@@BeardsBrains Now you know 😁❤. She said in an interview that she was sitting in a bed and she just clicked at the "Runaway" video on RUclips and she heard the intro of this song and she thought: "That is what I want to do". I think that is amazing that one song let her understand that music is what she wants to do in her life. 😊
Aurora said in a video to not say that.... She hates it when people say that and the siblings did all the work and she was only a seed in that development of Billie eilish
@@ghenardinvento604 I know, I've watched it. That's why I wrote that "Runaway" *insipred* Billie, not made her music 😇 As Aurora said: It was only a tiny seed and they're a flower ❤
Aurora wrote the song when she was 11 years old, I do not think she had any idea that Runaway would have enormous significance given how the world came to be, think of all the homeless, refugees, alcoholics, drug addicts. All these people want to find a safe place to fall! The song is timeless and only a genius is able to make such songs
Any AURORA music video, or any versions of her live (especially at Nidarosdomen) are truly a gift. Enjoy AURORA! She's precious and rare, much like our earth.
She wrote the melody to the song when she was 9 and most of the lyrics by 11. She calls this song a gift to herself as she did not understand what it meant at the time but learned it’s true meaning to her as she got older and gained more life experience.
Ahhhh I love Aurora I’m loving ur reactions ❤️❤️. I think you’d like Marina and her recent music videos they’re very good lyrically and talk about society (purge the poison is very good for that)
Enjoyed your reaction! Really interesting discussion about the concept of home and life's journey! This song by AURORA is an early one, but the lyrics are deep, and deep lyrics are a hallmark of AURORA's songs overall. Her voice is mesmerizing, and from my standpoint she just pulls you in every time -- quite a storyteller! I recommend reactions to her live performances of songs like "Through the Eyes of a Child" (Nidarosdomen concert), "All is Soft Inside" (2018 KEXP concert), and "The Seed" (2019 HAIK concert in a forest). The music video for "The Seed" is also quite something!
This video was shot in Auroras backyard. This fjord behind her is "Lysefjorden" (Fjord of Light" near Bergen Norway...and can be seen from her window, as far I know. :)
AURORA's songs resonate quite well with one another. They somehow stand along the lines of just sitting with what happened to you in the past, what is happening to you in the present, and what will happen to you in the future. So if you liked this one, the other ones will be great too! ♡
I don't know how true it is, but someone said she used to spend a lot of time in the forest with animals in Norway. That explains a lot why she's so expressive and you can really feel her connection to everything. ❤️
fun fact about AURORA is that she is the “ethereal siren call” that appears throughout Frozen 2 if you have seen it! This is the calling Elsa hears throughout the movie :)
Aurora started playing music and writing songs (in Norwegian) when she was 6, and then in English when she was 9. She is a singer, songwriter, composer and producer. Her live performances are extraordinary. She is what you call a true emphat, very close to nature and down to earth, highly talented and highly intelligent, always positive and funny. She really does talk to her fans, whom she calls warriors and wierdos. She is an absolute free spirit. In the video (background is her homeland), she was 17-18 years old. Now she is 25. There is almost no song of her that I do not love. Aurora's movements are partly not rehearsed in their concerts. She is introverted and she shows her feelings through involuntary body movements. You can say that she doesn't dance to the music. Her music dances with her. See hates backtracks, that's why she has a backround singer. Everything about her and her music is real. You get what you see, whether on stage or elsewhere. Billie Eilish, she started her career because of Aurora. She was the trigger. Exactly this song. Next pls, if you like Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 by Aurora live Nobel Peace Prize Concert. A song about Euthanasia. Absolutely stunning performance.
Nature is very much part of the Nordic / Scandinavian state of mind/mentality. It's a big part of us who live in the Northern part of the globe. I'm sure there are a lot of reasons for it, but one of the main things might be that the changes in nature really controls our lives - the endless sun during short summers and the pitch black darkness for a large part of the year. So when the nature comes alive it has a big impact on us, we come alive with it, and also vice versa when nature starts to fall asleep and the darkness lands, we withdraw in our warm nests until we come alive along with nature again. For me as Finnish person this was just a way to be, and that is why I connect with Aurora so well. I never thought of it at all, that it was something "unique" in any way until I studied in Italy and it was literally pointed out to me how everyone who comes from this part of the world always references everything via nature. Like it's just in our psyche to related many things to nature. So I guess it's kind of inseparable from our spirits in a way. Of course people in other parts of the world might have very similar feelings but there is something that is very distinctive to Northern Europe. The conditions can be harsh at times, the seasons are very distinct, the winter is long and there's barely any sunlight, and in return the summers are bountiful of light and the contrast is huge. I think it plays a big role as in a way we feel and also makes us very aware how dependent we are on our environment, the important role it has in our daily lives. Nature also plays a big part in our spiritual lives as it's the place where go to relieve stress and experience a connection, with nature but also with ourselves.
You folks would like her live stuff. One of my all time favorite artists. And I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s with the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, Michael Jackson, Prince……..she’s atop all of them for myself. Live versions of “Through the Eyes of a Child” at NIDAROSDOMEN…..and the VEVO version are INCREDIBLE! And her performance of her three songs at the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE CONCERT are the best performances of any artists It was my introduction to her. Videos of “The River” and “Queendom” are very good and lyrics are Masterclass. Good reaction. Mahalo Much Aloha🎼🤙🏾
Brilliant! What an insightful breakdown of Aroura’s song and your interpretations of the message in it. You mentioned “going back in time”. I’ve only wanted to go back (Knowing what I know now) and have a “do over”. My parents weren’t the most present or involved but they were the ones I was given. My life would be extremely different. I know that time is past though reminiscing occasionally doesn’t hurt. It makes me thankful for the things that I’ve done and accomplishments I’ve garnered. Again, you’re both very insightful and I can’t applaud you enough.
Great reaction! Check out her Nidarosdomen concert.... It is mindblowingly fantastic.... Through the eyes of a child from Nidarosdomen is my suggestion. Fun fact: the video are filmed in her parents garden (Lysefjorden in the background), and the woods nearby. Aurora played a lot in these woods as a child. The actually used a bell to "call her in" for dinner 😂 The song was also written here in her childhood home, looking out on the fjord.
This was a very interesting reaction. I'm a musician and my listening efforts are always heavily in favor toward the emotions and intricacies of what the music is doing. This reaction was all lyric based. Very philosophical, no comment on the music. Makes sense with the channel name, but very different focus from my own listening tendencies. Great perspectives on the possible lyric meanings.
Great reaction guys!!! I really like how you analyze the lyrics and the music video. You should react to her live performances. I’d recommend Murder Song live at Nobel Peace Prize and Lucky live at Nidarosdomen. If you want to continue checking out music videos, some of her best are The Seed, I Went Too Far, and Winter Bird.
Finally AURORA!!! I've been hoping you would react to her music. Runaway was the song that inspired Billie Eilish to become a musician. Please try AURORA's live performances, even though her studio versions music videos are fantastic too! With her live performances, you really get her organic and heartfelt renditions of her songs that will send chills down your spine. For starters, you should try It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current), Through the Eyes of a Child (Live), The Seed, Queendom, The River, Running With The Wolves (Wolfwalkers Version), Exist For Love, The Secret Garden.
FINAALYY AURORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ! react to MURDER SONG LIVE AT NOBLE PEACE PRIZE ! dive into Aurora you won't Regret it ! i am excited because i was hoping that someday you would react to her !
More than a few of Aurora's songs deal with confronting one's own mortality. I think that's at least one interpretation of this song. During our time, we all keep running for a soft place to fall. Eventually, we all find it, and go back home where we belong. To heaven if you believe in that, or to nature if you don't.
This song inspired Billie Eilish to start a career and make her own music 😁😇
