- After a year of trying to figure out what was wrong with 2003 SVT Cobra I finally was able to dismantle the puzzle and finally fix the idle issue with the car. I did everything I could in my power to fix this issue with no luck, from searching vacuum leaks to changing the TPS sensor and IAC motor. I'm happy to report that the idle issue is finally fixed. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments down below. Thank you for watching.

I need to make a terminator meet in Cincinnati, Ohio .. Such a cool idea getting terminator owners together
Don’t ever give up with your dream car, it’s almost always something simple when it comes to these cars…
Absolutely, it’s that little thing that you assume it’s almost impossible to be faulty.
@@TheMGChannel I get ya, but you gotta run down the list regardless right?? Anyway if you do ever want to let it go, -YOU KNOW THE REST- 🤣🤣
The good thing with these cars is their engine is very well built. It's not bulletproof of course...nothing truly is. But Ford built these engines with love and attention to detail. Usually whenever you have an issue it tends to be something minor and easy to fix yourself. This of course changes when you're pushing the engine to it's limits with 700+ whp and more but that's a given with any engine pushing much more power than stock.
I'm glad you're still loving the car man. I love your channel and all the time you put into your videos. I've had mine since 06 (2nd owner) and I'll never get rid of her.
Cheers from up North ✌🏽
That’s awesome owning your cobra since 06, I could only imagine the feeling of driving such a beast in the mid 00’s. Thank you for your support 🙏🏻 and yes I love the these cars, I wanna keep this one for a very long time.
Great video glad you got it fixed🐍🐍🐍
Glad you figured it out. I've learned a lot about using a wrench since owning my Cobra, I can thank the car for that. There is always a plus. Appreciate the update on the channel. 😍 Mine was doing this recently, I found the leaking vacuum hose. Been running great now.
Thanks brother! I truly appreciate your support 🙏🏻
Glad you got it figured out man. It’s always stressful when the car doesn’t run perfect. The moment its fixed, even your demeanor changes
I couldn’t agree more 🙌🏻
Glad you got it fixed man, appreciate the content and your experiences. Really wish I could join your cobra meets, have a lonely 04 redfire up here in northern Indiana. Keep up the good work
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
Defiantly know how you felt. I had a lot of drivability issues stemming from my throttle body after swapping to my VMP, I was at the point where if someone offered me enough I would have sold it. Modding Cobras can be frustrating when things do not go right but once the issues get ironed out and they drive as they should it makes it all worth it. Glad you were able to get it all figured out and squared away.
Thanks man! I didn’t know you also had issues with your throttle body, seems like something common on these cobras. I’m really glad the car drives like factory again, that high idle was so annoying.
@@TheMGChannel the oval single blade throttle body’s have a lot of sticking and drive ability issues but mine was resolved and it’s so much better now
You did it to the car.
Being by your side, watching the struggle, the headaches and frustration, I am so happy to know that our baby is back up and performing outstanding 🙌 I love you you so much and I’m forever proud of you ❤
Yes you have been! Thank you so much for everything baby ❤️ I love you 😘
@@TheMGChannel you need to adjust the voltage on the TPS to .98 and your car will stop doing that.
@@TheMGChannel pm me and I’ll show you how to.
It's definitely understandable how one can loose motivation from an issue like that but im glad you were able to fix your car and that it runs great! I really enjoy your content brother 🙌🏻
Thanks brother! Yes it was truly frustrating because I was a year trying to fix it, I spoke to the owner of the blower (Jerry who owned the blower and throttle body before me) and told m me he never had an issue, so I really thought I had screwed up somewhere lol
Very nice Video, I am glad you were able to get it resolved. The 99/04 Edge Mustangs have become my favorite and I have owned and been around Mustangs since the 60's. Good call on putting the Pony back in the grill area, the OEM look is by far better. Keep up the good work !
Thank you very much! I do enjoy the OEM look as you can see 😁
Glad you put the mustang back in the grill it has everything to do with the cars heritage and after all ford did give you a cobra right by your door to remind you every time you climb in what you got.
Nice videos buddy 👍
I have a 96 Cobra and its always at 1,000 RPM, I think I need to adjust it too.
So what was it about the ported TB that caused the high idle issue?
Still the greatest American Muscle car of all time, had a black 04 with low miles.
Very nice 👍🏻 it’s my all time favorite muscle car.
Smoke the intake if you think it's a vacuum leak
How much did it cost for you to port?
I have the complete opposite issue. Mine will drop rpm's sometimes very low for a few seconds then sit at about 700. Also when rev matching and just blipping the throttle it gives off like a sputter sound. I suspect it might just be a tuning issue. Spring time is when I'll get to it
I love M G for ever in my life ♥️♥️
Bro it's a high idle, it's not like you blew the motor, you wanted to sell the cobra over that? A little dramatic.
That bbk sucks you need to het a accufab
