This is by far für most helpfull explanation in how to set up and calibrate the maschine. The original manual or videos are not as clear as yours! Many thanks!
Hi ! Quick question 🙋♂️ For example if my ddd is 0.28 mm -> 0.70 mm . If I’m going finer would be 0.26 mm to 0.70 mm. And if I’m going coarser would be 0.30 mm to 0.70mm . So it’s an even number. But sometimes even going coarser or finer that number doesn’t change but doing so it changes the taste of coffee . What’s your opinion on that ? Also do you change the grind size whilst the burs are in motion ? I’ve got this grinder for few weeks now and I’m experimenting but so far we are quite happy with it and it’s very accurate in grinding. Looking forward to your response ! Happy grinding and pouring ! 😀⏰🥐☝️
The orange text only serves to let you know when you've strayed off of the programmed grind setting. If it disappears, this means you've reached the programmed setting.
Hey! You did not calibrate disc distance. It should appear "calibration succeed" and 0.000mm to 0.070mm on the screen mean while on your screen the disc distance remain the same 0.410mm.
I want to mention that your video is very explicit and made it easy to understand how to calibrate this mahlkönig grinders, my first comment was just an observation:)
It is calibrated for dosing accuracy at the factory, however it is recommended to do it again after the grinder has gone through its long (and probably bumpy) transit from Hamburg to your door.

Glad to help!
Can't help but notice the espresso machine on the bench, which manufacturer is it from?
Great video! Thank you for sharing! do you know how to update the E65S GbW software? I heard there is a new firmware version.
Thank you so much this helps a lot. I was wondering why it wouldn’t grind automatically when I had to bring it out for an event.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much! I use your Video Mandy times !👍🏼🇩🇪
Brother, what is the problem when you grind it and it scatters?
If the grind sprays off to the side, the flapper needs to be wiped off and reinstalled.
Perfekt !!! Vielen Dank 🎄
Wonderful and very helpful video. Ty!

Hello! It’s generally advised to be running the grinder when adjusting finer to avoid burr lockup.
Great set up video. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Small question, i followed the steps but the orange text 0.070 disappeared. So i only see my burr adjustment. What can i do?

@@primacoffeeequipment thanks a lot for the reply
What espresso machine is that next to the grinder?
The El Rocio Ragen.
Which espresso machine is that???
That is the Ragen from El Rocio. It's a machine we're currently testing :)

Thank you and congratulations on all the topics covered. One question I have, does it also work with 54mm filter holders? Like Dalla Corte espresso.
Most likely! We have succesfully used Breville 54mm portafitlers with the GbW grinders.
Why is it not set to 0 at the factory ? Was yours second hand ?
No, not second hand. Some may be set at zero and some may not, so it's good to go through the setup and calibration either way.
Do you Have any e80 gbw video?
Not yet! Most likely early 2023.
Sheesh this packed with tech
Wished i can have it
Great!!Can u even do E80 Supreme?Plz
We think we can make that happen!
@@primacoffeeequipment i will keep wait,tks a lot.

@@dariusstoia5422could you help me? My 0.070 to xxx disappeared after calibrating my disc distance did i do something wrong?
@@Mathisken123 never encountered something like that
I noticed this aswell, i did mine, it shows 0.000m but when i turn it off and on again it goes back to the uncalibrated number :(
For the price I would hope it came calibrated i.e. this step to be part of QA.
