@MapothertheCityForager you should do a video on the lovi-lovi fruit (scientific name: Flacourtia inermis). Other names for this fruit is lololikka, batoko plum, governor's plum, scramberry. Many MANY lining the pavements along the small road opposite entrance to Jurong Lake Gardens, and also all over SG. Not many locals seem to know about its use so the ripe fruits just drop to the ground and are wasted. The fruit is very sour and even a little astringent when eaten raw (more sour than a lemon haha) but makes a delicious jam. Commonly used in Sri Lanka in the villages. Turns deep red when fully ripe but pink is ripe enough to make into pickles, or jams. Think 1 cup sugar : 1 cup berries.
