@@paolodambruoso5249 Happened at 25. I started surfing at 9, I surfed a LOT. Paddling everyday for hours and hours with the neck looking up... It's such a weird position. I'm not sure why it got damaged, but yeah it's super painful, can't surf anymore. It's a massive blow since I finally moved to Hawaii lol. But I'm saving money to buy an e-foil, I should be able to catch some waves with that since I wouldn't need to paddle... Looking forward to that. But yeah the biggest mistake I made was that I kept surfing even when I was in terrible pain, I pushed through the pain for years. The brain remembers and will creates pain pathways and sends pain signals just to protect your neck from further damage... Interestingly my neck doesn't have any physical damage after doing an MRI. The brain sends pain just to protect it, not because it's damaged. It's wild...
