Other than that, the most important things to me are the safety features which the 2.0G doesn't have. Traction Control & EBD. There are other accessories which the 2.0G doesnt have but those dont really matter. A 1.5 tonne car without Traction Control is kinda of dangerous when the car is out of control unless you are a rally driver. The extra RM 363 yearly road tax is worth every penny of it. Smoother ride, better FC on the highway. City drive is the same for 2.4 n 2.0 as you only need to press the accelerator softly on the 2.4 engine to get the 1.5 tonne car going. Info sharing for you guys who are still undecided whether to get the 2.0 or the 2.4. Road Tax Price 2.0G RM 379.00 vs 2.4V RM 742.00 Driving on the highway at 110km/h 2.0G is 2450 rpm vs 2.4V is 1850 rpm @ 160km/h 2.0G is 4000 rpm vs 2.4V is 3000 rpm Maintenance 2.0 n 2.4 is the same, except for the ATF gearbox and 1 side of the engine mount at the gearbox side. So, the 2.4 is slightly more expensive to maintain. The difference is should be around RM 100.00. The 2.4V also rides on bigger wheels at 17 inch compare to 16 inch on the 2.0G. So the tyres would be more expensive to replace. The weight for 2.0G is 1480kg and 1540kg for the 2.4V. Thank you all. Please correct me if I am wrong.
In Spore, this exact car is selling for SGD$80 000 & can only be driven for 7 years. Road tax is about $1800 & insurance is roughly $600 per annum. If RM44 000 (SGD$12 500) in such good condition Camry is expensive for Malaysians, there's something wrong with the country.
