I dont want to hear how Dross thinks he can fix their mess. He talks as if it's a brand new problem, and he's suddenly appeared on the scene like a knight in shining armour. He can do one. His masters caused the mess.

I thought this debate was supposed to be about what MPs can do in Westminster not what the Scottish Government can do. Only the SNP can reduce the number of Tories in Scotland.
Hi Hashbury, Ive said I dont know how many times that unionists would use devolved matters in the GE, clearly happening there is no mention that westminster only partly devolved tax etc but likes to pass on full responsiblity for it in the media.
But in many places it’s the snp vs labour so labour can reduce the snp mps

It's the lowest budget since 1997 levels...we can only work with the budget we are given...this year it is 3.5%....it is meant to be 8.5%

Sarwar it's your councils that have cut teaching posts,130 posts alone in June last year,within 4wks of taking ward,their equal blue tories as a result of co-op in councils across Scotland and tried close all amenities here in Bellshill!

@thefastandthedead1769 so would you disagree with the guy above? Because you can’t say it’s not snp councillors fault for cutting teachers because of austerity but then say it’s labours councillors fault.
And the snp has revenue raising powers so could try to raise more money to prevent that but hasn’t. It’s raised them on middle incomes around 30k who still can struggle but not the wealthiest.

@thefastandthedead1769 Scottish labour is still a thing even if it’s not a registered party. It’s an autonomous branch of labour.
And even if you think that isn’t true labour hasn’t been in gov for 14 years so how can you blame them or Sarwar for cutting teacher numbers but not the snp

And again labour isn’t to blame for austerity that’s come from the tories so ops comment can’t be true unless you also blame the snp councillors
At some point in this campaign John needs to ask Anas what would trigger a Labour Westminster government to grant another referendum. The SNP seem to miss so many open goals when it comes to highlighting Labour's distain for democracy.

Wow! I don't agree with most of the things that Lorna Slater says about so called "green" stuff but she was right on the money about the small packet of money called the block grant, she promoted the reasons for independence well, and what people don't seem to know is that, yes, the NHS is a devolved matter but we only get 10% of what England gets allocated, so when there is a cut in England, we get less here in Scotland, people need to be made aware of this. The block grant is the biggest that Scotland has had according to DROSS but is nothing compared to what Scotland sends to the treasury.
The bottom line is that when people move out of their parents house to live their own life, do they give everything they earn, everything, the lot, to their parents only to get a wee bit from their parents to live on, and told what to spend it on? That is what happens in Scotland.
Douglas Ross really has lost it. How can he stand there and say its a straight fight between tories and snp when he knows fine well that the tories will be decimated by labour. Even the snp will lose seats to labour.

If anybody there s not standing for election in a UK vote they are wasting your time. I am quite sure voters wish to hear from people who are standing and not localised politicians.

I am a Scot living overseas left wondering why it would not make sense for the Scottish people to vote for the SNP, to ensure Scottish people have a voice in Westminster, and for the SNP to form a coalition government with the Labour Party to form government if necessary? This way Scotland would get rid of the Tories, have strong representation in Westminster while also being able to hold a future Labour Government to account.
The last time the SNP helped Labour in Westminster, Labour shafted the SNP. The SNP withdrew their support, forcing a General Election, and Thatcher got in.
I seen there where a few plants in the audience again thats normal for the bbc debates at election times and steven Jardine allowed anas sarwar to much talking time and allowed the others apart from lorna slatter to gang up on john swinny having said that john was poor on the night and probably the worst performer on the night for me I think before the scottish elections in 26 we need to have change at the top in the snp party my dream team whould be Stephen flynn and Kate forbes working together in the chamber as a team working hand in hand and have Marie black as the leader in the house of commons for the snp that whould be a great team to get scotland its independence and tak us forward as a country and duglas Ross last night said that john swinny said that john swinny was not honest abought somthing and yet in the chamber he calls him honest john Ross need to make his mind up on this 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
