I think the reason why the bridge is kinda moving like there's a wheel is because of the thrust. You see, jet engines have thrust because that's the only way they can move. They aren't connected to a wheel, which is same with aircrafts. It has thrusters, which is the same as jet engines. These turbine engines are so powerful at pushing, they can move such heavy aircrafts.
Hover tech has an easy mechanic that a lot of games use. There is a constant force enough to make the vehicle fly but at a certain distance from the ground. It even has its own name which is ''hovering'' and not flying. Force acts similar to two magnets pushing eachother. Try playing other games and try to understand its basics I suggest. The devs probably used the same method as other cars to make it easier to deal with because its a new concept and mechanics to the game. So there is a change you're right but just enjoy the fact that there is a hoverbike in the game now : )
Airtime is air time though, it's just suspended, "hovering" if you will lol When it gets actual air time it counts and you can make it stay in the ground or constantly wheelie for the entirety of the race etc. I haven't seen anything about the constant wheelie or airtime (not using a mod/etc.) and don't want it patched honestly. You do know about them though right? Also, it's not an invisible wheel, but you can break one or both thrusters of course. Reborn, the Hoverbike even if it's floating it's still on the ground, otherwise it wouldn't make sense, it's fine as it is now, and there are no hidden wheels, know that

If Hover Bike gets airtime for just hovering, that's unlimited money and just ruins the point of the game. Imagine earning money from Track Editor. Its the same

It is not a wheel but pressurised air put down by the motor, like trains in Japan. If it flies, it is another motor, air can't push on the floor.
