The adoptive parents are great throughout this whole thing, and birth mom is brave to give the baby such opportunity. I wish my parents would love me this much
What a mature selfless and strong young women Dominique is. I cried nearly all the way through. Wonder Group of young people who achieved the best outcome for the child. God bless them all. 💖🙏
This amazing young lady is so strong and courageous! She loved her baby so much that she wanted him to have the life he deserves, even if it means breaking her own heart by giving him to parents that could provide him a better life than she could.
Love the birth mom’s humanity! I’ve had 4 miscarriages & 1 healthy birth. I think about all my babies & carry that weight that some are missing as I see our child reach milestones. She will miss her son but the adoptive parents seem like wonderful people & she’ll know her baby is ok.❤️
What a phenomenal thing to do. This birth mother has so much love for her son, so much courage I'm not sure I could have done this. Giving your son/daughter for adoption is the ultimate love, what an amazing gift!
Dominique, you are an amazing, strong, selfless, kind and incredible young woman. You have so much strength inside of you, I wish you joy and a wonderful life!!
It takes a birthmom to care more about her baby than herself to be given up to adoption. I’m adopted and blessed that my birthmom cared more about myself than herself, my husband and I also adopted after 10 years of doctors, IVF, and adoption agencies Of uncertainty. My beautiful daughter is now 25 and my husband and I couldn’t have made the perfection that god gave us through someone else. May god bless your son, his birth mom, and yourselves as parents ❤️🙏🏼
This is a beautiful story! My husband and I are currently in the process of adopting our 1st son. God has been in this story & and is now in our story as well. I see how God has beautiful ways of making families. I have had the privilege of knowing my son to be born son's birth mother & she has allowed me to be at every Dr.'s appointment and has also asked me to be there with her during labor. God is so good!
I was adopted many years ago. I’m so happy that Everett has such an amazing birth mommy and such amazing adoptive parents. It truly warms my heart. I wasn’t so lucky in either part of my life. But it’s so good to see happy endings do happen
What an amazing mother to love her child SO MUCH that she put her childs wellbeing above her own emotions. i am so so so happy for the adopted mom and im sososo proud of her bc its not easy at all
As mother I feel you and understand your emotions. Your so young and mature too also you chose the perfect couple to raise your baby bless your heart beautiful.
Such a brave, beautiful woman to choose life for her child. I've watched this several times over the years and am reminded anew of God's great plan for everyone involved. I loved how she knew she would never have regrets over choosing life but would always have regrets if she'd not allowed him life. What a gift.
I am not married but I want to be a father...I love to be calling a dad....not everyone can be a father but only a "papa" can be a father and *mama" to be a mother. Love your video
I know the feeling of getting my first baby. I felt so grateful for her mother. She refused to put her thumb prints on her birth certificate. Her mother came came to Brownsville from Mexico to have her. I tell them their mother grew under their hearts but I grew them in mine.
She is a wonderful mother who wanted to make sure her baby was going have a great life and future with two great people this made me cry happy tears because she was putting his life over her she be a great nom one day abd hope the family share stuff with him about his mom and she canbm be apart of his life
Prior to the 48 hours, they’ve already made an adoption plan. Also, before they sign they have lawyers counsel them and go over the papers to make sure they understand what they are signing. The point I’m trying to make is that they have multiple chances to change their mind. They can change their mind even as they have the pen in their hand. Also, some birth Moms do not want to see the baby at all whereas you have some who can tell the adopted parents that they do not want them at the hospital at all until after she signs away her rights. Believe it or not, birth moms have a lot of power before signing.
What is talked about very little is the fact that once the baby is passed to the adoptive parents the birth mother is rarely given any support. Sadly, it is very traumatic for many birth mother's and they never, ever get over giving their child up. It is thought that most birth mother's are drug addicted poor women and nothing could be further from the truth. Birth mother's need more support. Many would prefer to raise their child themselves but due to lack of support, they feel they can't and many feel backed into a corner of having no choice. I believe that a birth mother should be required to have 10 days with their child after birth before making her final decision...just to make sure she is making the right decision for her and her child. If you have ever seen someone close to you go through this, you would realize how difficult this decision is and that birth mother's should be given more support as they go through this.
The agency's and adoptive parents give birth mom's money for three months for rent clothes and food. Adoption is suppose to be good but adoptive parents get more support before a baby and after
It's a very touching story, a lovely that an image of you that how u 😢 never forget that influenced and inspired you to give your baby a good future with his or her adopted parents lovely no matter what future lies.
I know it’s been 6 yrs, but I’m just now seeing this and I’m very happy that Dominique was able to find a loving family for her son. I’m so glad that she didn’t choose abortion and instead chose adoption. Adoption is a beautiful thing. While I have never formally adopted children, I have informally adopted lots of children throughout my life and will continue to do so because everybody deserves someone to love them. God loved us first, so I chose to love others as he has loved me.
She is a very brave young girl. Having gone through this myself, one of my wishes would be to have had an open adoption. After 42 years of while researching my family genealogy and a DNA test, my questions were answered , and he was alive and well. No, I am not his mom, but I gave birth to him, and giving up a child puts a big hurt on your heart. He told me that he had been looking for his birth parents for 20 years. I reminded him that he had loving parents. A mother and father who raised him to be a proud, strong, and loving man.
I’m adopted as well because my birth mom didn’t have enough money to take care of me and it’s so emotional because it’s hard giving up a child that you love soooo much
I'm sorry if this is too personal but it sounds like Dominique was maybe considering an abortion? Again I apologize if that's too personal. Either way I'm thanking God for Dominique's bravery in carrying Everett to term and to love him so much to give him to a loving home. My wife and I want to get into Foster Care ourselves which means a lot to me since my late father was a foster child himself
The fact that the two families share the baby during the 48 hours seems strange and wrong. Both the couple and the birth mother are rapidly getting very attached to the baby, and someone's heart is going to be badly broken.
I don't think it's right, the mother needs more time to make such a decision, immediately after giving birth it's cruel and unfair, the adoptive parents should have given her more time and said we understand everything, you have the right to change your decision, it's your child and not to think only about yourself and their desire to be parents.
This is so wrong. 48 hours is not enough time to make a PERMANENT decision of lifelong severance. The child experiences profound trauma from infant/mother separation that early. We don’t even allow puppies to be separated from their mother until 6 weeks - which developmentally is like 42 weeks for a human.
What an amazing, beautiful, strong & brave mommy Dominique will make some day! Putting her children first is what makes an amazing mother!

Hoping they kept in touch with her
It's a shame birth some fathers don't have to face reality.
What an absolutely amazing birth mother and woman Dominique is. Wow!

I balled my eyes out through the whole thing. I hope they keep in touch with the birth mom. I could never imagine how hard this decision was .
God bless that young woman for giving such a gift, I pray her life is full of good things❤🙏🙏

this is so powerful! I wish stories like these would go viral! Or be on the news. How our world would be different.
What a strong, brave and amazing mother.
This was so beautiful. I hope both families are happy and living their best lives
I'm so sad for the mother. It's heartbreaking that she felt she had to part from her baby. Mothers should be supported more.
These people are incredibly kind and compassionate. Inspiring!

Brave dominique ur soo brave and smart. Lucky to u and ur b boy such an adorable couple they deserve d very best thanks to you .🎉❤🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤
What an amazing young lady!
Do you think 48 hours is enough for such a life changing decision . I really hope moms have more time with their babies without being pushed ..

I hope they have an open adoption. This little boy and all adopted children deserve to know where they come from.
That's not always the best
What a beautiful testimony!
People who say that mothers "can just put the baby up for adoption" as if it's nothing should be required to watch this.
gracias Señor Dios por que hay gente que recibe a los bebes para amarlos y bendecirlos
I’m adopted as well because my birth mom didn’t have enough money to take care of me and it’s so emotional because it’s hard giving up a child that you love soooo much
Omg I’m in tears!!!
I hope they keep an open adoption... i have been looking for my brother for 56 yrs....
Omg I cried like a baby the entire time
I am happy to live in a country where all young mothers can keep Their babies
It's not that she can't. She's chosen what she feels will be better for her child
Just BLESSINGS ❤🙏
BEAUTIFUL !!!
Splendid video

So precious ❤
Beautiful
