The one that seems to amaze you the most is the polyphonic voice. Диана это чудо, но это чудо мы могли ни когда не услышать если бы не ее мама, не хочу употреблять слово приемная, которая вложила свою душу в эту девочку это именно она решила что Диана должна заниматься вокалом так как до пяти лет Диана не могла разговаривать и за того что особь которая ее родила чуть не убила ее. Так что низкий поклон этой великой женщине маме Дианы за то что она подарила нам возможность слушать этот дарованный Богом талант. Счастья тебе Дианочка ты достойна его как никто другой.

Great reaction! She was 15 when she sang Wicked Game. If you like stage presence and that tribal sound you should listen to Rechenka (The River) which she sang at 14. It is a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her mother's blessing for her marriage. Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talents was quickly recognized and the rest is history.
A once in a lifetime voice in an amazing world class singer and stage performer of a ridiculously young age coupled with natural charisma and captivating presence. Part of an audience all awaiting the blast off to the world's biggest stages is how it feels following Diana.
Abandoned at 3 with a broken arm in Russian winter by an alcoholic mother, she didn't speak for years from the trauma. Her adoptive mother put her in singing classes in an attempt to get her to open up. And now we get to be blessed by this goddess.

Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel and other techniques from classical singing and opera..). The one that seems to amaze you the most is the polyphonic voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result.
This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya, the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6!
This broadcast is "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old.
In this shows Diana is directing, arranging and preparing her performances herself. She's a real creator.
In addition, her costumes are designed and sewn by her mother and grandmother since she was 5.

Диана это чудо, но это чудо мы могли ни когда не услышать если бы не ее мама, не хочу употреблять слово приемная, которая вложила свою душу в эту девочку это именно она решила что Диана должна заниматься вокалом так как до пяти лет Диана не могла разговаривать и за того что особь которая ее родила чуть не убила ее. Great reaction! She was 15 when she sang Wicked Game. If you like stage presence and that tribal sound you should listen to Rechenka (The River) which she sang at 14.
It is a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her mother's blessing for her marriage.
Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talents was quickly recognized and the rest is history.
