How to create a hero with custom models in Warcraft III World Editor

- This another of my tutorial in warcraft III
Step by step tutorial
1.Open your world editor
2.Click the object editor or just press F6
3.Click the Create a new custom unit or just press Ctrl+Shift+N
4.Choose your unit/hero make sure you put a name like Blood Mage
5.Minimize Object Editor
6.Go to Import Manager
7.Right click and then click Import file
8.Choose your model you can download models in Hiveworkshop.com
9.Once you have chosen your model save your map so you can prievew the model early
10.Exit Import Manager and then go to Object Editor again
11.Choose your custom unit and then find Art-Model File it is there where you will change your model
12.Double click Art-Model File and then you can see the import tab click it and find your model once you find your model click ok
13.Then choose your hero again and right click and click Select in Tool Palete this selects your unit/hero atomaticly to the Map Editor put you unit/hero and done!
14.You are done now test it.

I made a map.
Me and 11 computer players. It is FFA (fun for all) type.
My problem is this:
I made some campaign heroes for me. But I also made campaign heroes for others against me.
Example: I made Cenarius and ILLidan for Night elfs. And Balnazzar for Undead.
They just DONT use them. They make non-campaign and use those but NOT campaign heroes.
How can I make them use campaing heroes?

Does it make sense to try this if you wanna try making a HotS character? Would the SC2 engine be better?

Is it possible to get human archer models? Or blood elf cavalry? I wanna make a custom mode of blood elves vs Humans.
Wanna make it like this. Blood elves defend against human forces. Hold off until reinforcements arrive. They have like limited resources and a small population cap, but with slightly stronger troops.
While humans have a base and must kill all blood elves to win.
Is this possible pls reply.
Ofcourse it is possible to get archer models you can browse in the Hiveworkshop for models :)

dude, u don't even have to delete "war3mapImported\" but the model still appeared on your map normally? O.o

Hilarious that blood elves are in human models. Also weird that their campaign is called "human campaign" although it is obviously not that.
Maybe it should be "human skin color" campaign

@@aquablizz8409 Like if I have tbh, they should have named it into the Alliance Campaign instead, since it really has both the human, dwarf and elven races together. As for the frozen throne alliance however, I think they only name that bc of the elven/naga pact.

I dont have models
I have a custom hacked file of warcraft 3. And it seems like the origin of models were on a different part of the file. Can't frickin find it because the models that appear when i check the file model in War3 goes to the hacked file i SQL injected with. fuck. I have no clue where is the original units folder file. Got any idea?

That only made a custom unit not a hero. I was switching between the death knight tab and the dk i made and the one made cant have hero abilities. Like this video got me in the right area- but it wasnt really a good tutorial.
How do you edit heroes skills like giving grom hellscream drunken brawler and firebolt
I know this is late, but you can do that by pressing the iron helm icon on the worldedit, you can see it has units, doodads, items, abilities, etc. Go to units, find orcs, and Grom will be there. After that go check his skillset, you can delete, modify, edit or add skills in any way ur imagination can put it.

you can rotate it by holding the control key on your keyboard you click on anywhere you want your unit to look. and select your unit ofcourse

Couldn't find the files and models folder.
you need to download your model's and then put them in a specific folder where you can find it. You can download models here www.hiveworkshop.com and please check out the Updated one with my voice in it so that you can understand and also do subscribe for more videos and tutorials like these......Thank You for watching!

Hmm if you just wan't to play just download in www.hiveworkshop.com there are a lot of custom game's there you can just press search and see what you need.
If you wan't to make your own custom map/game with model's I will surely show you how!
Ofcourse there is a more simple method that you can use. Just download custom game map with the burning legion race then export the Object Data and then import to you map! Ofcourse I will show you a tutorial in how you do that........

You never actually showed how you make the custom model, this is just a video on how to import your already created or downloaded models to your map.

I only downloaded a custom model for this one. I do know some of the steps in making a model but I dont know all of them. Go to hive you can see more tips there!
@@aquablizz8409 I know you can go to HiveWorkshop, its just their tutorials are kind of dated now. I was just checking the video out thinking that if I thought it was cool and interesting, I might teach myself how to make models from scratch in something like 3DS Max. :D
