I'm a little sad that Book and Trance got nerfed, but given how well they work together on hybrid gods I'm gonna be happy they really pull down the max power of gods like Neith, the rest all looks pretty reasonable and the god buffs seem interesting. Can't wait to see how Ama and Nu Wa play with their intro to Smite 2, seems like a good patch overall
Neith's buff was pretty huge this patch and I think she was already a top midlaner before getting way more damage on her weaves so I think you HAVE to take away something from her - the two items should probably be exclusive from each other in all honesty.
@@thelocalspinda4086 I honestly forgot she even got buffed, somehow my brain skipped over that. And yeah I do agree, I feel those two items should be exclusive from each other because of how well they interact for hybrid characters, Trance and Book together are a must build and I feel it won't be healthy long term for the game
@@blitzpsycho1560 im probs biased because getting hit for 700 midgame by her ult is making me scream and fighting her in mid when her early game is so much better than any mages is so frustrating but the fact that she carries over into late game just like any mage because she can get 200 of both powers from 2 stacking items is nuts.
Omg i might play it now that theres role preference, that was my biggest problem. I always got people that would throw and not play thier roles because they werent fast enough

i love the game itself and i see the potential for greatness this patch should be a turning point
Decent patch, good nerfs to damage items, but maybe too many of them were hit, Tank items will hopefully feel much better to build, and the gods chosen for this patch feel like they used a random number generator. Smite 1 is still my preferred way of playing tho.

they could have left guantlet of thebes alone. Protections is needed for us tanks.
They gave more than enough prots on the rest of items, such as Pharaoh's, spectral, oni hunters, and Talisman to make up for it
I was kinda not playing the game as a conquest main as I could never get the role I wanted so these are really good changes
Is there a mmr system in unranked?
As a new player I'm struggling a bit, seems like I'm playing against people who have played Smite1 for a very long time. This dampens my enthusiasm of signing in to play and learn.
I do play arena about 30% of the time, usually for a warm up and learning new gods. I'm not new to Mobas per say just this style.
There is an mmr system, but every single person was set to the start because Smite 2 is a different game.
If you want truly balanced matchmaking you're going to have to wait until full release, or Free to Play, at least
I'd download smite 1 and give it a go and see how it feels

I thought he said something about worshipers in the last video previously about this patch... Like a nerf to gaining worshipers because people were making lvl 10 to fast

Not going to lie… I kinda hate the active items, not because I hate actives as a concept, more that they kinda just steal a move from an existing character. Like Tyr’s pushback and now Ishtars cone autos.

new patch completely reset all of my keybinds, and every match i have to reset settings like sensitivity, store stuff, instant cast etc. Oh and I cant type my sens i have manually click from 25 down to 7 sens .25 at a time. Is hi rez gonna buy me a new mouse for all the clicking? Maybe i just wont play
Role queue was the biggest thing lacking in this game.
Is matchmaking also in casual queues now?
Elite Q is great but it fucked the game for everyone else. I’m just shy or the requirements so now when I solo Q even tho I’m top SR I’m never first pick, bronze and amber are my teammates and I’m always against a team of plat +
I lost almost all my games yesterday and my win% went down almost 10%
Can’t even hyper carry as jungle cause my team steals my speed and farm even after I start the game 3-0 in the first min
Hearing them dump down ama ultimate is so disappointing. I'm praying they don't dump down more skill shots.
Game still unplayable on Xbox mnk the UI is horrible can’t navigate any menus if my life depended on it and has been like that since week 1 closed alpha I guess I’ll be still waiting again for the next update to play the game I payed money to play early…
You paid money to play an as advertised unfinished product.
Those features will he coming in the future, and the UI navigation has been upgraded and changed every single update. If you're not happy with it, voice constructive feedback to the devs with the in game surveys and bug reports, or their discord. Hence the purpose of a CLOSED ALPHA.
@@ImmortalMarshmallow It’s been 4 months now not having basic menu navigation is inexcusable I’m not defending them anymore it’s a joke they need to fix their fucking game. They have no problem creating a tournament already and having people buy cosmetics but can’t fix basic things that should be included in any game regardless of alpha or not. I won’t be playing I couldn’t care less if this game dies or not by the time it comes out tired or supporting a money hungry company and a toxic game community.

Well at least the triple stacking shit is addressed, though maybe don't hit the thebes lol good patch overall
They hit Thebes, but they gave much more protections to like 70% of the tank items
Thebes gave the most stats out of any item in the game it was a must build tank support item or else you were useless.

Im really hoping this update keeps everyone playing smite 2 long enough for me to try the smite update on thursday without all the trolls coming back. Getting real tired of people getting bored of smite 2 just to go back to yoloing in smite 1. I get that theyre probably doing it to try to make smite 2 look better by comparison (i mean half your team dcing has to look better than your whole team trolling, right?) but theres no reason to ruin smite 1 for the people that are actually trying to enjoy the game still. Realistically though, ill see you trolls on thursday 😂
It won’t because they took away good characters that didn’t need a nerf like Susano but people keep constantly complaining like he’s so op

That and almost all major bugs have been fixed. There's a whole section of the patch notes dedicated to bug fixes that wasn't covered in this video.
Hopefully the ranked changes help out. Being a silver player going against deity players really just made me not want to play the game

Can’t even carry the games because my teams is constantly all amber bronze while we face a full plat team
(I am just shy of SR requirements and now even further from it just from playing yesterday)
