they are upgrading the game engine in a big update. Interestingly they are dropping the last gen consoles with the update. Something i suggested for d2 a while back.

I love Hunt! Me and a couple other friends have been playing on and off since the beta, it's a very underrated game and it's a ton of fun. It can get pretty sweaty, but the MMR system actually keeps the matches pretty well balanced. I've also played Tarkov since the beta, and I have a love/hate relationship with it. It's pretty slow and hardcore, but very rewarding if you put the time in to learn it. The hate comes from how difficult it is and it has a cheater problem.
yeah but in hunt unless you have a riridulously expensive loadout it's never a super big deal. You make peace with the fact that you are rarely gonna last more than 3 games in a row regardless what loadout you take
yeah hunt is very relaxed but in others it can suck when it happens, not to mention some do resets every now and then to level the playing field/reset the grind

yeah I have to agree that's why I like it. Just take the free hunters and be casual basically no stakes if you want, but you can always crank it up if you want. Tarkov on the other hand I feel is the weaker game because there really is no avenue for casual play. Every single aspect of that game takes a lot of time and effort.

Happy to see you gave one of my fav shootr a fair shot. The game defo gets your adrenaline going at times. Hope to see more gameplay with the August 15th update!!! I feel like in terms of understanding the game its the least exhausting ones out of them all and the one that pretty much allows the most "mess arounda and find out" gameplay, 99% of all weapons and loadouts are usefull and fun in their own way. I think the sweatlords come with pretty much all extraction shooters, but I feel like the Hunt is the chillest one. Its an unique timeline, you aren't armored up to the brim, simple and easy gunfights with mapknowledge. Also for 21:06 - yesn't, bosses can be killed SUPER fast if you know how to, each one has bunch of weaknesses. Unless they changed that, if you are the one finding and killing the bounty, get a SHITLOAD of XP for your bloodline, unlocking more weapons, perks and equipment. More than usual. The whole camping at extraction used to be major issue with Hunt thats the reason they added this orange fog thing in the Dark-Sight when you have the bounty.
Should have waited till the 16th to play Hunt. Thats when the new update goes live: new graphics and major improvements to gameplay, sound design, and environment design. As well as 4k textures
I've roughly 700 hours into Hunt - Initially bought while the game was still in Early Access, years ago. Great game, even though Hunt has it's own fair of issues, it still remains one of my favourite PvP shooters. Ain't nothing like an intense shootout with multiple teams while inside, or outside of compounds. Also, you may wanna melee the grunt monsters more than attempting to shoot them, or just straight up avoid them.
I've mostly given up PVP games as i've gotten older, but i make an exception for Hunt. Incredible game.

Hunt is an extraction shooter, it's just not based on Tarkov mechanics. A game doesn't have to be like Tarkov to be an extraction shooter. That's like claiming that Metallica is real metal music and Iron Maiden isn't.
"You don't extract with anything in Hunt". Ugh. The main point of the game is literally extracting with the bounty.
Right, you also extract with the weapons/gear/traits you find along the way. Half the fun is going in with a cheap loadout and walking away with someone's spitzer dolch combo.

Tarkov looks nad feels like shit lol. Graphics are too much saturated and so ugly that I can’t understand someone can play that crap. Maybe is Tarkov better supported and have better servers, optimization etc. but Hunt is so much more unique and have so good art style for anyone who like dark, western, realistic atmosphere…

@@ghostrunner2138I sunk a good chunk of time into Tarkov earlier in the year and tbh it can be fun if you get into a good gunfight, but unless you've built up hundreds or thousands of game knowledge + good gear, you're not really gonna get them. The game is far too clunky and fiddly for its own good. Hunt by comparison has very little fat on it, and I've managed to get a good number of friends into the game, who don't normally like "hardcore" shooters.
The chat whining about the tutorial length is frustrating asf, glad you took your time and respected the learning curve. I can't recommend this game enough to anyone watching, and for you yourself to continue playing.
Arguably the best gameplay loop of any FPS out there, top shelf audio, beautiful and faithful to life weapon animations, killer art direction, good music, there is just everything to love if you can get behind the unique arcade extraction shooter.

that's why I think this is easily better than tarkov. The game has consequences to your actions, but not ones so severe that you feel like you just wasted your time eveytime you lose

YES BOTH TO CROSS PLAYING THIS GAME AND MORE MARKETING FOR HUNT, I love hunt showdown so much and it’s gameplay loop is the most enjoyable of all extraction shooters. The issue with the “pure” extraction shooters is they all have the same boring grind at the beginning of picking of dog shit for a few runs and slowly building up, and have 0 incentive for players to move around the map other than looking for loot, hunts bounty is the objective of each match and there’s a clear path from the start of the game to the clue and also leads teams to fight, instead of just random mf sitting in a corner all game. Now this can still happen but it’s less frequent and less annoying with the lack of a prone button (which I am thankful for)

It will get a lot more fun when you learn the actual purpose of the guns, special ammo types(FMJ to shoot through walls, Dragonbreath to set enemy on fire, explosive rounds to break cover/doors and to check corners or finish off hiding enemy with splash of the explosion, and a LOT more)
Tools like fake dynamite, blank bullets you can throw and they imitate gunshot on impact, traps of all kinds, choke gas making enemy cough and thus give away their position and having their aim shake when they cough. Heck, we don't even have to list different things you can use, you can keep going with same tool and talk about numerous purposes. Same old choke gas bolt I mentioned above can extinguish fire, make visual cover, be used as sound trap in doorway, instakill immolators quietly, quietly break lamps and windows(and that has purpose too!), create sound cover and so on. Just from the top of my head
And then you learn how environment works, what ammo can penetrate which surface, how different barrels can explode and different ways to trigger them, how to trigger ai to make it chase and give away enemy position or how to turn that ai against enemy if there's an opportunity
There is just so much and it's so satisfying to pull it off. It's a thinking man tactical extraction shooter(though has bows, crossbows, throwing knives, tomahawks, spears and a freaking glaive that can also shoot bombs and steel balls)
And it also is kind of like rogue like with these perks that open sometimes completely new ways to play and handle situations, giving you new cool abilities(Ghoul, vigilant, witness, shadow leap) or just badass new ways to use same guns(e.g. fanning, levering)
There is much more, and this game just keeps on giving
There is a lot of unique stuff not found anywhere else and the setting is badass too. Tarkov is fun but overrated. This one is a real gem if you take time to learn it, Hunt is much more than meets the eye
I've been playing hunt since 2019, and its by far my favorite fps. But i had NO idea they got Geralt of fuckin Rivia to voice the new tutorial! Always good to see new hunters in the bayou!
If you ever play this game again a tip I highly recommend is using your melee weapon for basic pve like the average zombies so you dont waste ammo and more importantly time reloading your weapons
This is classic cycle for any new player
And MOST importantly....dont give away your position as easily.
Hunt is such an underrated banger with some of the best gunplay and combat encounters. 10/10 underrated and slept on game

I want to make an important note that this game is getting completely overhauled and face lifted on the 15th including a new map. Probably the biggest update to date.
I've sunk over 1,000 hours into hunt showdown and still find nearly every match different and fun. It's my favorite shooter game I've ever played. With that said, I really enjoy it most playing with a group and my reluctant friends have surprisingly logged a few hundred hours with me since trying out the game.
As a former destiny player who has enjoyed your content, I'm happy to see you try out this game as it can be one of the most exciting, unique shooter games to date and they continue to build on its core mechanics and release free amazing content. Cheers!
I got more than 1.500 hours in this game and its a masterpiece, such a unique game. Hunt Showdown is 6 years old now and the best part is that engine upgrade is coming next week, so the game has a bright present and future

I'm not a huge Extraction Shooter fan, but Hunt Showdown is easily one of the best I've ever touched, and is just in general an insanely good game.
Dude my heart was pounding on that last round. Insanely well played for your first rounds. Theres alot of stuff you will get down with experience. Gamesense is key in this game but damm you crushed it dude.
Hunt is probably my favorite extraction shooter of them all currently just because you don't feel pressured to minmax all the time. Sure there's the Nitro but the cheap Romero can kill just as easily if you play around the gun. Its very satisfying to wipe a squad with a single shot gun that isn't matched in many other games. Plus the wide variety of weapon variants allows you to try different takes on the same weapon (chainpistol my beloved). Can't give it enough praise from a gameplay perspective!

Honestly this was a great video and the Hunt: Showdown looked like a really awesome game and i never even heard of it before.
Been playing since early access. Believe me, there's nothing like Hunt: Showdown. Just don't get discouraged by the learning curve. Expect to die. Embrace the challenge like a horror movie. You will enter, you will die a horrible death, you will improve. Eventually your only real risk of dying will come from other hunters. The game is extremely fun.
it's getting it's biggest update in like 3 days with a new map I would highly reccomend looking into it
I really enjoyed watching you play, and I hope you enjoyed hunt uniqueness when compared to other typical extraction shooters, I recommend y'all find fiends or family to play with in duos and trios. More action and crazy shootouts with clutch moments.

Glad to meet a new Hunt player! Picking up the Nitro from game 2 is pretty nuts, but VERY well played. In future use your melee tool (knife, dusters) to kill grunts and other AI to save ammo, you got away with it because you used a silent pistol, otherwise your position is revealed to everyone on the map

Hunt is the first extraction shooter I played before Marathon got announced and I adore it. Thats why I'm hyped for Marathon, the tension you get from those games is unlike anything in the FPS market. People need to be a little bit more open minded.

That is a ledgit strat with the spider. Throw a fire bomb and keep luring her back to the fire. It's safe and more importantly quiet. The spider screaming and running can only be heard within the compound. You can here a gunshot on the other side of the map.

It's a great game, it's even better with friends. The game is about to get a huge update this week on the 15th, basically a 2.0 update for the game. Now is a great time to jump in, if you can get past the learning curve its one of the best fps games.
Your chat giving you bad info about Hunt:Showdown. First thing First, Marathon was an Arena Shooter and this reboot it's an extraction hero shooter. Already chasing a trend.
Secondly, Tarkov is a Milsim extraction shooter the emphasizes hoarding loot in the world, not gonna be easy to get into, trust me, but if y'all want something similar Arena Breakout infinite is more streamlined and better quality of life improvement than Tarkov.
Lastly, Hunt: Showdown is hardcore but easy to get into, since the extraction emphasis is taking the bounty, in return you get xp and money, in addition, skill points, after your first successful extraction you have full control to customize your hunter loadout and their perks, you decide your play style base on your build. Your hunter becomes stronger each time they survive by completing quest and kills. Simple task for any newcomers. Hunt weapons are slow firing, clunky, and unique due to the 1800's weaponry and its prototype designs, mostly iron sights and sniper scope size, short, medium, and long.
Everything yes but don't play Arena Breakout: Infinite. It's P2W slop and went so far into copying EFT they even copied bad mechanics 1:1 out of laziness.
I don't say any of this because I like Tarkov because that game sucked as well now. Especially after the last wipe and Unheard edition being a thing.
ABI doesn't respect you as a player nor your wallet. EFT doesn't respect your time investment.

Pretty much. Hunt is even one that I WANT to love, but extraction exclusively plays like the all time worst highlights reel of a battle royale game.

Hey Cross, I know it's not really a "shooter," but I would recommend trying Dark and Darker as well. it's a fantasy extraction shooter where you fight goblins, skeletons, giant bugs, ghosts, and all sorts of other shit. it is also a hero extraction game as it has the classic classes in common with D&D (hence the name). they've got ranger, druid, bard, fighter, wizard, warlock, barbarian, rogue, and cleric. they are still adding more content to the game, so that's all the classes they have so far.
it's still in early access, but I'd say it's worth an attempt. probably the closest game to Marathon you'll find since it is a purely loot based game with unique characters and play styles. only major differences are the heavy melee focus and the unforgiving nature of the combat.
Hunt is the best in my opinion, don't get me wrong, it far from perfect. But Crytek with this one nailed very specific niche, it has old school FPS mechanics mixed with modern in the best way possible. There's so much depth in this game it takes you like 100h just to learn it on the basic level, you can have hundreds of loadouts, and strategies and almost infinite replayability. And adrenaline rush is incredible, after some clutches I feel like I'm really really high.
Really like Hunt's aesthetics, this gritty frontier Western style it has, and some of the DLC characters I've seen have great designs. Really have to hand it to the devs, they made a good game that looks great.
My friend showed me this game once and was really excited about it and his sharescreen was just him camping one of the extraction points

As someone as who plays hunt and tarkov, tarkov is more tailored towards people like me that enjoys realistic gunplay and in-depth weapon customization.
But Hunt showdown is by far a superior game and is getting a big upgrade next Friday that will change a massive amount of the game and add a new mountain map
that's how I feel too. I don't like Tarkov, but I can see if you are really into the super realism and hardcore mechanics how it would be very addicting. Hunt may not quite be to that level in a niche, but for the general player seems way more fun and approachable.

Hunt is the only FPS I play anymore. It's the best balance of intensity and fun.
Hunt showdown is my favorite game as of right now, super fun high skill ceiling and no single match is the same.
I love Hunt! Me and a couple other friends have been playing on and off since the beta, it's a very underrated game and it's a ton of fun. It can get pretty sweaty, but the MMR system actually keeps the matches pretty well balanced.
I've also played Tarkov since the beta, and I have a love/hate relationship with it. It's pretty slow and hardcore, but very rewarding if you put the time in to learn it. The hate comes from how difficult it is and it has a cheater problem.

yeah but in hunt unless you have a riridulously expensive loadout it's never a super big deal. You make peace with the fact that you are rarely gonna last more than 3 games in a row regardless what loadout you take
yeah hunt is very relaxed but in others it can suck when it happens, not to mention some do resets every now and then to level the playing field/reset the grind

yeah I have to agree that's why I like it. Just take the free hunters and be casual basically no stakes if you want, but you can always crank it up if you want. Tarkov on the other hand I feel is the weaker game because there really is no avenue for casual play. Every single aspect of that game takes a lot of time and effort.

I feel like in terms of understanding the game its the least exhausting ones out of them all and the one that pretty much allows the most "mess arounda and find out" gameplay, 99% of all weapons and loadouts are usefull and fun in their own way. I think the sweatlords come with pretty much all extraction shooters, but I feel like the Hunt is the chillest one. Its an unique timeline, you aren't armored up to the brim, simple and easy gunfights with mapknowledge.
Also for 21:06 - yesn't, bosses can be killed SUPER fast if you know how to, each one has bunch of weaknesses. Unless they changed that, if you are the one finding and killing the bounty, get a SHITLOAD of XP for your bloodline, unlocking more weapons, perks and equipment. More than usual. The whole camping at extraction used to be major issue with Hunt thats the reason they added this orange fog thing in the Dark-Sight when you have the bounty.
Should have waited till the 16th to play Hunt. Thats when the new update goes live: new graphics and major improvements to gameplay, sound design, and environment design. As well as 4k textures
I've roughly 700 hours into Hunt - Initially bought while the game was still in Early Access, years ago. Great game, even though Hunt has it's own fair of issues, it still remains one of my favourite PvP shooters. Ain't nothing like an intense shootout with multiple teams while inside, or outside of compounds. Also, you may wanna melee the grunt monsters more than attempting to shoot them, or just straight up avoid them.
